If you like the games, it's quite good. Being almost directly adapted from the game's story with some "retconning" with somewhat low budget, makes it really a fan aimed thing.
Gundam Unicorn RE:0096 Episode 4 came ou yesterday on Gundaminfo channel on youtube. I give it a huge thumbs up. Gundam Unicorn is truly one of the best OVA anime made in a long time personally.
One of my favorite parts of the Gundam Unicorn OVA dominated the episode. I almost broke a tear from the atmosphere as it is so strong. Though you gotta give the sound tracks much of the credit for that the tracks that plays are amazing.
This track kicks in when everyone realizes they're fighting the Ghost of Char Aznable. I love the almost aircraft carrier style take offs they perform when this song kicks in as well. Everyone has a sense of fear in their expressions, as they know what they're going up against. enter link description here
Jk, i like anime even though i don't watch it that much, i'd recomend you watching Trigun,Cowboy Bebop, Monster and Deadman Wonderland. I'd … morerecomend you others like Death Note, Bleach (The fights get boring after a while) and Fullmetal Alchemist but they're very popular and probably already got suggested in this thread
So last night I just finished watching another anime (the last one I watched was Inuyasha)... My god it was so strange but I enjoyed it. Dagashi Kashi. An anime about.....
CANDY!
I first discovered this while browsing on the web and the art style attracted me and it looked like a relaxing show to watch for spring. It was okay, enjoyable, but I hoped there would be more to the story. Basically the story is 10% of it, 45% character interaction and 45% about the different candies of Japan. Although it was pretty funny at times (and on a more mature side mind you. Erm... ahem.) and it worked like those episodic shows I watch sometimes.
What it's about is that Kokonotsu (Coconuts) strives to become a mangaka however his dad wants him to take over the shop. Adding to the stress of Kokonotsu is a girl named Hotaru Shidare (sweet tooth in the gif) who is crazy for sweets and comes from one of the bigger candy companies trying to recruit Kokonotsu's father who says he will join only if his son becomes the next owner of the shop. And so Hotaru and the father both tries to have Kokonotsu run the shop.
Genre: Slice of Life, Comedy, Candy encyclopedia, and a bit of ecchi (oh, what a coinkidence)
Length: 12 episodes (there's more in the manga actually)

Gundam Info channel on youtube has been releasing two of the recent Gundam OVA series for free on youtube, both are very good. Heck very good is an understatement. They're AAA OVA series, better than some anime movies quality wise. They've not finishing releasing either of them but it's pretty epic getting to see them on youtube for free without being illegal.
Gundam Thunderbolt, not finished, i think 1-2 more episodes to go. They're not very long but jees I have to say the second is one of the darkest anime episodes I've ever seen. These are of course subbed. hehe enter link description here enter link description here
This last one is just the introduction to Gundam The Origin Episode 1. The first scene in the entire OVA series. This one like Thunderbolt is still in production, and unlike RE0096 will take a long time for episodes to come out. Currently they have 3 of the 4 episodes finished. enter link description here
Glad you enjoyed it. If you have time I'd also recommend watching Death Note (I really think everyone should watch this anime, It's amazing) and Noragami.
There's a lot of good anime out there, with a lot of different genres and styles. Quitting after one, is like saying you're done with television because you didn't enjoy Lost (just an example).

