Honestly, Do you want Clem x Gabe?

  • i'd like a close friendship where they can both grow and mature from each other, which could still be likely next ep.

That's what I wanted and what really should've happened the entire installment.

yes, i don't really want romance either, but it's what the devs seem to be going for. i'd like a close friendship where they can both grow and mature from each other, which could still be likely next ep.

  • yes I want Clem and gabe to date and it is stupid that people want her to be a lesbian.

  • Neither are interesting enough for me to care one way or the other. Looking more forward to see what becomes of The New Frontier and who takes over now.

  • it also made literally no sense that gabe suddenly has a crush on clementine, even when there are no hints of it (ex: gabe rolls his eyes when javi brings her up) like he knew her for a day and brought her up randomly, i just don't understand

  • So we could know the aftermath of Richmond/New Frontier conflict afterward and the plot could progress further for the possible upcoming season (if there is any)?

Okay, may I ask: Why the hell would wait until the finale of a season/installment to do a time skip? I can only assume this is after Clementine has left and we get a taste of the Garcia's status when Telltale decides to use them again.

  • because there's absolutely not a shred of chemistry between them, nor have the writers actually bothered to develop the actual characters themselves. Their scenes have mostly just consisted of exchanging glances, often without any dialogue and when they do speak, it's brief and uneventful, and doesn't in any way give us a suggestion as what they'd find attractive about each other, personality or appearance wise. The only thing that indicates a romance is the fact that one happens to be a female teenager and the other a male, undeniably annoying, teenager. That's it. Because when you exclude that tiny little detail and conclude to the possibility that both are heterosexual, they have no reasons to build a romantic connection amongst each other.

    This. Oh my goodness, this.

Fridge Logic can only go so far, Telltale.

Nope. But not because I have some weird, fixated parental thing with Clementine, but because there's absolutely not a shred of chemistry bet

  • I want Clem x Javi

  • Hmm...I guess that is the likely reason.

I don't care. Right now, I can see them getting together solely because they are about the same age and in a dire situation. Their personalities couldn't be more different, but in that situation, perhaps their ages being close is enough. On the long run, I don't think it would be something that would work out.

When you are alone or with a bunch of people you can't relate to, sometimes you end up getting close to someone that otherwise you wouldn't care for. Like when you travel abroad and you meet someone of your country, or just someone who speaks your language, and you tend to gravitate towards them at first even if later you find out you have nothing in common other than that.

Ok now I'm analyzing this too much. So long story short, I think they are too different for things to work out but I don't care if TellTale disagrees with me.

  • No

Yes I do. I'd let a real life daughter have a boyfriend, so I'd let a fictional daughter have one too. It's called growing up, progress and letting go.

  • If TT do dat, buh bye guys~~

    N.O. MEANS NO!!

  • You want to fuck Clementine? you sick bastard, shes 13 years old!

I thought we shipped Carley and Lee and she died an episode later or the exact episode we started to ship her c:

I think a lot of people take issue with the Gabetine ship because they don't like Gabe. Gabetine becoming canon means having to have his character stick around longer. That's a reasonable complaint, regardless if you're a shipper imho.

  • Oh come on man that not fucking fair

  • I feel like they should, but not in a universe such as the walking dead. It hurts me to say it, but i dont think it would work out in the long run, and this is coming from a Clementine x Gabriel shipper. But i really want them to be a couple though, even though the chances are way against it sadly.

  • Gabentine (I hate this shipping-name-combo-stuff) has been discussed to death, but let me throw in my 2 Cents:

    NO!

You know the fact that she is 13 and Javier is around 25-30, right?

  • People wanted Clem and Luke to be a thing, and she was 11 while Luke is 27/28 (? he tells you at the campfire).
    So it doesn't surprise me.

Yeah I remembered it. I mean what makes people think that ship a kid and an adult is a good idea ? I really dont understand.

  • If Duck was still alive, I'd be all for it. Wouldn't that be perfect actually?

  • It would make more sense especially, because they'd know each other for way longer, are close friends already and probably would develop something genuine when they reach their puberty. Not saying it'd have to be, but it would make hell of a lot more sense than Gabe and Clementine.

The term "Clem x Javi" had to be added to the content filter because it was being misused at one point to troll and be gross, i approved it for you as you wasn't misusing it.

yes you're right they both had somethings in common. Least Duck wasnt fuck the group like Gabe did. He was smart enough to find some clues about stolen supplies and helped the group about it actually. It is definitely makes more sense than GabexClem.

I made a Genentine image as a joke on April fools day but in the game i don't think they should be a couple, Clementine has more on her mind in trying to find AJ rather than being romantically involved with Gabe but i don't mind them being friends or talking to each other.

  • Thanks XD

  • I have no strong feelings one way or another.

  • Let's don't forget. It is not our world - it's a world, ravaged by zombie apocalypse and they all should do anything and everything so that human race gets a chance for surviving. And the other thing is.. Clem started bleeding and she know it's a "thing" :D

  • Can't find it in me to give even the singlest of shits. Gabe's ok, I guess. If Clem likes him.

  • Pretty much the best stance to take, honestly.

People were making a unnecessarily big deal about it before it was a thing. In fact, it's possible that they're complaining is the reason it became so.

Can't find it in me to give even the singlest of shits. Gabe's ok, I guess. If Clem likes him.

  • I think as he currently behaves Clementine wouldn't want to be around Gabe for long periods of time, let alone have any sort of romantic relationship.

If this were the real world they could likely get away with giving things a chance, if it doesn't work out then nothing is really lost. This is the zombie apocalypse however and Gabe just doesn't strike me as an asset to survival and I can see Clem thinking the same. She already has AJ to look out for, can she really afford to mother Gabe until he realises he needs to grow up quick?
