So, I'm so excited about this game. Oh Mah Gawd. It's time for more Mass Effect, and best of all, more space exploration.
But, I'm also s… moreuper excited about the romance options! What are you gals and guys hoping for with the romance options?
Me personally, I'm hoping for another male Turian, and finally a female Turian for either Sara or Scott.
I'm hoping for a male Krogan romance option.
I'm also hoping for a male Quarian and a unmasking of said Quarian (either gender face reveal would be awesome!)
And more than one Asari romance option.
Honestly I'm excited too. Here are my male Shepherd decisions
ME1-I went with Ashley as she seemed genuine and caring. My Shepherd was her best friend and that led to forbidden romance.
ME2. I tried to win Ashley back, yet she called me a traitor. That crushed my Shepherd and Miranda was there to hug me. I got to know her and trusted her. She became my new love.
ME3. Miranda turned out to be a spy, in my storyline, and I felt betrayed. I had gotten back with the Alliance and told her to leave me alone. She said that she was hired to get close to me, yet really did. I told her that it's over. Ashley wanted to come back on my ship, she still didn't trust me and my judgment. I told her that a soldier cannot head into battle if they question their superiors. After all of this Shepherd feels sad that he is flawed in relationships. Liara comes back on the ship, while at first he was hesitant about alien love he embraces it as he gets to know Liara more than ever before. They are best friends in time that begin a romance. She becomes pregnant after Shepherd destroys the reapers and he hopes to get back to his friends after the relays are fixed again. Liara will give birth to a strong child that will live 1,000 years. My best friend, Garrus, got Tali in the end, I'm happy about that.

I've said this a million times and apparently i'll say it a million more. Calling Ashley a racist has to be one of the biggest over exaggerations out there.
Alright. I'll bite into this. My canon.
ME: Gladly let Ashley die. My Shepard has no time for space-racists. No romance.
ME2: ♥ Tali. Kaiden pouts.
ME3: ♥ Tali. Kaiden came out and hit on me. Sorry bud, just friends. Survived.
It's fun though.
In all seriousness, I didn't like her character at all. Even listening to her whole backstory. I didn't sympathize with her one bit.
The whole bro-chick thing didn't win me over. While I understand the "My dad chose family over death, so I have to honor the family name now" ideal, it's not me.
I've said this a million times and apparently i'll say it a million more. Calling Ashley a racist has to be one of the biggest over exaggerations out there.
Isn't that the perfect arc for her character? To die in battle.
Edit: Honestly, they're both bad characters. Her one racist comment made the decision-bad. They're both so bland and dull. I have played through the series keeping both alive and I really don't care people chose one over the other. Kaiden does have a bit more of a story than Ashley with the whole sexuality thing, but that's about it. I wish Bioware made the choice harder. I remember sitting there paused the first time, thinking "okay, which one do I want to keep" instead of "which one do I let go". They're so boring.
Anybody whom has romanced either of them, please tell me. What redeems them? What story do they have to offer? I've listened to every piece of their dialogues except the romance dialogue. So what, if anything, is within that which gives them fleshed out character?

No it's not, especially when it has been said a million times over. And that "racist" comment she makes, is true, they do look like animals.
Regarding fleshed out characters. I can say the same thing about Tali. She has a creepy puppy love vibe about her. Then there is the hole geth thing. Which is predictable as hell. She goes from hating them ( i have no problem with that she hates them) but she sure as hell has a hard time to admit her people's responsibility in it. They built them after all. And in end of the trilogy she obviously has found some respect for them.
Kaiden has a bit more of a story than Ashley with the whole sexuality thing.
Bioware decided that Kaiden suddenly likes to take it up the ass. And that makes him more interesting ? I had 1 save file with him alive, and i wondered why the hell he was hitting on my Shepard.
In the end it's about what character you prefer, i liked Ashley and Miranda because they shared somewhat similar beliefs with my Shepard.
Isn't that the perfect arc for her character? To die in battle.

I'd love some good hand to hand combat in Andromeda as that to me was something that was missing from the trilogy. If not then more melee options would be great.
She really wasn't a racist though. The alien wars had happened within the last few decades and she was raised not to trust aliens. Shepherd takes the risky move of allowing aliens on a top secret human ship, which was a gamble. However she risks her life for aliens as the series goes on and changes. I played my Shepard like Captain Picard were he took the risky move of allowing Klingon Worf on his ship. His motto was to give everyone a chance to change. Ashkey never outright hated aliens though and by the third game, she changed. I saved her to give her a chance to change. I have heard stories about Kaiden and I'm glad that he died before he went the bad writing route.

