Am I the only one tired of their new main menu screens?

Yes, I know that it's not a huge deal but I just feel like their new main menu screens are kind of getting bland now. Like Walking Dead: A New Frontier and Batman's main menu screens look exactly the same other than a few different backgrounds. I want them to change it up a bit. Like Game of Thrones did.

  • They're trying to go for a TV show feel, like Netflix and the XBOXDONE.

  • I think TWD's is alright, actually

Even if it's the same as Batman's, the changing backgrounds and that low, rumbly, ominous-sounding track that plays definitely make it feel like TWD

  • Am I the only one tired with nitpicking every minor thing?

  • Really? Is this what we are complaining about now, what's next complaining about the subtitles being too bland.

Actually, regarding the subtitles, there is one thing I wish they'd change; how they can only have one character's subtitles at a time. Like, if two characters are talking over one another, they only show the subtitles of one of the characters.

I wish they'd make it so you could have multiple subtitles at once, instead of having them get cut off if another character starts talking before the other finishes.

Really? Is this what we are complaining about now, what's next complaining about the subtitles being too bland.

  • As a wise man once said: "Tell me about it. This whole damn thing's a pain in the ass."

Am I the only one tired with nitpicking every minor thing?

  • I kind of rather them stick to the ones like Minecraft story mode which was a pretty cool small animation but I don't really mind.

  • Yeah well that same man also said that I looked like an orange. :p

  • Like it when they get creative, like TFTB, TWD S2, and GOT. These new menus are a bore and low effort, but it's likely they'll stick with this. Not to mention the functions that these new menus have some don't work properly. Rewind function has been gutted, restart episode is both a button prompt and under extra settings (why is this here?), and when restarting the episode it glitches and doesn't carry your previous choices from past episodes into the restarted episode.

  • Every time I joke about a complaint someone always has to support that joke complaint. Great!

  • I didn't support your joke complaint. I provided a different complaint!

well the menus of s3 have improved graphics-- i do miss the surrealism of s2 menus, when you open it up there is a running river and thats soothing to listen to. and the personal ending song was amazing i really wished that that will return in s3. yes s2 suck because of story and choices (my opinion) but the symbolism was still there from s1. so far in s3 it hasent shown up.

EDIT - btw the way when i say symbolism i am talking about the small things that were added in s1 and s2 that add humour or shows a important message - examples of this are in s1 ep1 if you click on the gift cards in lee's parents store lee will say something about there are no cards with the message along the lines im sorry to hear that your love ones are eaten by the living dead - at the hospital in ep5 of s1 when you trying to get back on the street level, you can chose to click on the graffiti sign saying no help, lee will comment whoever paint it took a spill and that whoever painted it walked away thro that wasnt saying much (the white foot prints turn into a blood stain) - ep3 of s1 lee can choice to reflect on the sign aboved the train station that says survivors inside, a slident cry for help no one came there are are zombies inside the place where lee go to pick up the the blow torch. - in s2 ep4 when clem is walking around the the place where the griving kenny is sitting after his girlfriend died clem keeps looking at a stone stature of a solider carrying his injured partner on his shouders. anyway those are the ones that i can remember. they didnt have to be added but the fact that they were adds important info to the sisuration - some of them were about humanity.

  • I have an idea. Why don't you criticize objectively bad things about ANF and Batman, and not nitpick a bunch of irrelevant stuff? Not to be rude, but this nitpicking is getting old. A lot of the early ANF criticism posts were calling out actual problems, but now it's just gotten ridiculous enough with this nitpicking that I kind of feel bad for the devs now because instead of just talking about real issues the supposed 'fans' are nitpicking it to hell for no real rhyme or reason. Like, I get the distaste for the menus, they aren't great. But is it really thread worthy? It's such a trivial issue. Nobody plays Telltale games for those sick ass menus. If you want sick ass main menus play Zelda or Dark Souls.

Calm down, your paranoia is pissing everyone off!

  • Yeah, I mean I know it's kind of stupid to complain about but sometimes little details is what makes a game great.

  • I like the newer subtitles because you can actually adjust the size of them. So, I think that is definitely an improvement.

Every time I joke about a complaint someone always has to support that joke complaint. Great!

  • Exactly, I'm glad someone understands. I mean yes I can live with the new main menu screens but I would rather them just mix it up a bit.

  • I'm ok with the main menu screens and it's not a huge problem for me but I would rather have them mix it up then all of them be the exact same and I know I'm not going to be looking at it for that long but it just doesn't seem professional. Also, I barely visit these forums actually. So, I would not know about what other people post but still.

  • I personally wish that Telltale went back to the old format. It just doesn't have a "game" feeling to it when I see the menu. It just feels like I am using a television program. I get that Telltale is going that direction, but they should never forget what they are making are not Television, they are making a video game.
