P.S. I really hope D&D have better attempts at comedy than tonight. None of those jokes worked.
i think that the tyrion "wants" … moreto eat baby joke was funny ._. but then again idk what other jokes youre talking about since that was the only time i laughed.
I can't stand them. Do the writers think I'm supposed to like them? How was I supposed to react to their comic relief after they killed Trys… moretane, a character I had no reason to dislike at all? 'Woo, you go girl!' or something? It's like they can't decide if they're supposed to be characters the audience will root for or completely unsympathetic morons, and they end up being the latter every single time.
Can someone explain me how the fuck Obara and Nymeria got on the the same ship as Trystane when the last time we saw them they stayed at Dorne as Trystane sailed for King's Landing? Teleport?
Daario Nahareis or whatever. Yeah I'm almost certain he'll die this season. Him and Jorah I guess.
Dorne really doesn't feel like it's being taken seriously. Like what happened is a pretty big deal and i am almost certain it won't matter until the season finale. Besides the two sisters who killed the prince I'm sure no one else will be anywhere near Kings Landing.
Good episode
* Nice to see Dany not so high and mighty
-"It is known"
* The Melisande reveal was quite cool
* Cersei and Jamie toget… moreher was nice to see
* Tyrion and Varys was nice to see
* Jorah and ....uh sellsword are okay, I'm not that interested in their little quest really
* Ellaria and those sandcunts are starting to piss me off

I love scene with Brienne and Sansa. By laying her sword Oathkeeper at her feet, she is basically returning Ned's sword to the Starks.
Oathkeeper is forged from the steel of Ned's greatsword, in case you are wondering.
i rewatched it and it was a big ass knife and i first thought it was placed more to the right of his shoulder, so there is where i had my problem in that part. also from what ive heard about the character he seems wasted. but i didnt know him so fuck him. but still i dont think it was that bad or good. its still up to question.
i mean how does that lil girl kill that big ass motherfucker that fast from that lil stab?
At a guess if you pop a blade between the spinal column's joints they're going down and not getting back up.
I am wondering what would have thought Oberyn about Ellaria and His beloved daughters, they exterminated his family. I wanted to enter the PC and strangle them to death. What the hell is Ellaria thinking, she has no claim to anything, and after what she has done to the Martells I hope Dornish people will give her what she and her spoiled brats daughters deserve. "We don't hurt little girls in Dorne, (worst)" Tell that to your lover Oberyn.
Excluding that abomination that always is Dorne it was a good premiere.
my god... that was awful. i mean, can they make them not talk like they are some young people from this generation? i mean, idk i just feel everytime they talk some wack, or they make it sound stupid, dry wack. you know..
I think that Ellaria has been driven completely insane by grief and the horror of witnessing Oberyn's head getting crushed. That's the only possible explanation why she is suddenly so mad to the point of killing her late husband's family.
But I agree. Beside the Dorne part, this was a good premiere episode.

He is either chilling at the North Grove or marching south to aid House Forrester. As for the remaining Forresters, I think they are enjoying their vacation.
Ellaria in books: Oberyn wanted vengeance for Elia. Now the three of you want vengeance for him. I have four daughters, I remind you. Your sisters. My Elia is fourteen, almost a woman. Obella is twelve, on the brink of maidenhood. They worship you, as Dorea and Loreza worship them. If you should die, must El and Obella seek vengeance for you, then Dorea and Loree for them? Is that how it goes, round and round forever? I ask again, where does it end? I saw your father die. Here is his killer. Can I take a skull to bed with me, to give me comfort in the night? Will it make me laugh, write me songs, care for me when I am old and sick?
Stannis's arc fucked last season, Dorne was the following.. Who's next?

I think showrunners could give her another name because she isn't the same Ellaria of the books.
Now, she killed Doran(Oberyn's brother), Trystane(Oberyn's nephew) and Myrcella(an innocent girl) to avenge Oberyn's death, so she totally destroyed his entire family to avenge him? She is totally crazy, no doubt.

