A few years ago I was just sitting in a room like normal, though the room was colder than usual (no windows/doors were open). Then I heard a ringing phone. It wasn't like any of the phones in my house, so I decided to see where it was coming from. Here's the creepy part. It was my first ever phone, with one part of battery left, ringing from "Unknown Number". Of course, I answered. It was a normal voice, speaking in what sounded like Spanish. I can still remember the voice, but the part that makes me most creeped out, is that the voice sounds like my voice now...

  • It was almost like a white mist but I clearly saw kids holding hands or walking down the tracks. It was odd because there was nothing like that when we first appeared to the tracks. It wasn't until the battery 'died'.

  • Not really a spooky event, but I had a good fear on the moment:

Let's put a bit of a context: My grandfather died four years ago. I never went to his burial for dumb reason. Few months after his death,I was awoken late, at night by a birthday card which made a crappy creepy sound, sent by my grandfather years ago. The card is supposed to make music only when you open it and closing/opening it couldn't stop the music. I was completely taken by surprise on the moment (being tired and a bit scarred to know it was his card) so I eventually smashed the card in piece.

Probably his way of letting you have closure, you did not get to go to his funeral so this may have been his way of saying goodbye and letting you know he was ok.

  • I don't recall any to me, but a friend of mine encountered an event when I was in a party with him. It's nothing really big. (Disclaimer: not every detail is 100% on point correct.)

We were playing GTA Online, just dicking around in Freemode. I had noticed his character stopped moving and some heavy, slow breathing on his end.

    "Everything alright?" I naturally asked.

"Dude... What if I told you my house was haunted." Me: OH FUCKING HELL I WAS OVER THAT HOUSE IM SO FUCKED

"If you did I wouldn't be surprised, mine probably is, too. Spirits like, attach to things" I attempted to wing a calm personality.

"Yeah but do you ever get weird things happening to you?" He was at a whispering tone, so I asked like 5 times what he was saying.

Eventually, I replied with "Well, floorboards creek and the usual 'I could have sworn I saw something' but nothing special." (Don't ask why I didn't tell you of those things, who the hell wants to be bored to death?)

"Well, my lamp just turned off on it's own."

    "Oh, maybe the lightbulb died."

"No dude, I'm gonna turn it back on." click

"Let there be light." He added.

"So maybe you blew a fuse for a second."

"Nope, Playstation would have turned off." I was puzzled. I suggested that his cat may have bumped into it since his cat is kinda a big log with fur. He told me a man named Smitty used to own this house, then he passed it on to his daughter: their landlord. He handed it over due to a will, you know. The kinds that happen when you die. He had a heart attack in his bed allegedly.

My friend also reported some noises from his kitchen, which was the room perpendicular to his living room, separated by another room in between. He called his mom, who was at work, and she excused the lamp turning off to a timer set on it (which I didn't get, why would you ever need to time a lamp?) and the noises to his paranoia. She worked nightshift, and hung up, a little irritated by it.

He told me his mic was about to die and he got off, a week afterwards was when he told me a few minutes later that the lamp turned back ON(after he switched it off), his mom informed him the timer only turned the lamp OFF. He retreated to his room with his PS4 and locked his door, in case it was a person. Nothing else happened afterwards.

  • My ex girlfriend's cousin death is rather unexplained. She left home for a trip to west coast and checked into hotel in LA. Then she has disappeared. Elevator surveillance footage showed her weird behavior; hiding, stepping in and out, pushing few buttons rapidly, weird gesticulation, talking to invisible man. During this el. door somehow remained open. Had been diagnosed with depression earlier. Anyway, few weeks later her naked corpse was discovered in water tank atop hotel. Clothes were floating alongside her. Police said it was accidental drowning. No illegal drugs were found in her system. But how did she get there? Doors and stairs that access the hotel's roof were locked. How did she climb on the tank without a ladder and how did she open heavy lid? Poor hotel guests had to drink contaminated water.

  • I just thought of another "weird/potentially paranormal" story:

Back when my sister and I lived with our dad, I would take naps everyday after school and during one of them, I had a dream that my sister's childhood best friend told us she was pregnant. When I finally woke up around six that night, I went to go tell my sister about "how weird my dream was" and when I told her about it, her face went extremely pale and she froze. Apparently, said best friend had just told her that she was pregnant over Facebook and that it was a secret.

I have some sort of talent when it comes to dreaming, I swear.

Okay guys. This is going to be a long post, but it's necessary. I'm about to tell you about something that happened during the summer about four years ago which was around the time I was gonna become a freshman in high school. This is the first time I'm speaking about it since then and it's really not something that's easy to talk about. But I think it's necessary and I think it's something some of you deserve to know. It may seem exaggerated, but I swear, everything I'm about to tell you is one hundred percent true. Okay. Here it goes:

I've always been a night owl, so I usually stay up really late watching Netflix or playing video games while eating immense amounts of junk food. This night was no different. My parents were out of town for a couple days because of their anniversary so it was just me and my older sister, we'll call her Beth, at the house. We have a finished basement and Beth's bedroom is down there. She practically lived down in the basement and subconsciously considered it her own personal apartment. I rarley go down there because it always gave me the creeps for some reason. So we didn't see too much of each other. But anyways, I spent that night binge watching a TV show that I was hooked on at the time, for at least two or three hours. At about one in the morning, Beth came upstairs and told me that she was trying to sleep and if I could please keep it down. I was a little confused because I hadn't even left the recliner in my family room and didn't even think I was making that much noise. But besides that, I just simply said, "Okay. Sorry." and Beth went back downstairs. I figured that maybe the TV was too loud, so I lowered the volume and continued watching the show.

