    Movies:

    Alien Resurrection
    Jurassic Park III
Die Hard 5: I don't even care what the title is right now
A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: Spoilers! Everybody you like dies.
Pet Sematary 2: Clancy Brown couldn't even save it

    Games:

Mass Effect: Andromeda... Yes, I've defended it, but it really is disappointing compared to what I hoped for. I mean there's no Elcor ;)
(I would have put 3, but I didn't play it until after all the insanity, so it was actually better than I expected)
Assassins Creed: Brotherhood/Revelations. I already played #2. Why did we need this 2+ more times?
    Arkham Knight: I HATE DRIVING
    KOTOR 2: Good half-made game.
Super Mario Bros. 2(American version): Well, because it's not a Mario game. It was another Nintendo game in which they changed the sprites.

  • A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: Spoilers! Everybody you like dies.

I knew I shouldn't have watched it. Nightmare on Elm Street 1 and 3 are the only good ones of the franchise.

I didn't truly understand disappointment until A New Frontier.

  • I can only think of games at the moment:

    • Alan Wake's American Nightmare
    • You Don't Know Jack Vol. 2
    • You Don't Know Jack Vol. 6: The Lost Gold
    • Prince of Persia: Warrior Within and The Two Thrones
  • Mass Effect Andromeda and to a lesser extent Mass Effect 3
    Dead Rising 3
Silent Hills (because it will never exist.)

  • Batman & Robin. Seriously, what the FUCK was that?

  • A New Frontier

    • Alan Wake's American Nightmare

I thought I heard it was just a spin-off or DLC.

  • To a large extent: A New Frontier, it just doesnt give me the same vibe that previous games gave, its not as immersive, and characters are bland

Huge dissapointment: Magicka 2, its a fun game, but they just took all the good things about the first Magicka game and butchered it, in Magicka you combine elements to make all sorts of spells, and in Magicka 1, you were this really strong wizard, who could do whatever, and there were a few spells that were super op, but the fun came from using all sorts of different spells, now the biggest thing that made Magicka 2 such a dissapointment, was the fact that you have these things called Magicks, where you queue up a combo of elements, and press spacebar instead of firing it normally (with right click), and in Magicka 1, these spells didnt have any cooldown, which really emphasized that you were an allpowerful (albeit shitty) wizard, in Magicka 2 they created a hotkey system, so you could fire these magicks without knowing the combination, which put them on a cooldown, now you could still use magicks with the elemental combination, which largely removed the cooldown, but there was still a small global cooldown, even when you knew the combination, which severely limited the amount of fun combos you could do. They also nerfed elemental shields into the ground, in Magicka 1 you could protect yourself towards 3 or 4 elements at a time, for example you could use a magick called rain, which would make everyone on the screen wet, which increases lightning damage, but you yourself are wet, so you cant conduct electricity, but if you create a water shield, you become immune to the wet effect, and can use electricity in rain, you could also use a spell called thunderstorm, which calls down tons of lightning strikes, which does ALOT of damage, but you could put up a lightning ward, and be fine, now in Magicka 2, you had to use 2 of the same element in a ward before you were completely immune to any element, which means that you could only be immune to 2 elements at a time, and as magicka has friendly fire and self harm (and alot of explosions), the lack of many elements of immunity made it very hard to use any of the fun spells without killing yourself, especially on harder difficulties

  • I think Dragon Age 2 was the game that disappointed me the most. I loved the first game so much.

    Gladly (Deep breath):

X-Men: The Last Stand (wasted potential)

The second Mortal Kombat film that shall go nameless and unacknowledged

Alien 3 (I like dark stories at times but damn this one was BLEAK and don't get me started on shafting Hicks and Newt) plus Alien Resurrection

Curse of the Puppet Master & Puppet Master: The Legacy (U movies, U for ugh) plus the unnecessary crossover that shall go nameless and unacknowledged

The Matrix series completely nothing more than a waste of time. Started out with promise but just went downhill, weighed down by it's own hype.

