I just wish that CoD did have a good story because I don't play online that much. BTW do you know any 1st person shooter with a good story by any chance?
I've played Far Cry 3 just a little bit because I have played Far Cry Blood Dragon and Far Cry 4. They were pretty good. And I'll see if Metro is good for me. Thanks!
Overwatch (Probably an amazing multiplayer, but why does it get so much attention?)
You just said it already. Because the multiplayer is amazing.
Beyond Two Souls (Just like Life is Strange, it focuses on the story more than the choices you make, you can't even die)
Games like that should focus more on the story. Why would they focus on the choices more? Also, who cares if you can't die in non-canon ways. It's honestly one of the most stupid things you can complain about.
Oxenfree (Probably a good story but a bit boring RPG)
You say that it has a good story but it's a boring RPG... how can... oh god. That's like the main aspect of every RPG. Plus, as Rabbit said, Oxenfree is not a RPG.
Little Big Planet series (Childish)
Okay, I think I heard enough. That's seriously the point where I can't take your opinion seriously, no matter how rude I actually sound. Many of the points you mentioned are honestly ridiculous.
I'm making a list again, sure some of them were mentioned already but I don't care:
* Life is Strange (You know why)
* Firewatch (What… more's so interesting about it? The graphics are animated, all you do is walk through the forest)
* Overwatch (Probably an amazing multiplayer, but why does it get so much attention?)
* Call of Duty series (WHY DO THEY EXIST????)
* Five Nights at Freddy's series (The Fanbase, I feel bad for Scott Cawthon)
* Quantum Break (Great graphics but a boring gameplay and story)
* Beyond Two Souls (Just like Life is Strange, it focuses on the story more than the choices you make, you can't even die)
* Assassin's Creed sequels after Black Flag (Ubisoft, that's why)
* GTA 5 (Great gameplay but the story is boring, GTA Online is the only thing which makes it awesome)
* InFamous Second Son (Great gameplay but a boring story and characters)
* Unravel (It's just boring as Little Big Planet series)
* Little Big Plan… [view original content]
I had a huge problem with Justin Bieber haircuts... I just never did feel like I had enough freedom in the game, and I couldn't make the JB the way I truly wanted... 2/10
Please, tell my in detail why Life is Strange is overrated? Because there's no shooting?
No dammit. It's because:
Choices don't matter until you chose how you want to end the game
Max Caufiled is the most boring protagonist I've ever played. She had such a bad voice-acting
Chloe Price is the worst character of the game. She is selfish, arrogant and she blames everyone who had nothing to do with the change of her life, even her best friends.
Choosing to kill Chloe means the whole story was fucking pointless
Choosing to destroy the town destroys Max's character so hard. Showing how a selfish bitch she could be to destroy a whole town for one girl
All I cared about this game is Max's rewind power and my unsolved question is "HOW DID SHE GET THOSE POWERS?" Dontnod will never answer this question because Max's story is soo over.
Chloe X Max seemed sooo forced in this game.
What's so interesting about the gameplay? All you is walking, talking, make decisions etc. In Telltale games, you do much more, for example: QTEs. because of those, you can control your protagonist in combats. What? You hate QTEs? Fine, just sit your ass down and watch how the protagonist controls itself in fights.
This is my opinion, Life is Strange is overrated and will forever be.
Same goes for Firewatch, apparently. You know those games have stories, not just walking through designed areas?
Yeah, but you always talk to a woman in a radio, stop people from messing around the forest, what else?
Call of Duty exists because it's an FPS, and while it doesn't do anything ground-breaking, it does it's job well. You sure you aren't just trying to get attention and popularity by screaming "CoD sucks!!!!"?
Why there are so many COD games, I mean dammit? They lack stories and all you is shot and kill enemies, what else? Multiplayers? I can name three better multiplayers.
Beyond Two Souls sucks because you "can't even die"? Is that a must for every game nowadays? To be able to die? Are you serious?
Why don't you bother compare it to Heavy Rain? I tried so many times to get Jodie killed but game never let me. Only at the end you can choose Jodie to die. I already told you, choices don't matter until you choose how you want to end the game. None of the choices affected the endings of the game, except the determinant characters and Ryan's determinant eye.
Please, tell my in detail why Life is Strange is overrated? Because there's no shooting?

