The last two tweets from Telltale's community manager @carolineliddick are...very concerning:

This is beyond unacceptable. I know she's just one person and not the whole team, but "I didn't know it was still a problem" is disgraceful coming from what's supposed to be a professional developer like Telltale.

Pretty concerning considering Telltale fucked up so badly twice in a row now, the situation is almost exactly as it was for episode 4.
You'd think they would have made sure it wouldnt happen again, but...

They didn't inform their community manager, which in itself is bad. I refuse to believe they're incompetent to the point of not knowing as a whole that the steam release hasn't happened. Both are gigantic missteps, but one at least makes them look less terrible.
She posted it at 7:28, too. On a Tuesday. If there's really anything stopping her from looking into it now, that's absurd. I could understand if it was a bug or something, but I paid for this episode today, and waiting for it has set back my studying for finals by a few hours at this point.
It's pretty shitty to see Telltale's community manager act so casually about inconveniencing so many people.

It's not that they didn't inform me - it's that I was working on a Twitch stream for the last four hours of the day. People personally tweeted me to ask about delays, and that is what I told them on my own personal handle.

Which we definitely appreciate you doing, very much so.
But I hope you understand from our perspective how frustrating it is that your post, right here, is the closest thing to an official response to this issue that we've received all day. It's not the lack of delivery that's really killing us. It's how difficult it is to get any word from you guys at all. Your company spending the day on official media streaming previous games and telling us to buy upcoming ones while going radio silent about the problem didn't help either.
It is 7:28pm on a Tuesday. I am at home.
Just to break it down for you, I have been on emails about this throughout the day and am still on emails about this.
But I will check in person when I am back in the office.
Which is... tomorrow.
I know. I'm a gamer too and I've dealt with delays (from other companies and from Telltale itself - seeing as how I just started working here in October) as a fan.
I'm sorry that there has not been a public response, but please know that I'm working on getting one, and also many other things, for you guys. It really does mean a lot to me - otherwise I wouldn't be responding on my own handle or checking the forums after I get home from work!

There's nobody you can call about this, and there's nobody else that can tell us what's happening? That's not suprising, but it's incredibly disappointing. Whenever something goes wrong with this company, all the community gets is radio silence. I'm glad that you've at least told us that you don't know what's happening, as it's a step up from complete unresponsiveness, but this is consistently unprofessional behavior from the entirety of your company that I've become completely sick of over the years.
It's like going to an expensive restaurant, ordering dinner, and then the entire restaurant staff enters a catatonic state and can't tell you what happened to your spaghetti for the next dozen hours or so.

Well this is the second time Telltale screwed over Steam users... not to mention 2 episodes in a goddamn row. You have got to be kidding me. The worst part is that the company doesn't speak out about this with an exception of the community media manager.
I mean... it's not news to anyone at Telltale that it's not currently on Steam. It is being worked on by everyone who could possibly work on it (which doesn't include me, I just hang out here on the forums and do Twitch streams, write social copy for partners, make gifs, etc. etc. etc.).
We are working on getting Support social handles up and running so that there will be people who do this stuff to talk to on Twitter etc., and I do think it will help with this and maybe ease some of your pain points here. (But also let me know if that's something you don't think will be helpful.)

If it's being worked on by everyone who can work on it, why can't they announce that? Reading that made me feel a little bit better, and if people felt like Telltale wanted to share that, and show that they actually wanted to get the game out to PC players, I bet more people would be less bummed...

Fair enough. I wish telltale would answer more on their official side, they're a big enough company where I think that might be expected. I get your side of things and everything, it's just unfortunate when this thing happens twice in a row and there's just such little response in return for fans that look forward to their games

Since it's about the game release and not your typical "here's a video/gif/picture", it has to go through not only a few people but a few departments to make sure we have the all-clear, and accurate time frames for things.
I know people would be less bummed. That's why I want to get the message out to you guys.

Yeah... things are a little wonky now with Batman and TWD releasing so close together. There's three people who tweet/post on social, and one of them is in London on a press tour, another is on vacation, and I'm basically out for four working hours a day through Sunday. Bear with us.
I'm taking steps to ensure this doesn't happen in the future.

Be happy, i can't even Finnish the damn game as it breaks down into unplayable 2 saves i played through hoping one would let me see the end but tis is my luck. Hope ya dont get that bummer problem.

It's a bit worrying when this happens twice in a row to the pc release. Definitely not a good precedent that's happening
I am so glad that I am currently enjoying Episode 5 of Batman: The Telltale Series - City of Light on steam! Wait... no Im not.
Same here man... Same here.
So it would appear that Telltale apparently "didnt know" about the steam issues and wont even be trying to get it working until tomorrow.

Looks like we're definitely getting the episode tomorrow at this rate.
The best part is that they're evidently in no rush to take care of it for us. And why would they? They already have your money.
Strange how they didn't know, but alright. Well... Shit. Tomorrow, pal. Time to dodge spoilers for another (i don't wanna count in my head) hours!

I'm always check on play store, hope there is new update for Batman :-(:-(
Its not just the steam version, on the telltale pc version it still says 5 is not available.
Thread: I think it's out!
I think it's out for PC! I just got an update on Steam that's taking around the time it would for a normal ep. Can anyone else confirm???
It's finally on Steam
Yep it's on Steam now.
YES! Finally
Finally....I am going to get some sleep...play in the morning.
Its on Steam. 5 hours earlier than episode 4. Could of been worse.
just woke up here in Finland and checked out the game. FINALLY downloading the final episode! It was 6.45€ (I have no season pass)...
Any news on how long we are going to have to wait for it on mobile?
The Telltale Store version still isn't available...
Whole last 20 mins is 110% Broken nothing but brown waves and disappearing characters and then black.
Same with the GOG version to my knowledge.