The Pirates of the Caribbean series

The two films after Batman Returns

Cars 2 (Pixar's Cars series is about racing for pete's sake. I have no idea why they went the story they chose)

    Conan The Destroyer

The fourth Indiana Jones that shall go nameless and unacknowledged

Bayformers sequels but then again they're all junk. All flashy and no substance

Jaws' three sequels (lacked something, not sure what but just all wastes)

    Men In Black 2

US Marshals (sequel to the Fugitive, various unrealistic concepts plus a few plot holes too hard to ignore)

Hellraiser sequels (the only good; Hellbound: Hellraiser 2 and Hellseeker)

All sequels after the classic Planet of the Apes (Don't worry Rise and following are safe)

James Bond Live and Let Die, Moonraker, The Man with the Golden Gun, A View to a Kill and Die Another Day and the other Connery one not done by United Artists that shall forever to me shall go nameless and unacknowledged

AVP sequel and first film (wasted potential)

The third Jurassic Park movie (was it even necessary?!)

Hellboy II (Was lacking in certain parts and just repeating the "Freak" theme over your head)

The four Superman sequels (save the Richard Donner cut of II)

Did we really need a sequel to Eddie Murphy's Nutty Professor. Need I say more?

and if I may be so bold: The Dark Knight Rises, 8 years had passed and the story, where do I even begin? Then again, topping the Dark Knight seems like a feat that can't be accomplished.

another bold is the Terminator sequels, impressive visuals but action oriented just ruins the ride.

    GAMES

Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception. So, Nathan is NOT a descendant of Francis Drake, WTF?

Telltale Walking Dead A New Frontier

Mega Man X games after X5

Resident Evil 6 (Interesting characters but piss poor and frustrating game)

  • Iron Man 2, no doubt. I had incredibly high expectations after watching the first movie, which unfortunately led to a huge disappointment.

  • Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception. So, Nathan is NOT a descendant of Francis Drake, WTF?

    Continued:

    Every Ice Age sequel

Every sequel in the Dirty Harry series (save Sudden Impact)

Escape from LA (just a bland retelling of Escape from New York)

The Game of Death (a disgrace to Bruce Lee and altering what could have been the greatest martial arts movie for the future with a humdrum action flick) Sorry not a sequel but it's the thought that counts.

  • ...Yeah, it's just a semi-sequel/self-contained spin-off, not a full fledged game, like the original Alan Wake. It's much smaller hence why it's only like 15-20$. So, it's not THE sequel, but it is kind off like a continuation of events. So, as a continuation: it disappointed me.

Assassin's Creed II and Syndicate. ANF, of course Any Terminator or Alien after the second one

  • It is just a massive step down after the first game. I appreciate the more cinematic style, but the story is like the most generic revenge story ever, villains are deprived of ANY motivation or humanity (except for Jacopo, I guess), Ezio is the most generic hero ever, fortunatly he was great in Revelations when he was done with this vengeful action-man schtick, music is good but the best tracks are either only on soundtrack or very, very brief, Federico potential was wasted, humor is very forced ("Bianca is a sword not a person LOL, ROTFL, LMAO what a goofy guy, this Bartolomeo is), Modern Day is very short and it just like all the social commentary of AC 1. AC 3 FTW

  • While I don't agree with you in any of those points (and the majority will disagree with you as well) I still respect your opinions. I think you and I had a discussion way back about Syndicate where we disagreed as well. So I see no reason to get nowhere here either. AC 3 is pretty horrible though, just sayin'. I enjoyed Haytham, a lot. I wished we kept playing him for the whole game instead of just the first 3 sequences. If Ezio is generic, then Connor is the most generic piece of scum I've ever seen. His principles and rules, in general, was just all over the place.

  • "Connor is the most generic piece of scum"

Ok, have a good day, lol
If you really think that Ezio in AC 2 is a better character than Connor, than I don't think we anything to talk about. It's the same level of delusion as people who think that Rogue One is a good movie.

Why every side character disappears without a word every sequence? What happened to Cristina? How was Ezio changed by the murder of his family, and I don't mean the initial rage, I mean how he was affected as a person? What's the funniest moment in the game? ( in AC 3 it would be a contest between Shaun, Haytham and Faulkner, i love those guys) What's the best Ezio quote? ( DLC doesn't count)? What's the point of the "I hope we never change" talk in the intro if Federico just dies?