I'm not even going to dig into the other "critiques", because frankly, this is ridiculous. I get that this is an opinion thread, but at least try to base your opinion on something proper rather than "this is childish", "you can't even die" or "probably", "seems to be" and such.
By the way, your comments on what is RPG really shows your understanding of gaming in general.

GTA 5 (Great gameplay but the story is boring, GTA Online is the only thing which makes it awesome)
I'm quite the opposite on this. I find the story to be better then online. That's just my opinion.
Games like that should focus more on the story. Why would they focus on the choices more? Also, who cares if you can't die in non-canon ways. It's honestly one of the most stupid things you can complain about.
But failing the QTEs don't change the story at all, dammit. You always get rescued by the plot. Didn't you see how well Heavy Rain worked?
Okay, I think I heard enough. That's seriously the point where I can't take your opinion seriously, no matter how rude I actually sound. Many of the points you mentioned are honestly ridiculous.

She acts like a person that'd act in real life. Who doesn't blame someone at least once? Sure, I agree that she was kinda selfish, but aren't we all sometimes?
Choosing to kill Chloe means the whole story was fucking pointless
Not entirely.
Choosing to destroy the town destroys Max's character so hard. Showing how a selfish bitch she could be to destroy a whole town for one girl
Wait, what? How does that destroy Max's character? Also, that doesn't make her selfish. Max cares about Chloe. Sacrificing a town for a friend that you knew since you were a child is not selfish at all.
All I cared about this game is Max's rewind power and my unsolved question is "HOW DID SHE GET THOSE POWERS?" Dontnod will never answer this question because Max's story is soo over.

I mean none of the choices in LIS affected any of their endings.
Wait, what? How does that destroy Max's character? Also, that doesn't make her selfish. Max cares about Chloe. Sacrificing a town for a friend that you knew since you were a child is not selfish at all.
Omg, you're genius. Letting a town full of innocent people go to hell, when there was a chance to save it, is not selfish at all. "Claps"

All the endings were about the relationship between Chloe and Max. They weren't anything about Rachel or Jefferson who killed and drugged teen girls.

How is it acceptable to kill everyone in the town you got to know (or already knew, including Chloe's mom and stepdad). Honestly the worst for me was the ending, how nothing you had meaning in the end, that both endings were terrible.

Because you can't give the Gameplay an honest rating if you're not playing. There's a big difference between playing a game yourself and watching someone playing it.
Nothing against you, but you really should try to play the game yourself before putting your judgement out there.

All you need to rate a game is to know what it's about, and what kind of gameplay it is.
What?! So to rate a game like (for example) Game of Thrones I just have to know that it's about Game of Thrones? So a person that is not a fan of game of Thrones and never played the game can give it a 2/10 rating and it should be held into account?
Or to rate a (for example) Mass Effect game you only have to know that the game is an Sci-Fi RPG? And if you're a fan of both Sci-Fi and RPG you can go ahead and rate the game 10/10???
So you're saying that you can rate Overwatch's (for example) gameplay without playing it? How can you know if playing tha game is enjoyable if you aren't using your brain and your body to play the game?
A good rating/review should be made by someone that has played the game and in my very opinion to give an even more candid review the reviewer should play the game one more time and think about it for at least one week. The reviwer should also try to be the least bias possible.
False.
Me and every other person that has a sense of what fundamented critic is knows that to critic and rate something, you have to at least experience it. Not only games but also books, movies, food, wine, etc...

And TT especially shines in their choices department... It's not like they're getting railed by fans on this issue wherever they release a new game. Also, the choices influenced your decision - they helped you make up your mind, whether to save Chloe or the town. If you want choices influencing endings directly, go play Bioware games.
Selfishness is subjective. Not denying that saving Chloe was a selfish choice, but it could be argued that some people don't see it that way.

CoD:Modern Warfare series had an alright story, at least I liked it.
As for good story FPS, Bioshock series is your friend.

If you don't mind me asking, why?
You're welcome!
Also, as @IRunts said, check out Metro. It's based on books, so if you like one, you're guaranteed a double pleasure!

Did you play GTA 4? IMO it had a better story than GTA 5
Some people love judging people's opinions. And the person him/herself.
