The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya is pretty good. Just know that if you're gonna watch it, the series is not in chronological order. So if you wanna watch it in order just watch it on Kissanime. The guys on the site set it up to be in chronological order.
There's also a film called The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya which wraps up the series nicely.
Man I so wanted to like Hellsing Ultimate. I mean it had Vampire Nazis, played the song Englandlied, I should of loved it to death... but in the end I was insanely disappointed, even it's sound track wasn't memorable and even NES games have memorable sound tracks.

Nice these are getting released on youtube. Background is just utterly brilliant. I know, right? Misa was making this anime really hard to watch at some points in the story, but I still enjoyed it.
The ones I used to watch:
* Dragon Ball Z Kai: Same as the normal dbz but with less talk and more action.
* Pokemon: No need to ex… moreplain
* Inazuma Eleven: Its Football type with power kicks and stuff.
* Bakugan: Similar to pokemon.
I know, most of them are pretty childish
durarara is a great anime as it shows everyday life in ikebukuro japan ,trinity blood is a great vampire anime set in the future hellsing is another great vampire anime, youre under arrest ovas are great as it is a tokyo pd kind of anime, black rock shooter i found was quite good but also pretty complicated, ninja scrolls is a great samurai anime and ruoni kenshin samurai x. these are my most recomended anime.
Jk, i like anime even though i don't watch it that much, i'd recomend you watching Trigun,Cowboy Bebop, Monster and Deadman Wonderland. I'd recomend you others like Death Note, Bleach (The fights get boring after a while) and Fullmetal Alchemist but they're very popular and probably already got suggested in this thread

Kuroshitsuji, skip episodes 1-3, they are mostly fillers and is boring af.
Season 2 is when the series gets really dark and the story unfolds a lot.
Cartoons? I'd say Mystery Incorporated is the darkest and most dramatic cartoon I have seen/
