    Why?

  • Alright, then I would love to hear why you think we should live in fear of terrorists every day.

    False.

According to his father, it has nothing to do with how he was raised and also he was apologising for his sons actions.

In addition both parents are disgusted with what he did.

  • That tells us literally nothing.

    Read @lottii-lu's post.

  • Okay that makes more sense. I was pretty confused.

    Thanks for clarifying.

  • So we should live in fear for...What reason?

Listen man, this shit sucks, but you are offering me no reasons to why we should live in fear everyday. That's what terrorists want. Plus, terrorists are going to have a hard enough to time getting access to one nuclear weapon, much less enough to nuke the whole country. This irrational fear is getting us no where to combating terrorism.

It's been happening for, like, a long time. How long before they nuke the whole country?

  • I'm still voting for Trump.

    That tells us literally nothing.

  • I mean that what he did is only ISIS's business, so I don't want people to think that every Muslim American ever has the urge to shoot up any person or group that they disagree with their views, because it's very common to start hating on all Muslims just for the actions of one single individual.

    EDIT: Nevermind, it's clear..

  • You have given no reasons to why, I personally don't care who you vote for but please do it based on facts and reasoning.

    I'm still voting for Trump.

  • I'm sorry, hopefully this doesn't turn into an argument since I want to stay with the threads rules, but the guy is using this as a excuse to prove how bad Muslims are and is congratulating himself just to get some support.

    Long live Donald Trump!!!

  • I just did.

No...You didn't. You said he's taking precautions, which he isn't. You referenced me to a post which showed he was patting himself on the back that a mass terrorist shooting happened. There were no precautions which stopped that, much less any solutions Trump has offered. Give me some actual solutions he has offered that will actually stop terrorism and doesn't forcefully discriminate against Americans.

    Edit: Typo.

    I just did.

  • But his comments are definitely insensitive.

Whose? Trump's? how so? He didn't say anything wrong. All he said is that he was right about this, and he acknowledges it.

Also, I love how nobody mentions this tweet.

  • That's bullshit mate. You're talking with the emotions you just had seeing this event. You're young and your bubble of security exploded, and a weird feeling of insecurity took its place. It's natural, it will eventually go away.

Terrorists won't kill your family or your friends. Your parents have still better chance to be crushed by a car or eaten by a shark rather being killed by terrorist, if it can help you to know it. You won't forbid every car or sharks because the risk exists, so why banning every muslims? Cause I guess that's why you're talking about voting Trump.

Also I think Lotti-lu's post was basically the contrary of what you ended saying.

    I just did.

  • That is unfortunate, was it apart of this shooting?

The 'Appreciate the congrats...terrorism' was what I was referring too. I suppose I should have said 'comment' rather than 'comments'.

  • Basically, he's trying to say Trump would take a more offensive approach against ISIS and retaliate with plenty of force, so as to keep people safer. (Considering we know he is very hard on radicalisation) I'm not an expert on Trump, nor do I support him, just trying to clarify and maybe stop a fight between you two.

You have given no reasons to why, I personally don't care who you vote for but please do it based on facts and reasoning.

  • Okay, but I still wouldn't call that insensitive. He didn't ask to be applauded. He was just simply thanking his followers for support.

  • Yeah, because a bunch of lowlifes like ISIS totally gonna get their hands on enough nukes to bomb the planet.

  • We aren't fighting, I'm asking him for why he's supporting a candidate. This is very civil.

At the same time, believing Trump would save lives is a poor belief. We have seen what plenty of force does to ideologies, it doesn't stop anything and would likely cause more American lives to be lost due to increased tension to opposing ideologies.
