Healing would be nice. And super smarts, that'd be cool too, although since brain cells would never really die I guess that'd kinda be a side benefit of the healing, so yeah. Healing'd be my number one choice.
OK, weird question, but if you're a guy, and you shapeshift into a woman, could you get pregnant?
I read somewhere Mystique impregnated women as a man so I assume the reverse is true. Mystique has been pregnant so I wonder if she shape shifted into a man in those 9 months.
Time manipulation would be nice.
(Even if it was only short term. Like I could Quick Save/Load. In fact that would be my mutant name: QuickSave)
But since that's a little OP for a mutant power I'll take the ability to manipulate people to do what I want.
(For the greater good of course! ;D)
I just picked up a subscription to Marvel Unlimited. It's pretty cool, though difficult to read things in multiple series in the order they came out, which is annoying when you get to the big crossover events. I'm trying to get to the Civil War event in every comic I care about at the same time.
But anywho, I'm picking up most of the comics where I left off around 2005 and boy did I figure out what made me lose interest in X-Men. Chris Claremont still writes comics today exactly the same way he did in the 70s. Blech. Luckily it looks like I don't have too far to go before Brubaker takes over.
It also looks like there's a ton of mini-series that have happened since I stopped reading, both X-Men and otherwise. Any suggestions as to good ones since 2005? Read X-Men Deadly Genesis already because I remembered it being a big deal right as I was losing interest in spending that much money on comics.
I'm quite sad that they haven't asked Kelsey Grammer to come back as Beast for X-Men: Days of Future Past. Nicholas Hoult was fine as an inexperienced scientist for Beast's origin tale. But I can't see him portraying the intellectual, refined Beast for a movie that's supposed to take place after X-Men: The Last Stand.

It's past and future cast though so he could still play the young inexperienced one.
I think they should have a cameo of that guy whose mutant power is being completely covered with eyes. I always felt so sorry for him. He even had eyes inside his body. Like in his stomach.

When asked if Singer would ever consider featuring Apocalypse in one of his films, the director's face "changed immediately" before he nervously insisted that he "couldn't tell" interviewer Brenden Connelly.
Honestly, the plot's got me hooked. What happens when someone who's effectively immortal becomes mortal? Sold.
Yeah it's actually a good and challenging premise that could reap genuine cinematic reward. They're still going to eff it up, but at least they're trying.
Thanks you so much for sharing this article I think you have very knowledge about X Men films, I am also huge fan of X Men film series infect I am purchasing X Men Wolverine Jacket and I decided going to theater for watching X-Men: Apocalypse movie so I am wearing this jacket.

The forum today has reminded me how horrible some of the people here are at spamming compared to coolsome. Well, Daishi and Jennifer are still around and I came back. Sure, lets continue the conversation. I'm not sure what the big difference is, but for some reason, I'm mildly interested in the next X-men movie and not at all interested in what the Marvel Universe series is up to.
Holly cow, I forgot all about this thread. Four years ago, I REALLY wanted to express my opinions.
Sorry but that X3 idea was a colossal muddle, I was trying to follow TLS and I didn't put much thought or depth into it. Focusing instead on the fast pace and nothing else.
But aside the first two X-Men films are still in my favorites of my heart, plus First Class and ESPECIALLY Days of Future Past.
Eager to see X-Men: Apocalypse. But I'm calling it quits upon after the third Wolverine film. It's not because I'm getting old, but I think I've reached a point to where I've seen much (films, tv and a variety of stories) and wish to evolve to the next level: by creating something of my own. Which will not be an easy task, but with determination and confidence, and keeping my creative juices flowing, it will be done.
I don't mind X3. It's a decent enough movie on it's own, and the ending really doesn't matter now after the timeline has been altered after Days of Future Past. Same goes for X-Men Origins: Wolverine (although it's great that Deadpool got a movie that was faithful to the comic character - I have yet to see it, but I've heard nothing but good about it).
I'm looking forward to X-Men: Apocalypse. I've loved the X-Men movies almost as much as the Marvel Cinematic Universe (which is a lot). I'd love to see Spiderman go back into Marvel's hands, but Fox on the other hand has shown that they can make great movies with the X-Men license (I just wish they weren't such sticklers about not allowing Marvel to use the term mutant).
Agreed. My brother and I have followed the Marvel Cinematic Universe since the first Iron Man. But after viewing Captain America: Civil War, I want to call quits on the MCU. Don't get me wrong, the films were good and established true characters, but I have lost interest in them before this year began, I can't explain it.
But the X-Men, I still hold in high regard, I practically grew up with them, of course it was the animated series, but that opened the door to the concepts of prejudice and outcast. I know Hugh Jackman's Wolverine stole a good portion of the first two X films, but they are still my favorites, some characters had their moments big and small. Hell, I don't have a problem with Hugh being the one sent back in time in DOFP.
The altered timeline was a breath of long awaited fresh air, after spending so many years ashamed of films after X2, I can now no longer look upon the X-Men films in shame (don't get me wrong I still despise X3 and the other Wolverines). But still, Upon reading what could have been if Bryan Singer done the third X-Men film, it hurts me very, very much. It would've been brilliant. I blame Tom Rothman, and any other executive with the patience of a gnat.
Sorry, I have developed a distain for media executives.

Also, since this thread has become more of a general X-Men thread, I've renamed it as such.
What the hell is taking The Wolverine trailer so long!

If it's as good as the Dark Phoenix Saga then its a great thing.
It's past and future cast though so he could still play the young inexperienced one.
Finlay blood on the claws!
At lest he can always watch what he eats.

He will probably be in the teaser credits of DoFP. Like Thanos.
This one has a nice director, I'm optimistic for now.
But let's be honest - Miracle Day would have been way more awesome with Hugh Jackman in it.
Yes but it wouldn't be as sexy.

You made an account just to revive a 3 year old thread?

Who revived this thread?
No idea, but I can assure you that I'm not going by "susan" these days.