I follow the GOT's telltale forum and as usual I opened every thread to read it. I didn't even know that there would be a thread about it.
I got to admit I'm always amazed how they screw the original material, yes.

I actually don't like show Dorne if that's what you thought, but I have just as much right to call out bullshit when I see it. Sentence like "I'm always amazed how they screw the original material" is just that - hyperbole bullshit.
If you take an inch of objectivity, compare to the main content, it is actually screwing the original material. It's a fact.
Ellaria is for peace in books while evil for the hell of it in series, Doran just sit in the series while he got masterminds plans in books, Sand snakes are blood thirsty and kin-slayers while none of this in books, Myrcella dead while alive but injured and Trystane is just a child no one wants to harm while a mix with Quentyn (which we never saw an inch of it) and Trystane in series.
How can it be not screwing the original material?
Say it's bullshit if you want, it won't change the very nature of this.

Dorne isnt very good in the show, but it wasnt that great in the books either. The problem is the books just started having way too many characters and plotlines, this led to pretty much the entirety of the last two books unraveling all these plot lines.
Im not that happy about the changes in the show however their necessary to progress the plot forward.

Dorne being fucked up in the show (it's really not that amazing in the books either tbh) doesn't mean they are screwing the whole original material. And the fuck does that even mean? If something sucks in the show then it sucks in the show - that changes nothing in the original material so how exactly does it screw it? "Boohoo they ruin the books boohoo." If a show ruins the books for you then you have problems.

They screw the Dorne's plot in the series, 'cause you know, it's an adaptation, not DD's fanfiction (at least it was supposed to at first). I thought it was pretty obvious.
I didn't mean it means it ruins the books for me, for it would be a shame for such a good material. I enjoyed the Dorne's plot in books; of cours it means not expecting at every turn bad jokes, actions and shock values at every turn of the plot (hello trystane and Doran). Honestly, it's ridiculous how they kill characters so fast with no reason.
You're quite rude while I never insulted you, so if someone is whining, it's more you than me. I never asked you to comment on my thread, and you are keeping with "I thought you weren't watching and all gestapo-like" which is quite boring.

They legit brought three pretty good characters (they may have been better in the books but they weren't horrible in the show. Dorne was kinda just horrible so it's not too bad) from season five just for them to die in the premiere. Not saying they shoulda just killed everybody but now it feels like they're tying up loose ends from last season.

No you never insulted me and I never said that you would have. I just hate slimy bastards who hate-watch the show and crawl to threads like this to bark over some detail in the show that "screws" their holy books, and then say "ooh I don't even watch the show, I just like to talk shit about it". Yes you have right to hate-watch, yes you have right to talk smack about the show, but don't expect that no one is going to call out that bullshit.
See, my point is not to defend this particular storyline in the show. I'm more than fine with people criticizing it, or any part of the show, but what you do is not criticizing - you just come here to be all smug and talk shit about a show you supposedly don't even watch.

"Slimy bastards" uh? Nice.
I can stand an argumented discussion , but I won't let myself be insulted. And as I said, I fell on this thread by accident.
Your only arguments are toward my person while I use quote, extracts of the original content. That's crazy how some show watchers can't stand an argumentation which isn't his.

Oh yes, your arguments are on a very steady ground when you don't even watch the show. And again as I already said the problem is just that you are not here to have a conversation about the show (a thread made for talking about the show), you are here to make smug comments that can't even be described as criticism, because real criticism of the show actually analyzes the show as its own medium (which you obviously can't do because you don't watch the show) instead of just stating that "books are better, D&D screw things".

I know why I was here, and it wasn't to say "the show is shitty". This thread is about this episode, and I was astonished they killed Doran and Trystane for more shock value. I can compare both seeing the things mentionned there and the fact I watch it until season 5.
For example: Ellaria is kind and for peace; she killed her almost step brother and step-son in the series. What do I need more to make "real criticism"? Do tell.
So I don't talk shit for the hell of it since I provided arguments, you provided none. It's not the first time you fell on me while commenting, with such things as "fuck off haters". So it's a bit tiring seeing people like you who can't stand another opinion which don't praise the show. I'm not saying the books readers are better (the spoiling ones were doing huge dick moves for example) but this fandom is a pretty cancer on both sides.

