Santa Baby- Eartha Kitt. This song is covered by many and I hate that. Taylor Swift ? Really ? Anyway, moody and beautiful song.
Blue Christmas-Elvis. A really beautiful song that moves me.
My favorite is Last Christmas- Wham. I first heard it at work a few weeks ago. This is another song that is covered by many bad artists. The original by Wham is incredible.

These songs are a tradition in my family. After Christmas dinner I listen to Tom Waits and Peter Murphy. I'll post them again 24th in "what are you listening right now" thread.

Pretty much anything Mannheim Steamroller. Their live show is outstanding.
Ironically, as an atheist, I tend to prefer the More religious Christmas songs.
O Holy Night is probably one of my favorites. it's beautifully poetic, doesn't overstay it's welcome and has the right mix of understated and dramatic parts. The Nat King Cole version brings a tear to my eye at least once per Holiday season.

My mom, whose almost a bigger fan of my generation of music(90s) than hers(70s) really likes that Trans Siberian Orchestra for her Christmas fix.
O Holy Night is my favorite, but Angels We Have Heard on High will always have special place in my heart (lots of good memories of Christmas time with that song).
I'm not religious either, but prefer the old religious carols. The secular carols tend to be either too schmaltzy, too modern, or geared towards little kids.
Of the ones not mentioned yet, I've always liked O Come O Come Emmanuel.
Nobody likes "All I Want For Christmas Is You" anymore? It's catchy, touching and Carey didn't look like Miss Piggy back then.
