What is wrong with kids these days?

Girls have a high emphasise on being skinny and attractive. (Thanks to internet and cartoons, duh)

Like really. I wouldn't be surprised 100 years later, we all reach puberty at 5 years old.

  • Boys are still ok.

  • Tell me about it all girls and and sometimes boys are desperate for a relationship which ends within 2 hours other ones are like I hope I slip on ice and die and would cry when something life threatening really happens kids are weird these days.

  • It's called society.

  • What the fuck is this thread.

  • I don't understand this thread. Maybe you can expand?

Why did you start this thread?

  • This thread is just completely ridiculous, can a moderator please close it?

    1. Boys and Girls naturally are skinny. It's only modern times which children have access to enough food to be fat... same kind of goes for young adults.
    2. Young Adults women/men have the luxury to be fat now days. But this concept of being skinny/attractive has existed for over a century, it isn't a "NEW" thing. Young flapper girls during the roaring twenties didn't take tapeworm eggs for no reason. All those fancy dresses, corsets and the whole nine yards for the greater part of 300 hundred years, were not for no reason either.
  • Social media happened.

  • Replace 'social media' with 'rock music' and you have what they said a couple generations ago.

It all just repeats, it's just a natural thing of being weirded out that things don't stay the same perenially.

  • They definitely have more materially, but I don't see why that's necessarily a bad thing (or even usually a bad thing).

  • In general, I would say the problem lies in not enough of old school values being taught in the home, as well as a serious lack of parental discipline. (I'm talking about spanking a kid when they deliberately act out.)

  • Becoming too dependent on the technological wonders of now.

There's a great wide world out there; why not go out and see it?

  • Man... What's wrong with people these days?!?
    Humans are still okay tho

  • Chocolate? Did you say...chocolate?

I remember when Chocolate was invented and I hated it then as much as I hate it now.

  • Mostly their parents, IMO.

  • It's not the girls fault for the social expectation on them to be skinny and attractive. Peer pressure and the media are constantly enforcing the idea that a girls worth as a human being is only measured by her beauty. Any girl that society portrays as falling short of the ideal female look is more than likely going to get ridiculed and bullied.

  • Heh, boys are still assholes :3 I mean, we are the ones who act weird as shit by sending all sorts of fuck shit to our friends and maybe our parents on Instagram, maybe not the parents thing but who knows? But the one thing I did know is that this generation is F-U-C-K-E-D!

    Boys are still ok.

  • I'm 15 and I can never agree with people my own age, as practically hate them :3 I've always gotten along better with grown-ups. Females my age aren't so bad, as long as they aren't glooed to their phones taking selfies of themselves looking anaraxic as fuck.

  • Maybe there should be a news story to tell all girls to stop losing weight and to stop taking selfies of themselves looking anarexic as shit because that turns me off big time. Who tf would wanna be that skinny?

You mean like this? (Not for the faint of heart)

to stop taking selfies of themselves looking anorexic as shit because that turns me off big time.

I'm sorry to hear that a very serious mental health issue turns you off "big time"

Who tf would want to be that skinny?

Yeah, its almost like there's a social expectation on girls to be skinny and attractive, who would've thought right?

  • I didn't mean to make that skinny thing sound like... That. I meant to say that if they are looking skinny as all living shit and it isn't a mental health problem, then maybe they need some counselling.

  • Most of the kids at my school are shallow smart-assed pricks who don't give a shit about anything.

  • I understand what you mean, but more often than not its because of anorexia and not a lifestyle choice. The media puts way too much unrealistic expectations on how girls are suppose to look, and naturally it causes a lot girls to become self conscious.

  • Totally, because controlling kids through fear is the right way to go.
