You have to be fucking kidding me. What about Game of Thrones, Telltale? You know, that series that you left in a huge cliffhanger for almost two years now?
I can sort of see the potential since anything is possible within the Minecraft world that is if they take real good advantage of the Minecraft liscence this time around instead of a generic story with generic characters only it's blocky.
I don't think the contract made them do multiple seasons, it just let TTG use the GoT license for a few years. Whether or not they actually use it once more (as in, make a season 2) before the contract expires... that's up to the higher-ups.
Ayy, you remembered my Cheetos hoax.
Good times, good times.
SAN RAFAEL, Calif., Feb 10, 2015 -- Leading and award-winning… more developer and publisher of digital entertainment Telltale Games and world renowned snack provider Frito Lay today announced a groundbreaking, cross media partnership to create a tailored, episodic narrative about the iconic 'Cheetos' snack brand. Cheetos - A Telltale Games Series will be an all-new narrative-driven, episodic game series, developed by Telltale in collaboration with Frito Lay.
"Partnering with Frito Lay and working with the well established 'Cheetos' brand is a dream come true for us as game makers and as storytellers," said Kevin Bruner, President and Co-Founder of Telltale Games. "Chester Cheetah is an icon and a brand mascot of infinite possibility and imagination. Working with the Frito Lay team on our own unique, story-driven interpretation of their fascinating universe is a tremen… [view original content]
I really hope we get word about Game of Thrones. May not of been their best game, but goddammit- We just did this. Minecraft doesn't need a season two right now. Do it after Thrones- We've been waiting a while on that, y'know?
Tales is up to Gearbox, so I can't really fault them for not having news regarding that.
Same with Wolf.
I mean... We have two cliffhangers as of right now. So can't we solve them first? I dunno. Very poor choices here.
You mods are on the prowl. I see a certain thread down below in the Minecraft section has 4 comments, though when I look inside, I only find 3. I wonder...

Personally I'm apathetic about this. Minecraft Story Mode did have a few good moments, and I recognize I did actually enjoy parts of it's story. Up until the end of the storm anyway, everything after that was just a bit pointless.
Still, I would actually enjoy a equal to any other game a lot more.
That's the point though, a huge number of Telltale's fan base strongly dislikes that world. So instead of making something that we've all been waiting for (Tales, Wolf, GOT) Telltale has decided to cash in on Minecraft to pull in that audience of kids. They're essentially taking the easy way out.

Ha welp. Alright. Minecraft was fun. Not my first choice for a second season, but sure. Well I think I know now what Eric Stirpe's secret project is now, since he did write a fairly good chunk of story mode season 1.

That's not what I said. If you don't like the game don't buy it, I hardly see this as a failure as a company. It's like if you didn't like Dragon Age you get mad whenever Bioware releases a new Dragon Age but that's illogical. You don't like a game you don't buy it and wait for a game you like. And no, I don't believe Telltale is perfect and can do no wrong. They've done things I don't like but unlike others I don't focus on the bad and start getting mad at every single thing they do.

Ah, the nostalgia
What?! The first season was horrible.

I'm trying so hard to like you Telltale, why are you not helping?
Ahahahahaha!
Triggered

You deserve a Nobel Peace Prize.
@Blind Sniper I told myself that I'd stop ignoring the results in the strawpolls I posted once GOT S2 was announced.
Guess it's not happening any time soon.
Holy shit I hate minecraft as a normal game but story mode was good I'm actually exited!
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
GIVE US SOMETHING ELSE PLEASE
Well that was unexpected. Game Of Thrones asked me to say Hi insert smiley face with hidden intentions here
Seriously! Why tho?
If only telltale released sequels to ALL games so quickly... S1 just ended guys, not even a year i guess
Well, Walking Dead Season 2 was released fairly quick after Season 1.

That just makes it worse that it hasn't even been a year. Lol.
Oh well, too bad. Guess they need to support their families one way or another.

The season pass disk has been classified by New Zealand as well!
Still waiting for that "Super Show" btw.
Eh I liked mcsm. Not tts best but I found it to be a breath of fresh air tbh
Is there any possibility of a House of Cards telltale series?
Can we boycott this? This is insulting lmao
yay to the reasonable one!
You could just not buy it. That way the fans of it get more and you don't have to play it. Win win.
That's what boycotting is, it's a mass refusal to buy something in protest.

I wouldn't expect tales.s2 till after borderlands 3 tbh
Oh no people are getting mad at Telltale failing as a company again! Telltale can obviously do no wrong! AgentZ46 to the rescue!
Well it did have a good amount of people who liked it. I don't.like.got and i don't.mind it getting a s2
Again I am mixed. But then again when I compare ANF and Minecraft: Story Mode, I find Minecraft to be the better game.
But it wasn't that long ago that Minecraft finished. And it has been two years since GoT, if I have a choice, I want GoT over Minecraft.
