Nearly th… moree entire cast of the films had well lack luster careers because they were such iconic characters that no film director wanted to use them for anything. If it wasn't for Lucas and Steven Spielberg making Harrison Ford a house hold name with not just Star Wars but Indiana Jones he likely be in the same boat.
No offense was taken, tis but a humble correction of the plausibility of the decease's likely feelings toward the phrase. Just saying, she has openly denounced Star Wars as a curse on her life, sometimes jokingly, other times more serious. I'm almost never offended by anything. People often use that word too much in my opinion.

I've been heartbroken throughout the entire day because of this. I am so sad that this has happened. Why Carrie? Why now? She seemed fine yesterday....
As of now, there are 4 days until 2017.... NO ONE MUST DIE.
(In my experience) after a major heart attack the patient will be put into a induced coma the doctors will tell you they are stable because the heart is beating at a regular pace, the meds make it hard to assess damage so they have to wait a few days before a brain scan then (if its bad news) the next of kin get the big question.its a long tiring process and my thoughts are with the family

There's no way they can recast a character as iconic as Leia. Either she'll be killed off or retired in VIII or they'll be a reason for her absence in IX.
