I didn't say you hate the game? I personally don't think they look appealing either, but I don't have plans on romancing either of them anyway. Plus, not to sound like a broken record, but it's personality that matters.
No, no. On this other forum I used to be a part of there was a Mass Effect thread that pretty much turned into the Andromeda hate thread. And of course there are all the critics in Youtube comments also.

They all pick apart every little thing and it's seriously frustrating. A lot of it apparently has to do with how Bioware's most recent games "haven't been good" so they automatically assume Andromeda is going to suck.
They're wrong about Bioware's recent games not being good. DA: I is my least favorite from them and yet . . . There were still moments that made me stare at the screen and go Oh, shit. That's cool!

Suit yourself then, because she is ugly as hell, like it or not, and pretending to be a pro-liberal 2017 guy doesn't make her pretty
Wh… morey Witcher 3 can have girls like that
But we get monsters in Bioware games? oh... of course... Bioware trying to get the outcast like ugly women, gays, trans, etc to get more money, very clever.
GOD, I AM SO FUCKING ANGRY
I have waited months to see Liam and Cora face, and what we get?
We get Liam with retard eyes and common black … moreguy affro
And Cora, oh my dear Cora, FAT AS FUCK, man jaw, weird eyes and feminazi hairstyle
.
SJW are making me want to kill myself, I need a rope, a roof, a bullet and a gun, and a goat.
The archives in the cultural sector house the combined history of the many milky way species and will assist new races encountered in learning about our galaxy and its past
Yeah basically
"New players can read this stuff so they can catch up"
Dont get me wrong im so glad, the last thing I want is someone explaining to me what a quarian is.
Shudder....there pixels mate, I dont see why its so important to you. How they look doesnt matter to me, I care about there character not there look. I expect them to look well in terms of model however physically i dont care
So excited. By the looks of it we may choose our "career" as part of character creation. : scientist, explorer, security. Also happy that they are not going to spend several hours retelling us about the mikly way races and will just expect us to know most major stuff

If one of the lead designers is like this, there's bound to be more. Also, he can probably hide some racist shit in the game but cover it up by making it about aliens or something.
I really wanna buy this, but I don't like the look of the party members, especially the romanceable human female. Character design in bioware's games lately has been going down the gutter.
There's racists everywhere. The supermarket, hairdressers etc. That's doesn't mean all people working at those places are racists. There are a lot of cool people at Bioware and I have a lot of respect for them. One dickhead isn't going to change that for me.

The woman who cried about her being "virtually raped" in GTA 5 or something is working on the game too. Bioware is also notorious for injecting their political agenda into their games as of late.

