I am so SICK of this fatalistic attitude. Take it from someone who 100% did not want Trump to win at all: the world is not going to end with this election. There are always going to be idiots out there and they are particularly visible right now because it is the reactionary period of extreme emotions. Don't expect these people to be like this for a full four years, for the most part they will go back to their lives as normal.
I hate trump but I can tell you this right now: He's not Hitler. There's no frickin way America will let it ever get that bad. Our system of government is designed to never let it get that bad.

The only thing I would ever be worried about would be a violent reaction from a foreign country or terrorist group. With Hillary getting the popular vote, it's obvious that this extreme attitude will not be tolerated by most Americans in the long-run. If Trump wanted the approval of the American public, he'd become more moderate, which seems to be exactly what he is doing after he said he'll try to protect the LGBT community (not that I'm one to believe everything he says, but it's something).

I'm sorry to do not agree with you but it's not because he didn't directly send them to do hate speech that he has no part in it. Words do have fucking consequences. That's crazy, but it's true. So when you do hate speech, even if you don't believe in it but you do it still to try to grab their votes, there are consequences. It doesn't require to be yet in power for these consequences to exist; the only fact to know he's elected make these people act.
That's what we usually see in human history: with people getting pissed over and over, they unleash hate on a minority, thinking they're the cause of their misfortune. Witch Hunt back in the old times. Now we can see human evolved, since now it's hunt based on your skin or your sexuality. What a progress!
And if you ever study penal law, you'll know a thing: there's almost always a speech about committing the act before the criminal actually does it. ..And here it's a fairly huge amount of threats made. I'm sorry to be that of an asshole but you've got to be either blind, dumb, or supporting them to not see this.

I acknowledge that there are multiple factors that can make idiots vocal, throughout all aspects of life. Trump's candidacy happens to be a massified one and the most relevant today.
However, it's heavily unlikely that he turned people into idiots; his role appears to have been to radicalize everybody's opinions—conservatives, liberals, discriminatory idiots and social justice warriors.
