If NATE ever returned in TWDG..

What do you think your first reaction would be?

  • I won't react because it won't happen.

  • realist as fuck XD

    I won't react because it won't happen.

  • A psychopath like this, I am sure he is still alive

  • Well considering my first thread on this forum was dedicated to Nate I'd think its pretty obvious what my first reaction would be. Though my next reaction would probably be one of dread seeing how horribly they fucked up Clem's character in ANF.

I want to see Nate again but at the same time I don't want the new writers to botch his character up.

He mostly just talked about tits and warned you about stealing from him. But he's about the closest personality to Negan that Telltale had came up with so far. If Nate were to come back somehow it would of been better to make him one of the Richmond leaders. Clint was boring as pocket lint. So perhaps Nate needed to take his place.

  • Oh, this guy. He was a thing. Kinda hoped he'd been killed at some point, but whatever.

"Hey, maybe things will start getting interesting but probably not."

  • I love Nate, he's my favourite 400 days character, honestly if he steals AJ and he's the main antagonist... oh man that'd be a good day. For fans, not for Clem or AJ.

  • Telltale made Nate before Negan was a character.

  • I remember being so excited if Nate returned in S2, I was so sure he would but he never did. :(

What are you talking about, Negan first appeared in the Issue #100 of the comics, which was out on July 11 2012, while 400 days only out on July 2 2013

That's what I be wanting to know half the time he comments. LOL

  • Definitely.

  • I disagree. I think there's a pretty good chance that Telltale is going to want to make a Negan-like villain in season 4, and Nate's the closest character to Negan in TWDG.

If Nate doesn't appear in season 4 then I'm certain someone like him will.

    I won't react because it won't happen.

  • When I see Nate's bulged out eyes there, I wonder if this was inspired by Nicolas Cages character Castor Troy from the movie Face Off.

  • I would probably be very happy, I always like old characters coming back (unless it's in a shitty way like the 400 days crew in Season 2)

Yes that was so pathetic, a 2 second cameo from each of them and Clementine doesn't say anything to them and Vince, Wyatt and Russell are so out of character.

Bonnie has a major part but she was not a determinant character from 400 days.

  • Were they? Vince in particular seemed fine to me, given their situation.

  • After I played 400 Days I eagerly awaited seeing him become an original recurring character and wanting to see more depth into his character but as usual Telltale and their "god like rewrites" totally forgot about him and left us wondering what could have been

He was going to run off to Carver like a little snitch and tell on Tavia just for having a smoke.

  • I thought then the 400 would be recurring for each seasons, continuing with the characters we played or met

Again others good things wasted sigh

  • I bet it was Sean Vanaman who wrote the Nate character, he was the great lead writer of S1 and 400 days but he left before they did S2 and got replaced with basic yes men robot safe types.

  • Shit, wanna party?

  • This is the same guy who shot a guy to protect his brother despite the guy saying he's not even sure he knows his brother and shoots one of this new prisoner friends' foot off so he and the other escape, briefly stopping to show a small hint of remorse for having to do so. I think it's perfectly in character for him to do that so no one else would get blamed for it by Carver.

  • Annoyed. I don't get why every likes Nate, he was so boring and generic.

  • I know what you mean, this guy is a time bomb waiting to go off.

  • OK THEN SMART GUY, NAME SOME CHARACTERS THAT ARE BETTER THAN HIM AND FUNNIER.

  • Yeah, I'd be fucking delighted if Nate came back. Probably my favourite character, excluding Kenny. Though I don't want to see him as a villain, since we've seen that sort of thing multiple times and as others have mentioned, in the comics with Negan. I'd much prefer if he was an anti-hero sort within the season's new cast and that instead of following Telltale's same old formula of mostly goodie goodies in the groups, his psychotic nature would have to be relied on for the more difficult aspects of surviving in the apocalypse.

  • Boring? GENERIC? Wha? Nate is my favorite bad guy in TWD universe, he is talkative, has a strange humor, not afraid of anything, witty, unstable and unpredictable.

  • Do you realize that he killed a couple of old person just for the fun ?

  • I would rather have 15 minutes with this guy than ANF put together.

  • To be honest, I'd be kinda happy, cause I kinda like Nate.

He's the type of guy that knows how to break the ice in the middle of a zombie apocalypse, but kinda also taking things too far. But I guess that's what survival leads people to do.

  • I'm glad someone said it. I 100% agree. I would probably groan out loud and facepalm if he turned up. Nate's better off as a one-off character to be never seen again, just like Molly.

  • It would of been good if he had turned up again in S2, but I guess if it was any later than that then it would feel a bit forced.