I can't really understand the vocal hate about the characters' looks, imo they look fine. Sure they aren't 10/10 like in most video games out there, but they sure ain't ugly either (except if you have sky high standard), in fact it makes them more realistic and therefore interesting to me. I don't see what the fuss is all about with Cora's haircut too, apparently short hair = feminazi/SJW haircut now? That's pretty silly, especially in the Andromeda context. You're not going to have unpractical flowing long hair when on an expedition on uncharted and potentially dangerous territory.
What's interesting about this attitude is that two of the most romanced characters in the trilogy, eg Tali and Garrus, weren't exactly top models at the start. Tali turned out to be pretty but players have had their eyes on her even when they knew nothing about what was under that helmet and Garrus, well, has nothing even remotely human about him. Yet people romanced them, thanks to their personalities.
Anyways, I'm very excited about the game and looking forward to meeting the characters, especially Drak.
I'm kinda hyped for the game, since Mass Effect is one of my most fave franchises ever, but I'm probably not buying it. I don't respect deve… morelopers who shove their political agendas into everything. Not talking about dragon age inquisition, but some of the devs behavior on twitter is absolutely appalling and I don't want to buy a game from people who act like that. If they can keep their political shit out of their game, then I'd be willing to buy it.
Hang on, so it's not even that you dislike them putting politics in the game, it's because some developers have different politics to you?
Wow. I really do feel sorry for you if someone having a different opinion makes you unable to play their creation. I would have thought you weren't one of the people who refuses to buy a game because they got 'offended' by a couple of twitter posts, I thought you were better than that.
I'm sorry, but if a lead producer for a game you like posted a picture of him drinking from a white tears mug wouldn't you be worried about … morethe game?
Hell, look at this.
http://archive.is/0EELi
He's using Mass Effect to get people to vote for Hillary. If he does that, what makes you think this shit won't be in the game?
I agree, but I see a lot of hypocrisy around this issue generally.
People often get so angry at feminists boycotting things because they're written by people they don't like. This is the same. People getting offended over a couple of twitter posts and using it as a reason not to buy their unrelated game.
If you want to act like that, that's fine. As long as you then don't go on to blame other people for doing the same thing regarding political opinions you happen to agree with.
Talk about creating safe spaces for yourself! Refusing to play a video game just because you don't like the political opinions of some of the developers is sad in my opinion.
You won't buy the game because you don't like one of the many developers' political perspectives? That's like hating a celebrity for what one of their fans say...
I agree. It's like everyone wants characters to look like Miranda. Don't get me wrong I like Miranda and her look works for her. I mean I was pretty irritated by the sudden change in appearance from Ashley in ME3. She had to be "sexy" for whatever reason.

Or because Bioware is realistic?
Why should women who go into battle and fight be immensely primped and manicured?
In fact why are women in the Witcher games so caked in makeup in the setting?
You may say that making 'ugly' (I think pretty much all of bioware's female characters are beautiful) women is pandering to non-straight people - but why are you sure sure that creating unbelievably stunning female characters to romance isn't pandering to straight people?
Suit yourself then, because she is ugly as hell, like it or not, and pretending to be a pro-liberal 2017 guy doesn't make her pretty

You've expressed several times that you don't want to buy this because you're offended by the opinions of some members of the dev team? I doubt how the party members look is affecting you that much unless you actually were considering buying it :P

The most beautiful feature about Tali, is her personality. I personally found that more attracting than the looks.
It feels weird that people are so vocal about Cora's look. She looks fine to me. I think people should get to know her first before making a judgement.

It's just a continuation of the modern trend of getting offended by everything and seeing everything as a personal attack.
They see a woman they aren't attracted to in a video game, they say 'Bioware clearly hates straight men'. It's kind of sad, that attitude will block them from experiencing some great characters.

Agreed, Tali and Garrus' personalities were among the best I have ever seen in a video game. People should try to stop judging characters we barely know anything about based on their looks and wait for Bioware to do what they do best, make players invested in their characters.

Well SHUCKS thanks!
Oh I thought you were talking about me about the minority vocal.

This isn't a dating simulator. They look fine.
"I personally don't find this character attractive. Clearly this is SJW propaganda." Lol. These forums never fail to amuse me.
Yeah. I've heard something about that.
I'm not gonna pretend that this guy isn't an asshole, but I'm not gonna give Mass Effect a pass because one asshole is working at Bioware.

I hope so! I love choosing the career/backstory.
Wow....Just wow.
I'm sure he's out of the job by now.
No, he's still there. His last tweet was about ME: A from three days ago.
Well, I sure missed something there.
Good thing I'm partial to monsters.
I'm screwed up like that.
Nope

I am not interested in Andromeda it doesn't feel like Mass Effect to me but I probably buy it on sale

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Video games are art, and art is inherently political.

Quarians might not be in the game
Where's no skin is fine? xD
She's so fucking great.
ME3:
Tali: 'Ugh, vents, always the vents..'
Shepard: 'You managed fine in the collector base..?'
Tali: '..........I WAS SET ON FIRE?!?!?'
I swear all default male protagonists these days look the same?
It's fine but there's not much creativity. It's just 'slap brown hair and stubble on someone and call it a day'.
