It isn't confirmed, but I don't see how Kate could have survived the explosion, and even if she somehow did she would be severely injured and devoured by walkers.
It is like Christa, though there are many theories that Christa is alive and well, I don't see how Christa survived season 2 episode 1. If Clementine distracts the scavengers we hear Christa get tackled which is followed by a gun shot then silence. If you don't distract the scavengers Christa gets stabbed in the leg with a spear and yells for Clementine to run and as Clementine runs, Christa is silenced by a gunshut. People could argue that it was Christa who shot the scavengers, but she was outnumbered and you wouldn't have just heard one gun shot then silence if that was the case.
Sorry I got off topic with the Christa thing but yeah, I don't see how Kate could survive what happened at the end of Episode 4.
Kate might still be alive, and while she isn't popular either I quite like her, so that'd make it easier to be emotionally invested. Not counting on it thougj.

Clem and Javi were friends/acquaintances (which, yes, we have it now, but their attitude towards eachother in the trailer seems different between then and now). They had common goals, and one of which Javi was looking for someone special to him (as evidenced by the "just hold on" at the end of the trailer.) Javi supplied Clem with ammo, as if they had an agreement of some sort (though I am not sure what it would be.)

I'm 50/50 on this. I think the best way for him to die is taking a bullet for Clementine but I have a feeling he's going to live in the finale.