About a half hour later, Beth came back upstairs, this time a little more irritated, and said, "I thought I told you to keep it down." I knew for a fact, that at the volume the TV was at, she couldn't of possibly heard it from all the way down in the basement. I insisted that I was being quiet and that the volume on the TV was low enough. Beth then claimed that it wasn't the volume on the TV that was keeping her awake, but that she kept hearing loud footsteps from the room above her. Above Beth's bedroom was our dining room, which I hadn't even entered all night. I insisted that I hadn't even left the family room and the "footsteps" she heard was just the house settling. Our house is old so that's not uncommon. Unfortunately, Beth didn't believe me and angrily told me to keep quiet. I let out a sarcastic and attitude filled, "Fine" before Beth went back downstairs.

About two hours passed and the entire thing with my sister had pretty much left my mind. After I finished another episode, I decided to call it a night and go to bed. As I got up from the recliner and left the family room, I still felt a little hungry, so I decided to raid my fridge for a quick snack. I opened my fridge and searched all around for something I could eat. Our kitchen is next to the dining room, so as I was frantically searching for yet another snack, I began hearing something from the dining room. It didn't sound like the house settling like I initially believed when Beth had told me. It legitmatley sounded like footsteps. I was pretty unnverved by this, but kept assuring myself that there was some rational explanation behind it. I stood there for what felt like a while until the sound suddenly stopped. Just out of the blue. It didn't fade out or anything. It stopped just like that.

Before I could really react, I heard my sister stomping up the stairs and watched her enter the kitchen. This time, she was angrier than I've ever seen her before. She was asking me what the hell was wrong with me and why I kept making so much noise. I kept insisting that it wasn't me who was making the noise in the dining room. Of course, Beth didn't believe me because I was the only other person in the house and it couldn't of possibly been anyone else. I realized at this point that there was no point in arguing with her and told her I was going to bed. Without saying anything else, Beth turned around and began heading back to the basement only to stop dead in her tracks two steps later. I was confused at first, but I looked back in her general direction and what I saw next still haunts me to this day.

On the other side of the dining room was a large figure which, despite having some light shining in on it from the kitchen, was completely black. It was about six feet tall and didn't have a definable looking outline or physical features. It almost looked like a mist. There were no eyes as far I could tell, but that still didn't stop me from having the overwhelming feeling that it was staring right at me. It was unlike anything I had ever seen before. I wish I could say that we bolted the second we saw it, but we didn't. We just stood there frozen in shock at what we were seeing. After what felt like an eternity, Beth began slowly backing up. I began doing the same. But before we could even get five steps in, the figure lunged at us with inhuman speed causing the two of us to jump back. The figure dissipated when it was about a foot from my sister's face.

Completely terrified and not wanting to stay there any longer, Beth and I sprinted out the back door of our kitchen and bolted it to our next door neighbor's house in about 10 seconds flat. We frantically rang their doorbell and banged on their door until they finally opened the door. We explained that there was something in our house and they let us in without hesitation. Once we were inside, Beth took her cell phone and dialed 911. As the operator picked up, Beth was so upset that she began crying to the point where you couldn't understand what she was saying. I was resisting the urge to cry myself, so I didn't blame her one bit. She gave me her phone and I told the operator everything that had just occurred. The operator had advised me to stay at our neighbor's house with the doors and windows locked and to stay on the line with her until the police arrived.

The police finally DID arrive about an hour later and they searched the entire house head to toe. They didn't find anything. All our doors and windows were locked and there were no signs of forced entry anywhere. There weren't any signs that there was anyone else except Beth and I in the house. Despite that, they did advise us to stay at our neighbor's house until our parents returned home from their trip, which we probably would've done whether they suggested to do so or not. We called our parents and told them everything that had happened. They were as terrified as we were, but they were relieved that neither of us were hurt. Both the police and our parents figured that the thing we saw was just a simple home intruder, but I know what I saw. That thing wasn't human.

Years have passed and I still haven't forgotten about that night. I still haven't forgotten about that black figure standing there in our dining room. It was at least a year before I even considered staying downstairs past dark. But eventually, I worked up the nerve and tried to continue with my tradition of staying up all night not being productive in the least. You're probably expecting some cheesy ending in which I still hear the footsteps in the dining room or I still see the figure or traces of the figure to this day. But no. I never saw it again. I never heard the footsteps or saw the black figure. Not even once. It just completely dissapeared and I never had another experience like that ever again.

Nobody should ever have to go through a terrifying experience like that. So the moral I think you should take from this story, is that anyone can claim that they've had a real paranormal experience and post it on the internet and claim that it's as true as grass is green. Yeah guys. None of the things in this story ever happened. I have never experienced anything paranormal in my home and hopefully never will. This entire post was just an experiment to see how gullible some people can be. If you fell for this, awesome. If you read through the whole thing, that's equally awesome. This is actually ralo229, here. I've been posting this story practically everywhere and I've been getting some pretty good results. Haha.
