I honestly have no clue how they're going to be able to wrap everything up in a 70 minute episode or even a 90 minute episode when it looks … morelike a huge bulk of the episode revolves around David and Javier. What about Conrad, MAX (he didn't even EXIST in episode 4), AJ, Tripp, Ava, Clem's last name reveal that they've strongly hinted at, the reveal of her father, the time skip they also strongly hinted at as well, and the McCarroll ranch? Or was most of it made up in effort to generate misleading hype? I just don't know how they'll be able to include all of this without it feeling A) rushed, totally incomplete and left open, or C) on a massive cliffhanger in order to get us to buy the next installment. No matter what happens, I have a really bad feeling about this.

I have to concur a bit that the trailer really isn't that great. It doesn't really give a decent idea of any of the actual story beyond rand… moreom fighting, random fighting, drama, and more fighting with actual (predictable?) drama attached.

* Kate is immediately declared "gone" early on in the trailer, which I very much hope is determinant or at very least towards the end of the episode.
* Finally getting some interaction amongst David, Gabe, and Clementine it seems, which can hopefully make up for some lost time.
* "It won't end well for everyone." No shit. The way that's timed doesn't bode well either.
* That-Paul-Guy(according to previous comments) is back riding around like some random knight because of course he is.
* Kate briefly shows up in the background driving a tractor(Car Fu?). So that's a plus.

Every episode has leaked and the trailer even leaked early but you're still going to doubt people when they say they've got spoilers/played it already? Nice observational skills you have there.
GamesRadar review of episode 1+2 December 20th: "Experiencing Telltale's The Walking Dead may be the closest thing many players have to feeling like an actual parent. Watching little Clementine grow up with the series has been a gripping, sometimes emotionally exhausting journey, from acting as her guardian in The Walking Dead: Season One to stepping into her tiny shoes in Season Two. But even if you haven't spent hours guiding Clementine through the undead-filled post-apocalypse, A New Frontier still demonstrates the resonant power of interactive storytelling. With its two-episode premier, this third season finds the right balance between rewarding longtime players who've shaped their own version of the story and welcoming those who might be hopping aboard this grim adventure for the first time."

IGN review of Episode 1 December 20th: "A welcome return to form, A New Frontier’s uncharted territory both feels familiar and, excitingly, fresh."
Text at the same place of IGN review of latest episode: "A thinly constructed episode lacks in tension and gripping drama until its final few moments."
Gamespot review of Episode 1 December 20th: "Telltale Games kicks off the third season of its Walking Dead series by introducing a fresh cast of new characters--a logical start for a season dubbed "A New Frontier." The story's lens shifts focus across the country to peer into the lives of a struggling family, rather than the exploits of downtrodden survivors. Yet even with all of these changes and scant undead creeps, A New Frontier's premier episode will feel familiar to fans of the series. Episode one establishes a heady moral stew loaded with hard choices and heartbreak, and is one of the best additions to the series since it began in 2012."
Latest Gamespot review: "The New Frontier season of Telltale's The Walking Dead is wrapping up the way that it began, with more Garcia family strife than zombie action in the penultimate episode. Thicker Than Water plays up the soap-opera dynamics that have long been as big a part of the franchise as the brain-munching gore, making for a more satisfying episode than its snoozy predecessor. Fireworks explode in the relationship between leading man Javier Garcia and his brother David, who finally figures out that his estranged wife Kate might just have feelings for her brother-in-law. Tensions bring Richmond to the edge of a full-blown revolt. And a cliffhanger conclusion sets everything up for an intense finale when the last episode of the season arrives later this spring."
Comparison of TT's Walking Dead series to TV show and comic March 29th: "I’m a huge Walking Dead fan—as long as we’re talking about the right Walking Dead. I read around a hundred issues of the comic before losing interest. I’ve seen seven seasons of the TV show, which tends to exasperate me every single week. And I’ve played every episode of Telltale Games’ ongoing Walking Dead video game series—in the midst of its third season, which dropped its third installment this week and is easily the best Walking Dead story ever told."
Statement refers to TT's Walking Dead as a whole
Now I'm wondering why they put those quotes in this 1 minute trailer in the first place. 2 of them are pre-release reviews and the other is a comparison of a video game with a TV show and comics.
Why do I have this feeling that Javier and Clem (besides Jesus) are gonna be the sole survivors...?
I wish

Why do I have this feeling that Kate, David, Gabe and the other characters that weren't showed on the trailer (that still alive in episode 4) are gonna be determinant...?
for kate and gabe I WISH, for dave NO I want my bro to get away from the evil TT killing plot.