  • Ugh I agree on AC2 the story was one big cliche with Ezio being so generic I sometimes wonder that most people threat him as a God in AC2 is because of nostalgia and some of the dialoge is pretty horrible written or just awkward.
I liked him more in Brotherhood because he wanted to build the Brotherhood in Rome and Revelations just good if you ask me

It is just a massive step down after the first game. I appreciate the more cinematic style, but the story is like the most generic revenge s

  • I really do think that the universal love for AC 2 is just because of nostalgia. Many of my friends played the series recently and all of them say that their favourite was either III or Black Flag. And it made me think that most people like AC 2 just because it made an impression on them when they were younger. For me, I also loved AC 2 when it came out, but the more I played the more I realise that there's nothing special about it. With AC 3 it was the opposite. I didn't liked it at first but the more I played it over the years the more I appreciated and honestly I would consider it as good as The Last of Us when it comes to characters, story and emotions.
As for Brotherhood, I like it. It's still not AC 1 but it' a giant step up after II. Every character has their arcs (for example: Ezio learning to trust Claudia, or Volpe trusting Niccolo), villain is even more cartoony than in AC 2 but at least he's more enjoyable to watch and his voice is amazing, the music is much more fitting also.

For Gods sake I hate the storyline in Venice so freaking useless the only point at the end of the story was: The Artefact, get to know Moustache Assassin and Bartolomeo but Machaivelli was also introduced out of nowhere and everybody was fine with that whatever hell I hate the carnival level WTF where they thinking?

    what drives the villains?

I remember they wanted to take full vontrol of Italia so they acted like the creepy old dudes they are and WALKED TOGETHER WHILE EZIO COULD'VE KILLED THEM... Sorry still pissed.

Why every side character disappears without a word every sequence

I actually have to replay the game for that

**> What happened to Cristina? **

Actually that is a really interesting story now you mention it IN Devs Play S2E04 · "Assassin's Creed II" with Patrice Désilets and Greg Rice on Youtube the creator of AC talked about that they were gonna make a DLC with her it was said somewhere in the 2 hour video.
I always guessed she was just one of Ezio's woman quests to get laid but I got confused when I read the AC2 book which is cannon and Cristina died different in that book and had more screen time in it than 2.
By giving Cristina so many time it feels more like a retcon: She is with another man now and she doesn't want to see me anymore now I am sad (acts happy when he arrives at Theodoras place and gets fucked by 4 hookers XDDDDD

How was Ezio changed by the murder of his family, and I don't mean the initial rage, I mean how he was affected as a person?

Simple he wasn't he acted the same through the entire game except in the beginning from what I remember.
It doesn't make it easier when RED MEMORY CORRIDORS are traumatic events in somebody life but Ezio has white corridors.

What's the funniest moment in the game? ( in AC 3 it would be a contest between Shaun, Haytham and Faulkner, i love those guys)

Shaun is love Shaun is life I spread my ass dor Shaun for his boat my dad calls me a fag- OKE NOBODY READ THAT
But in all serious Shaun and Rebecca are one of my favorite ''teams'' since my childhood I love those two:)
Funniest moment in AC2 let me think... The Cristina scene... I played that with my mother for the first time...

"I hope we never change" talk in the intro if Federico just dies?

They hope life will always be the same and great together this would've worked for me really well if Ezio got really changed by what happened because he seemed the same after that.

  • They hope life will always be the same and great together this would've worked for me really well if Ezio got really changed by what happened because he seemed the same after that.

My problem with that is that they could've had Federico survive and become obsessed with revenge and he'd make Ezio realise that revenge isn't worth dying for or something like that. Essentialy something like Arno and Elise dynamic in Unity.

    Games:
-Kingdom Hearts 1: I actually have a big hate towards this game by the KH fanbase mostly let me tell you what I don't like about this game: The opening scene with Sora's dream was useless if I missed it and it started with Sora and Riku running you don't miss shit.
    Everything on Destiny Islands.
    The camera,
the platforming is shiiiiiiiiit like bad damned
The story of KH1 makes zero sense to me I remember as a kid thinking to myself ''So these kids believe they can get of this world by a raft they never explained how and they think Kairi is from another world because... She is new?'' I did this for 15 hours straight through the fucking story.
Finding your way though the game is a mess.
Okay I hate this game and only like the last three worlds.
They are a few things what I like about this fucking game but everybody seems to FUCK it so go ahead buy it:)

-Kingdom Hearts 2.8: I love KH to death hell if I have to cut myself untill I end up in the hospital to get KH3 I will fucking do it but this was not worth 60 euros.
Dream Drop Distance was never planned I am sure because Nomura retconned the shit out of KH there are also numerous continuety errors in this game and gameplay was just fucking boring to me.
Back Cover movie looked good with some good voice acting but was a waste of my time and I swear to God if Square puts this bullshit in my KH3 I AM GONNA FREAK OUT!
Birth By Sleep Episode 2: This was just a demo f KH3 but a fun one at least and the only important thing I got out of 2.8 you know what I wish they spent all the money on this only... Unfortunate they had to force the ending to be so extremly connected to KH1

-A New Frontier my expectations were low but that dissapointed me on so many levels.