Nothing you did in the first trilogy really matters in Andromeda since the Andromeda crew launched before the climax of the original story but my major decisions:
Saved and romanced Ashley, stayed faithful and reunited with her in the 3rd
Killed Wrex on Virmire
Saved the council
Recruited everyone for the suicide mission
Everyone survived the suicide mission and decided to blow up the collector base
Didn't cure the Genophage (Mordin lives)
United the Geth and Quarians
Destroyed the Reapers (Shepard lives)
I'm very excited. Mass Effect was an incredible series that moved me. I love how the Shepherd story arc is done now and they are moving towards the Star Trek Next Generation route. Shepherd is basically like Kirk and his stories were perfect (let's pretend his bogus death under a bridge never happened lol) and now hundreds of years later, Ryder will take the reigns of a Picard title.
I'm disappointed by the gameplay. The combat looked way too inspired by Overwatch to me, which I hate, and the facial animations are weird and stiff. I also really dislike their decision to constantly show off their game while talking over it - I really don't need or want to hear your completely blown out of proportion advertisement, I just want to enjoy the actual gameplay. It was also bad that they skipped 90% of the "story" section and went over to show off their - in my opinion weak looking - combat for the rest of the gameplay. I'm not as hyped as I thought or hoped to be, and for the first time in this wait I'm not even sure I'm going to get the game. Sadly, it does remind me of Dragon Age Inquisition in space, and I don't need that in my life.

My Canon
* Romanced Kaiden
* Saved Rex
* Saved Rachni Queen
* Went the Extra Mile for all my compardres
* Mourned for Ash
* Saved … morethe Council
* Romanced Nobody.heart was crushed by Kaiden the asshole
* Destroyed the research..nobody uses humans as test subjects
* Destroyed the Collector Base
* Betrayed the Krogan
* Told Kaiden to get off my ship..
* Liara and I
* Saved Miranda
* Shot Mordin...felt a little guilty
* Assembled the Largest fleet in History
* Destroyed the Reapers..lived at the end...think I will retire.
Cannot wait to see the new game in person.
Eh, I got Inquisition vibe from this, which means super big areas with a lot of enemies and filler quests that I was not really a fan of. Hopefully at least the story will be good.
I enjoyed Inquisition and am really looking forward to this game. There was nothing in Inquisition which stopped you from B-lining it through the story. I like filler if it doesn't take away from the narrative. Bioware has yet to do that. I've felt each game was a decent length before doing the busy work. I'd rather have filler than a developer pull a Hobbit and stretch the story out more than it needs to be.
We'll see though. Hard to say anything before actually playing the game.
Killed Rachini Queen as the Rachini are basically huge ants that can be a huge danger and they have hurt Krogan for ages.
I was a fair captain
I saved the Council, they are necessary and I won brownie points with them.
In second game I romanced Miranda as I was hurt by Ashley and getting lonely as time went on.
I saved the genophage research and spared the doctor. I trusted Mordin on his judgement that his ex student was just mislead and was not evil. I figured that the humans that were killed shouldn't die in vain. The research can help the Krogan still. The researcher became a good guy later on as I found out.
I saved the base to use it against the reapers. We would be the first civilization to ever use Reaper tech against them. Yes the human experiments were awful, yet a weapon is just that a weapon. It is how it's used that defines it. The base was evil and now we can change it into something good. Destroying it would solve nothing and potentially hurt our chances in defeating the Reapers.
Mordin helped me cure the Krogan and he gave his life to do so. I cried.
I told Ashley to get off my ship as I was tired of her and a soldier that doesn't trust their leader is a liability.
I was lonely and hesitant about alien love, yet I realized that Liara was always there for me. I romanced her and she loved it as I was a hero to Asari.
Thane and Miranda were killed by the assassin. I agreed with Thane that he was only wounded due to his cancer like illness and even then he was victorious in the battle. I held his hand and told him that I loved him like a brother and that I'd always miss him. When I found out that Miranda was a spy and never loved me at first, then she did love me, I told her to leave me alone.
I assembled the Largest fleet in History. I couldn't unite Geth and Quarian though as I helped Legion by killing the heretics and respected Talia's decision on taking the blame for her father. In the end I chose the Quarian as they had suffered enough and they were organic life, not Ai. Basically the Quarian can always rebuild Geth, Geth cannot rebuild Quarian. I told Legion as he lay, dying that I was proud of him and he did have a soul, yet I must choose organics over Ai. I recognized his people's struggles, and yet I couldn't ever understand them. I'm just a flawed organic. He blinked and said that it was an honor to serve under me and he wished me a good life.
I destroyed the reapers. I told the Ai that it is impossible to decide the fates of entire civilizations based on what they might do. I avenged the deaths of countless civilizations. The Ai respected me and teleported me to Earth as a sign of respect as the place was exploding. It told me that I was willing to sacrafice myself and why ? I told him that to organics, every person is important. The individual is gifted. It was intrigued and said that I deserved to live. I'm waiting for the relays to be repaired as I wait for my crew to return. Liara is pregnant and she thinks that I'm dead along with the rest of my crew. She will give birth to a Justicar, my daughter, that will live for 1,000 years bringing justice as her parents once did.
Almost same for me, only difference is that i saved the Rachni Queen, i destroyed the geth heretics, i didn't let Diana on my ship and i picked the destroy ending. Glad to see another Ashley romancer

Oh my god, the voice acctress of Peebe is Jane from the Walking Dead!!
I go from killing her in The Walking Dead to possibly romancing her in Mass Effect.
Is anyone excited for the new multiplayer? I signed up for the beta a couple weeks ago and it was like applying for a job.
I can't wait.
I hope they improve the facial animations.
Why? they are damn fine, DAMN FINE (Of course I am kidding)

Maybe the problem is that it's too good. Some people just have terrible expressions. My former boss had the most awkward smile I've ever seen.