ReZero: Guy gets trapped in a fantasy world and dies, only to discover that he has a groundhog day effect which sends him back in time when he dies. Nice blend of humour and drama. Fairly brutal violence at times, so not for everyone.
My Hero Academia: Superhero school anime. Kind of shallow, but still a good deal of fun.
Kiznaiver: a group of seven people get abducted into an experiment where they share sensations of pain. Not as dark as it sounds.
Joker Game: An anime about a group of Japanese spies during WW2. Each episode tells the story of a single spy.
Tanaka-Kun is Always Listless: Comedy about a guy who has little energy and likes to go through life as relaxed as possible. Surprisingly well done.
Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress: Steampunk show with zombies. REALLY similar to Attack on Titan (for better or worse).
Glad you enjoyed it. If you have time I'd also recommend watching Death Note (I really think everyone should watch this anime, It's amazing) and Noragami.
Recently, having watched Hellsing 4-5 years ago (which I found enjoyable but barely mediocre), I picked up the OVA Hellsing: Ultimate - which is essentially a remake.
I am tempted to argue that, as far as action Anime is concerned, this is amongst the better that I have seen.
I stress, however, that this is little more than action. The plot is overall of meagre strength, the soundtrack is decent, but not memorable (I only really picked up on two tracks: "Gradus Vita" and "Die Fledermaus") and the antagonists (excluding a certain portly war-monger and a certain biologically immortal priest) are largely duller than a worn cliff face (although the reference to Der Freischütz in regards to one of them is neat).
Where it does shine and flourish gloriously, are in it's visuals and action sequences. The art style is something to behold unto itself, the fight scenes are gritty, bloody and visceral - probably the most so that I have seen thus far. And the one thing that saves the story from being as a pile of shit, and instead helps to make it enjoyable at least are the main characters (Alucard, Seras, Integra, Major, Anderson et cetera).
TL;DR - If you want something with a thrilling plot or a deeper message. Don't look here. If you want bespectacled badasses, ridiculously brutal and gloriously animated action, references relating to Christian history and vampire lore, Nazi vampires or just something to binge without thinking too hard, Hellsing Ultimate is all of these things.
It follows Sora(18) and Shiro(11), shut-in siblings that are addicted to gaming and well, hate the outside world. Then a strange e-mail challenging them to a chess match changes everything, from winning they're sent into another world where they meet Tet, the God of Games. This world problems and everything is resolved by playing games. Both parties must accept and uphold the pledges.
I highly recommend this series. I loved it, great comedy and the way Sora and Shiro act is brillaint.
Got a really cool art style, imo. Over look one thing and thats (the weirdness around shiro, (shes 11)) But it's only the odd occasion.
Thanks for still giving me suggestions guys! ^-^ I've been following up on them as best as I can, my friend really wants me to watch one called 'Dusk Maiden of Amnesia' right now xD
No Game No Life.
1 Season. 12 Episodes.
Comedy. Adventure. Gaming. Fantasy.

The story is about a boy whose parents were killed and he is kidnapped because their family is very rich.
He sold his soul to a demon named Sebastian.
But hey! Its not horror, I can tell you that.
Season 2 was way more intense in terms of dialouge and drama tho.
Not gonna spoil too much just watch it! But skip episode 1-4 of season 1 as they are very boring (and creepy)

No, just no. He needs to watch them anyway, how can you start watching something from the 5 episode? They have to introduce the characters in the first couple of episodes, so of course it's going to be a bit boring.
Season 2 was way more intense in terms of dialouge and drama tho.
Too bad the story didn't make much sense, it was full of fanservice (cough Hannah cough) and the ending was the biggest bs ever. But hey, at least the soundtrack was good.
Black Butler.
P.S. Skip episode 1-4 of season 1
Great mix of emotion and little comedy.

General rule of thumb is never skip episodes. Often early episodes are some of the weakest parts of a TV show, unless they're pilot episodes, in that respect they're then often the best quality episodes.

Gundam Unicorn RE0096 Episodes 1-9 English Dub (don't worry the dubs are actually very good) Being the default language of the Gundam universe is actually english it makes sense as well, all notes, signs and letters always are written in English so. 9th one ends with one heck of a climax, which is actually the end of the 3rd OVA version episode. lol This is the OVA that actually made me call Hellsing Ultimate lazy. RE0096 is basically then turning the Gundam Unicorn OVA into a TV series, which means they just cut up the hour long episodes into shorter episodes. Which is a good idea, being some people do not like watching hour long episodes.

Can't recommend it enough. So get watching!!!
24 episodes.
Time Travel. Science. Adventure.
if youre an akward anti social fuck who doesnt have any frends then watch Watamote
It hurts so much
"Wierdness"
I think you mean fanservice.
I will admit, though. If you can overlook that, you have a decent story.
There should be no fanservice towards 11 year olds. Therefore it's weirdness haha its just fucked
Yeah, it is fucked. Cannot understand as to why they would have this for a child character.
