Whatever, I still don't see a good reason to think Assassin's Creed 2 was bad. That video doesn't help anything, it's just his opinion, more like a rant video.

  • I don't see it and I don't see this being justified until a critic tells me.

  • Where do you get your info? The internet? Unless you've experienced ALL religions for a few years, I doubt your information is reliable.

Also; I mean in modern times, hon. Not back in the 1400's. And just because some church is part of a religion doesn't mean they have the same "evil intents" as other churches that are part of the same religion.

Oh name a religion and I will find you their dirty secrets that they wished would never be found.

    ok

    here you go mate, here's a critic's perspective on assassin's creed 2

Spoiler Alert: He basically says the same thing as Dunkey but way less comedy heavy and says hardly anything about side missions, not to mention Dunkey is a comedic critic so he has some kind of standing ground, although, it's not like being a critic makes you special, you're just like everyone else but you have the ability to think objectively

  • If I were you...I would not assume shit. I can bring up enough things in the last 150 years.

    • Mormons ethnic cleansing of Indian tribes in Utah
    • Jewish land grabs and destruction of towns and villages that were older than Judaism itself.
    • Forced genital mutilation
    • Destruction of African culture.

Religion is a dangerous tool that is used as a means to control thought and moods. It does many good things...but there is the inherent mistrust of each other's religion.

Here is an old joke. Do you know the definition of a cult? Yeah it is the church down the street from your own.

So am not going to damn religion...but yes...not only is FarCry 5 timely with it's view of extremism but it can serve as an object lesson of how religion can be perverted for immoral acts.

  • In the past 150 years. ._. When I say modern I mean contemporary modern. Shit changes in even just 50 years. Think of it this way; 150 years ago, Canada was only just becoming it's own individual country.

Yeah, that was then, but this is now. Sure, there are definitely still people within certain religions who still do those things, but not ALL people in certain religions are like that. It's the people who choose to do something that their book or bible (or whatever they use) tells them to.

Look, think of it this way; is it RELIGIONS' fault? Or the PEOPLE'S fault? Don't answer, just giving you some food to chew for a bit.

Must be nice living by such binary perceptions.

Binary perceptions like saying the gaming industry is pandering to the 'far-left'?

It's pretty blatant considering how it's hitting all of the current hot button topics. Muslim, transgender, hatred against rednecks. I di

  • I'm looking forward to the MVP Pastor Jerome.

  • gameplay wise i'd somewhat agree with. but story-wise and graphical wise i think far cry 3 is far superior. i don't think far cry 4 is a bad game in general though, just compared to far cry 3.

    Nope. I say they're equal. Gameplay-wise.

  • I thought they said not to make personal attacks? I was just asking him about his viewpoint, didn't make sense to me.

  • I know everybody is trying to avoid it, but what's your opinion on the religious extremist aspect of the game?

Do you reserve judgement for when the game comes out or do you have an opinion already? Do you feel offended or do you not care?

  • Amazing quote with the gun in the bible just making it even better!.

  • Why would anyone care? I think people are massively overblowing something that isn't even a problem to begin with. I can slightly see religious people taking offense, but even that is a stretch.

  • I'm not appreciating it, although I am not entirely offended by it.

It's fine, it's just a game. Although religious extremism is sensitive nowadays and religion is beginning to be something people fear, unless you have a hard time knowing what the difference is between reality and fantasy, not very many people will take the religious aspect too seriously.

It can give religion a bad name...

Pretty sure real life has done that already. I mean I'm a Christian man myself but that seems like a really silly thing to say.

I'm religious as well, but I'm horribly annoyed with all the bad-religion type themes. It can give religion a bad name...

  • To be fair none of the factions in Far Cry 3 and 4 were really "good". Especially in Far Cry 4 when you choose who leads the Golden Path. Hell, it turns out even your father was kind of a dick. Even Pagan, who was an asshole is his own right, at least admitted defeat and warned you at the very end about the choices we make. So yea...why couldn't side with Pagan? At least with Vaas there was a personal reason to kill him. Pagan at least harbored no real ill will towards you. (Then again it's been a while since I played 4 so I forget)