He could also blame you for her "death" as well. If you end up killing David and then discover that Kate in fact survived the crash, I would say that makes the situation all the more tragic.
I sure hope getting into a fight with David is determinant. If he still flips despite Javi always having his back and not romancing Kate I would be extremely disappointed.
"Easily the best Walking Dead story ever told" - GQ
^That is some real Trump-level bullshit. Unbelievable.
Trailer looks okay. Don't k… morenow, could've been more "thrilling", since the David vs. Javi stuff gets old quickly. Nothing new and not really "entertaining" if you ask me. However, I have the feeling that the last moment of the trailer, where Javi points the gun, is meant for (Walker) Kate and not for David, as the trailer wants us to believe. I'll admit tho, this view right here is a very good one:
The entire episode is gonna revolve around Javi and this theme of "protecting your family" which TT's tried desperately to feed us since the beginning. We're gonna be forced to choose between people and feel devastated after losing our family we've been emotionally (not) attached.
It's gonna be dramatic and it's gonna try soo hard to level up with two previous finale-s to prove that AFN is "the best WD story ever told" and also prove us wrong on all the hate (good luck with it). It'll be chaotic, quick, loud, full of action and misleading little choices, and most likely it will be dissapointing.

Eleanor better not die. Her absence is worrying the hell out of me.
Yeah, seriously. She's been simultaneously getting the shaft and actually doing stuff this entire time. She deserves to finally get some love now.
Who do you think Javier is pointing gun at?
I think David is the obvious answer. People are saying it's Kate about to die, which makes sense too, but the timing of it and it's context within the trailer lends to the former.

What if they pulled a twist? What if it wasn't David, but Gabe who gets seriously wounded getting between his Dad and Uncle during their fight?

With the way the trailer presented itself, it really makes it seem as if David and Javi fighting is non-determinant, so I really hope we're both wrong and that it is a result of our choices.

That's my main concern as well.
He showed up as a corpse if Javier shot him or said nothing.
No wonder it's like
I think everyone thinks Kate is dead after the crash but she'll show up later in the episode.
Wow, I didn't think it was possible, but that trailer made me even less hyped to play this game. That was really bad.
Isn't she just joking?
I know, hence me mention she's in the tractor and desperately hoping "she's gone" only become a thing fairly late in the episode.

It's true, the choices have been leaked, it's highly shit
Do I need to see it?
I dunno man, it's just that the sole survivor thing-y with only 1 or 2 characters surviving is just meh...
I'd never had this thought before, but now after seeing the official trailer, I'm afraid it might come true...
Eleanor better not die. Her absence is worrying the hell out of me.

With a decidedly not Melted Face.

Stop bringing fucking politics into everything. Jesus Christ.
No.
This is Kate Walker (Syberia)
That one never gets old.
Cool trailer. I'm Interested in seeing how they'll wrap this season up, Its been an overall fun ride.
After watching the trailer its very clear that
TFW everyone hates the trailer when you actually don't hate it at all and are actually excited for the episode : ))))
Well we can kinda predict it can't we.

They clearly only played ANF.
It's not Clementine. He walked past her.
Nooo, you're not the only one.
I don't hate the trailer and honestly can't wait for 30th may
Typical. Why did I even ask lmao
I'm hyped AF.
Yeah, seriously. She's been simultaneously getting the shaft and actually doing stuff this entire time. She deserves to finally get some love now.

Fuck wall Street

Hmm...sounds interesting to me!
i agree with this
this
all of this
count me in my dude
With the way the trailer presented itself, it really makes it seem as if David and Javi fighting is non-determinant, so I really hope we're both wrong and that it is a result of our choices.
You forgot option D): Pull a Minecraft and have players buy 3 more additional episodes of content.
I don't hate the trailer, but I also didn't like it. If I'm being honest, it was just meh.
That's possible, too.
The more I think about it, the more I think it might be true.
See you later alligator