-TWD Season 2 because of the hype I had but the final three episodes were horrible if you ask me personally.

-Assassin's Creed Unity: I hoped they game would be a 6/10... There was no force that prepared me for that traumatic expierence what I don't understand is that these people actually got paid to do this!

-Final Fantasy 8: I gave up after half a hour I bought it because of Spoonys rant reviews

    -Final Fantasy X/X2

  • I'm not saying that Unity is good (IMO it's better than 2 or Syndicate but I repeat IMO) i just think that the idea behind Arno and Elise's relationship, where one is obsessed with vengeance and the other is trying to help them find peace would work really well with Ezio and Federico. Please don't bring up Unity Edit: But I would have loved that A revenge brothers story that could've been interesting

  • Firstly, I haven't played ACII since 2015, so I don't remember everything in detail. But I will try to answer your questions.

what do the Venice chapters add to the story and what is Ezio motivation during them?

The Venice chapters dragged the game out a bit, I admit that. But his motivation is to kill templars, it's his job as an assassin. He travelled there because there were templars there. He knew they were there because he eavesdropped on a meeting and read a note about it, didn't he?

    what drives the villains?

The villain of the game existed IRL. They could only do what they could do with Rodrigo. What drove him? Power. He was a man that just wanted more and more fucking power. The others chose his side because they wanted power as well. That is a very normal villainous trait, so I am not sure why you asked that question.

Why every side character disappears without a word every sequence?

As I stated in the beginning, I played it years ago. Can you tell me some examples, and then I might be able to tell you!

    What happened to Cristina?

While it is very vague to what happened to Christina, you get to know her faith really well. If you didn't know, there are some Christina-memories in AC: Brotherhood. Check them out, they are pretty cool once you find them.

How was Ezio changed by the murder of his family, and I don't mean the initial rage, I mean how he was affected as a person?

At first, his anger played a big part of course. But his whole personality change throughout the first game is for him to be able to control his feelings, his anger especially. He's a very emotional person, and as an assassin, he had to learn to contain it.

What's the funniest moment in the game?

I found it pretty hilarious to beat Duccio the fuck up, I think you can do that in all three games as well. Then Ezio has some witty and funny dialogue here and there. Leonardo was pretty funny. Shaun was good.

    What's the best Ezio quote?

'Requiescant in pace.' That is a classic. There are a couple more that deserves spotlight as well. I'm not sure if these are ACII, but I know it's Ezio. Also, yes I searched them the fuck up. I remembered them, but not the whole of them.

'When I was a young man, I had liberty, but I did not see it. I had time, but I did not know it. And I had love, but I did not feel it. Many decades would pass before I understood the meaning of all three. And now, the twilight of my life, this understanding has passed into contentment. Love, liberty, and time: once so disposable, are the fuels that drive me forward. And love, most especially, Mio Caro. For you, our children, our brothers and sisters. And for the vast and wonderful world that gave us life, and keeps us guessing. Endless affection, mia Sofia. Forever yours, Ezio Auditore.'

Now that one is from Embers, but it is a very strong quote that I wanted to share as well.

'We work in the dark to serve the light, we are assassins!' Also a classic. Another honourable mention would be the singing from Revelations.

What's the point of the "I hope we never change" talk in the intro if Federico just dies?

I don't get this point. Yes, he died. But you had to establish the character. You had to establish his storyline. He was needed for the plot and you could argue that he's just a tool for the plot along with the rest of the men in the family except Ezio, but I don't see it as that.

It's a touching speak, that I thought fit perfectly with the character.

Just don't shit on my opinions, mate. I respect yours, so please respect mine!

So if you disagree, then tell me: what does the Venice chapters add to the story and what is Ezio motivation during them? what drives the vi

What was the point of the jar when you can just take all the water from the well near the entrance?
