TOMI Pre-order Question

I did a pre-order for the Tales of Monkey Island, which was several months ago now, and I have yet to receive an e-mail or any information about how, or when I will get my "limited edition slip-case" and the game DvD. What's the deal with all of this? How do I go about getting it? I sure hope I didn't miss the boat on this one!

Also, gosh, I feel silly for asking this, but I don't follow the forums at all. I tried finding some answers among all the threads, but eventually broke down and decided to make a new one hoping that I'd get some answers. Sorry to anyone who may have had to answer this dozens of times already.

I'm wondering about the new deluxe edition and how it would affect a preorder. If I upgrade to the deluxe edition along with an order of The Devil's Playground and a Telltale Heart wristband ($54.90), would that effectively remove the not-yet-applied shipping cost on my ToMI preorder?

You haven't actually ordered the DVD yet, preordering the game only allowed you to order the DVD for free, which you can now do. Choosing either the free one or the deluxe version for 15 bucks will add it to your order, and if it's over 50 dollars it will get free shipping.

Hmmm, I was under the impression that the DVD thing was effectively automatic when I placed my order. Of course, I bought Sam and Max Season 2 + DVD at the same time, so that might have led to my confusion. Jake (or someone else official), could you chime in and set me straight?

    avistew's only partly correct.

If you pre-ordered ToMI last year, you got a) downloadable version of the games b) the opportunity to get the DVD for free (plus shipping) and c) an exclusive Steve Purcell slipcover.

If you didn't pre-order, but just bought the series after it was released, you just get a) and b).

NOW - the DVD is available (well, it will be soon).

So you can do step b) if you purchased things by either of the above method.

Or, you can pay $14.95 for the Deluxe edition, which gets you the Steve Purcell slipcover *even if you didn't preorder the season* plus some collectable goodies.

    It's pretty awesome.

$34.95 (Sam and Max S3) + $14.95 (ToMI Deluxe DVD) + $0.00 (W&G DVD) which is only 10c short of the $50 free shipping order... so I had to find one more thing to buy. Managed to convince a friend to get a Max & Crossbones T-shirt so we can both enjoy the free shipping :)

You should be able to have free shipping already. Give it a try.
