I just tried that in an old thread from 2014, and did not encounter that. You are not supposed to be able to vote on your own comments, so maybe the glitch was related to that? I tried recreating that on both my comments and other user's comments and did not see that.
I noticed a new bug maybe he talks about that:
If you upvote/like an older message the count goes haywire, I had a 2014 comment with 9 likes, I clicked it and now it is -3
yes, a negative three
Is anyone else having issues with your comments and likes numbers being updated on your profile page? I posted a few things in a few forums yesterday during the update and my count is off.
I didn't do that on my own comment, and it doesn't always work like that, about every 3-5th comment I liked there did mess up numbers though
the top comment there had about 10 likes, now it is at zero due to me 'liking' it as well
I don't get what this update was really for, what reason there is that the bugs prevail and forum options are more limited than before... and I miss my forum games, they are all on hold due to the issues, and they are my main reason to visit. Was there no planned step-by-step process for updating? Did no one here learn Basic Project Management, are there no milestones set up for managing the whole update to have a smooth transfer and no loss in existing options? Why wasn't the code tested on a dummy page before going live? Testing basic forum abilities like private messaging before the change was greenlighted? Why can't it be rolled back until the problems get fixed?
To be frank, making such mistakes I would've been already fired. This might sound harsh, but I am not angry, I just listed all my concerns about the update here, and hope people responsible for it will learn from the current situation and improve.

Once the forum got changed I attempted to find all the bugs I could, posted them in a list here (except this one), I managed to find all of the known ones (once again, except this one) in half a hour.
I don't make things up, it is of no benefit to me or anyone. (well, except making stories/characters up for the forum games, but that's different)
That's odd, I actually just managed to recreate this glitch too and a thread has -1 likes.
[EDIT: Decided to remove link so it can stay as is and staff can observe it]

Something Im going to miss is the pages for games with the descriptions and Q&A's, now they all kinda look the same and arnt as nice and themed like before.
Is there any reason that I always have at least 5 notifications to read? I can't seem to locate them. But when I get a new one I find it fine, it'll add to the 5 not read though. Ex. I get 2 new notifications therefor my new count would be 7, and upon reading them it will return to 5.
That's a random error that has carried over from various iterations of this version of the forum since it launched in 2013. Telltale Staff have hinted in a previous post a while back that they might revise the feed system eventually, so hopefully that includes marking all notifications as unread or seeing previously unread notifications.
Either way, it's not related to this forum update in particular.

Yup. Nothing has been updating for me. I still have 16 discussions started (to be expected, I haven't made any new discussions yet..), 929 comments posted, and 1384 likes... Those stats are at a standstill.

Anybody else, experiencing the same as me? just right now, i opened my browser (PC) and look at telltale's website, it looks simple with white background.
Did they change it? or is something wrong with my browser?
If not, how do i fix it, please help, i like the older one.
If they did change it, Do you like how it looks now?

It goes to the correct post for me but i have had that bug on random old comments even before the forum update so there could be another thing causing it.
for some reason my second link to a comment here doesn't seem to work properly
https://telltale.com/community/discussion/comment/2545708#Comment_2545708
it doesn't scroll to the correct location
have to say merging threads starts to be a be annoying, especially in cases like mine above where I noticed a bug in a thread that now doesn't exist anymore

At the top of my "Followed Discussions" to the right is some discussion that hasn't had any activity since 2014 (except maybe some spam that got deleted). I tried pressing the "Unfollow Discussion" button to get rid of it, but when I do, it goes to an error page that says, "Error 403 - You need the Javascript permission to do that."

And another error 403. When I click on a discussion that has been merged, it says "Error 403 - You don't have permission to do that." It should just take me to the discussion it merged into.

I just liked your comment and one like was added to your profile. Seems to be working for me.

Don't worry, I was not accusing you of faking it. I was just saying that I was initially unable to recreate the glitch but that I later had.

Whoa! This site looks so weird the first time I visited it! And I think I can post too! Pretty cool!
THIS!!!!!!
Not getting notifications is the only reason which makes me leave this community.
R.I.P. notifications ;-;
Not liking the new lay out . Too white

They'll fix it soon enough
I hate what it looks like on PC, the fact I don't get notifications.
But one thing is that it works a lot better on mobile now
As every day passes, the white layout still feels like a flashbang in my eyes.
oh boi
R.I.P Titles of vids and watching youtube videos from the forum ;_; my heart can't take it.
Be strong Wolf. In time the brightness will fade as it gives us cataracts and we won't be able to see it anymore.

They decided to revamp the whole site.
I suppose that's true. Oh well, at least my eyes can stand the white layout, but barely.
Also...
AKA "Telltale soon".
You might want to check THIS THREAD out.
How soon exactly?
They made some changes, a few other sites have been doing this too.
and my contribution of it as well

You at least get notifications.
I don't get any, neither does my feed update
Such as...?

Yep, same. Followed a thread by accident and now I'm stuck with it.
