Am I the only one who dosen't care about being the better person when it comes to killing/sparing?

  1. St. John brothers
  2. Tweedle Dum
  3. Crooked Man
  4. Britt
  5. Beskha's master
  6. Randall
  7. The soldier at Gared's farm
  8. Clementine's captor
  9. Watching Kenny kill Carver (this isn't a kill or spare option, but it's so satisfying to watch Kenny kill Carver)
  10. Trying to maim Gryff
  11. Giving that guy at the river water
  12. Trying to stab Ramsay

I mean, seriously. I think it's totally unfair to spare these guys just to be the better man. All it does is make you look weak. I really enjoyed killing these guys and have no regrets about it. Being nice to a total asshole does nothing nice for you. Am I the only one who feels this way?

  • I fucked Tweedle Dum up. You aren't the only one, trust me.

I didn't kill the St John brothers because Clementine was watching although I really wanted to. As for the rest I totally agree with you. Especially Crooked Man and Tweedle Dum I hated those fuckers and enjoyed having Bigby kill them.

  • So did I. It felt so satisfying.

I killed every single one of these guys. Fuckers deserved it. All of them. And I reassured Clementine about killing the St. Johns, so I felt better about it :). Actually, I let Beskha kill her master. It was her right, not mine.

  • Same, Fuckers are just going to cause more damage.

Update: I added Clementine's captor and the watching Kenny kill Carver one. Watching Kenny kill Carver isn't a kill or spare one, but it's so satisfying, and it's total bullshit to not watch just to be the better person. Did you guys do either of these two?

  • Right? I really enjoyed killing these bastards. So satisfying.

Same, Fuckers are just going to cause more damage.

  • Agreed. I felt like he deserved it at the time and I still do.

So did I. It felt so satisfying.

  • I actually loved Carver as a villain. But I watched him die. Much more satisfying.

  • ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

  • Nah, I do it too. Sparing the characters is pretty pointless in a game and not very satisfying.

  • Yeah, it is pretty pointless.

  • Well, I like to think of games as real life, so I'm all for sparing people, since they are still people, no matter what you say.

  • That's fine. It's your playstyle

  • Sorry if I came off as a douche there. It wasn't intentional.

  • I spare characters all the time. Not a single character in The Walking Dead died by my hand. It's mostly because it's a personal belief of mine that killing is wrong. Only justifiable in self-defense. I even tried to stop Kenny from killing Carver. I walked away because I wanted nothing to do with murder. I agreed with Luke 100% "There ain't one part of that son of a bitch I don't hate but that does not make this right."

Asher is the exception to my 'no kill' rule. Because the way I play him is angry and impulsive. It feels right for him to be a 'kill everything' character.

  • Well for me it really depends on the character I played as.

For example, Bigby was a character who I felt could really go from Calm to fuck shit up, which is why I played him in a way of Id try working it out at first but if I had to I wouldnt be afraid to hurt or kill the person.

  • For me I depend on whether the person helps or not. For example, in TWD I killed the St. John Brothers because I knew that there was no way that they could help the group at all. Another example is when I spared Bloodsong in GoT because he was the best pit fighter and he fights for House Forrester so I thought it would be good to have him at our side.

  • I gotta admit, when I first saw the title of this, I was thinking to myself: "What in the hell is up with this guy?" Then I saw it was related to videogames, and everything was cool.

I had Lee Spare Andy St. John. And I had Big by spare Tweedle Dum. But as far as the other games, I haven't touched them.

  • No, I did everything you listed besides maiming gryff. Only reason I didn't do that was because I didn't feel like Rodrick would do something like that.

Same. Sparing those fuckers means you're such a coward who puts more trouble around, they deserve justice. For example: Weren't you upset when Morgan spared a crew of wolves so they could run away with everything they have stollen? But I didn't exactly kill everyone you listed:

    1. St. Johns: I spared Danny because there was no way he could have escaped that bear trap so walkers killed him and left Andy because I wanted walkers to take care of him.
    2. TweedleDum: Definetly killed that motherfucker, I don't care about Snow's or Fabletown's opinion, I'm the BIG BAD FUCKING WOLF, I kill whoever gets in my way, sparing Dum is pointless, he does nothing for you in the finale so he deserved to die.
    3. Crooked Man: I wasn't sure about his punishment but when he tried to throw me down the well, I completely decided and threw him down.
    4. Britt: I pushed him off the edge because I would not resist to let my family's killer walk around alive.
    5. Beshka's master: I didn't let her do that because I didn't want to screw up the deal, I even told her that he does deserve to die but not while we had a deal.
    6. Randall: Killed that asshole because he was such a loose canon and threatened about killing everyone mercilessly.
    7. The whitehill soldier: He messed up with my family. Why would you spare someone who killed your family right at the moment?
    8. Clementine's Captor: I tried to kill him but Telltale made the QTE disappear to make me stop pressing.
9: Watching Kenny kill Carver: Just wanted to see how he dies
    9. Made Gryff lose his eye: Seriously, he is a coward and beat an injured lord to show who is the boss around.
    10. Gave Victor the water: But he didn't say shit about Christa so I regretted that.

I agree. Even though I didn't kill Randall, this also applied to Michonne for me. Being a better person was not really the reason I spared him. I also let Asher be a little reckless as well (I let Beskha kill her master and killed Bloodsong)

Characters like Clementine I just want to preserve their innocence, and characters like Rodrik I want to keep noble, though I did kill the traitor.

Well, I'm really annoyed. A few members have carelessly spoiled something reguarding Randall. I feel like a lot gets spoiled for me lately and it's pissing me off. The spoiler tag exists for a reason.

Edit: Sorry forget my rant, it's my own fault. The op tagged Walking Dead spoilers and I didn't consider that he might've been talking about Michonne as well.

  • Yup same for me, my Clem has killed no one so far and I played Asher recklessly

Are you Leatherface or what? That's what he would say.