Not Tyrion, I was thinking about the Dothraki joke and another one that did not do anything for me. Something about pubic hair. I have to watch it again to remember exactly which one I'm thinking of.
One of the things that felt kinda rush/glazed over was the Dorne scene. I mean fridge Doran and Quinten are dead! That means Dorne's headed to inevitable war with the Lanisters and going to be leaded by.... um... the sand snakes? Ew....
I can compare both seeing the things mentionned there and the fact I watch it until season 5. For example: Ellaria is kind and for peace; she killed her almost step brother and step-son in the series. What do I need more to make "real criticism"? Do tell.
That's not real criticism of the show though. That's just saying "character x is different in the show than she is in the books, I don't like it." If you want to criticize the show then talk about the show not the books. I mean, yes, of course it's not abandoned to mention how things are in the books but that shouldn't be the core of the criticism or it turns just into purist bullshit. And no, I don't think Ellaria is a compelling character in the show, I don't care two shits about her. In the books she is one pretty good piece of dialogue. And yes that's all she is because that's literally the only thing ever used to describe her by these people who wish she would be like that in the show. Not that there is anything wrong with that, she is a very minor character and that's it. So minor that it shouldn't really matter if she is different in the show (and again reminder: no I'm still not saying she is good in the show, but the fact she is different should be no argument on criticizing).
It's not the first time you fell on me while commenting, with such things as "fuck off haters".
Oh how vile and evil that does sound... out of context. Because I was literally just, totally acknowledging it myself, hyping up the new trailer and even mentioned in that comment that it was just a joke and nothing personal.
So it's a bit tiring seeing people like you who can't stand another opinion which don't praise the show
All I have said is basically that you are not bringing anything to this thread because you certainly aren't here to talk about this episode as an objective viewer, or a viewer at all. Hell, I'm not even praising this episode myself, I certainly have my criticisms. I gave it 7/10, I mean it's not bad, but I wouldn't call it praising.
I'm not saying the books readers are better
Nice thing, I'm a book reader too btw.
but this fandom is a pretty cancer on both sides.
Agreed. But do you often see "show people" (as in people who enjoy the show I guess?) going to book reader threads commenting intentionally provoking stuff? Sure, something like that may happen in YouTube comment sections etc. sometimes, but 9/10 times it's started by someone who hates the show and has to come shouting it to a place where he/she definitely knows he/she will get the attention of those who like the show. I'm not saying that what you do on this thread is necessarily that (trolling) but it has a little stench of it.
I know why I was here, and it wasn't to say "the show is shitty". This thread is about this episode, and I was astonished they killed Doran … moreand Trystane for more shock value. I can compare both seeing the things mentionned there and the fact I watch it until season 5.

Yeah, I didnt see much in the way of jokes, unless your talking about the Sand Snakes fighting over who kills Trystane?
I did feel bad for Trystane. He did absolutely nothing wrong. But then innocent people get sacrificed all the time (Shireen).
More like plot hole.
Daario Nahareis or whatever. Yeah I'm almost certain he'll die this season. Him and Jorah I guess.

I'm not but I fell on this very thread and read.
They used Petyr Baelish airline to get them to King's Landing and then sneaked on board the ship when it arrived in King's Landing.
Otherwise, I don't know. Maybe the ship stopped at a coast to rest and from there, they sneaked on board?
you are curiously interested in a show you are supposedly not interested in

Oh how vile and evil that does sound... out of context. Because I was literally just, totally acknowledging it myself, hyping up the new trailer and even mentioned in that comment that it was just a joke and nothing personal.
Nice thing, I'm a book reader too btw.
