In the hub on the ship if you keep talking to Groot, Peter greets him differently everytime. If you do it enough times Peter will amusingly say "I am Peter." Also if you keep doing it eventually Groot will make a "What the hell are you doing" face.
See, I got an even worse response. In my first play through I ended up agreeing with Gamora on just about everything (she was making all the smart choices)
So on my second play through, I picked all the other choices. Holy Moly did it get bad. I sold Thanos to the collector, went to Hala's ship with Drax, went to Halfworld first, kicked her out of the room with Nebula and then left Drax to guard Nebula.
She looked very angry immediately afterwards and then began ranting about how I never took her side (she was 100% correct) and when I protested she listed every single occurrence then stormed off. Later in the Temple, she said one line to me and refused to help me press the button.
...
I think that version of Star-Lord should fear for his life.
If you refuse to take Gamora into Hala's ship, prioritize Rocket's side mission first, then trust Drax to guard Nebula, Gamora will say "I'm… more seeing a pattern here." with a pissed off look and follow up about how you disregarded her in those 3 decisions, in which Peter will answer "It's not personal, Gamora". Then when she's coming with Peter to the temple, she'll turn her face away when Peter starts talking to her. with arms crossed.
Eh, she refused to press the button? In my playthrough she still did it even though she's still pissed. That may be because I didn't sell Thanos to The Collector. (I followed her suggestion instead) :P

Now that is cool.
Details, man! They are important. (And, in this case, used very well. Totally optional, but fun to discover.)
Edit: … moreBy the way, how did you come by this? Why did you suddenly think: "I'm going to click on Groot 12 times to see what happens" ?
Well Guardians did that weird thing where the conversation would end before you pick all the options so I had to interact with Groot like three times to get all the options. Like I'd pick that I'm worried about Rocket and then I'd have to talk to Groot again if I wanted to say I'll understand him someday. That's when I noticed that Peter said something different every time I talked to Groot.
Now that is cool.

I noticed some pretty drastic changes to Gamora's attitude towards Nebula if you told her to distance herself. If you fight her at the Collector's museum and say "We're not enemies" Gamora says "No but we're not friends either. We're going to get what we need from her and then I don't want to see her ever again." There's also if you talk to her in the hub Gamora once again says that she wants to get this over with.
Then there's the guardian Nebula choice and Gamora's reasons are that Drax isn't good at guarding and that she knows Nebula.
Now I'm not sure about this one because it might've been because I let Gamora threaten Nebula but when I freed her Gamora says "Watch out! Nebula's escaped!" And Nebula says "Jokes on you, I was freed." And later after saving Gamora she says "Don't get the wrong idea."
Now that is cool.

It seems that guarding Nebula might've been really good for Drax. I say this because if you contact him while exploring the temple he has some pretty interesting stuff to say. Firstly he says he was disappointed because he expected a fight but Nebula just seemed sad and then Drax mentions he feels sad as well. If you contact him again he says something else and I really liked it. "I think I'm beginning to understand her. I did not know that Thanos killed her family as well. Why doesn't she hate him?" Then Peter says that she probably does but Thanos was the only family she had. Drax then goes quite.

Wait.. Rocket seemed to help him with that email. That's strange.
When I sent Drax to go get advice from Rocket, apparently Rocket sent him away and was extremely mean to him?
Does Drax send this message either way, or do you you need him on Rocket's good side?

Turns out that the music clip that plays in Episode 1 after Peter makes his speech (the epic superhero-pose one) was a short version. The real one is much longer.
I'm guessing Rocket helped for a bit, then got bored / annoyed: that's what Rocket seemed to imply anyways. He helped Drax a little bit for a short time, then sent him off on a wild goose chase.

During the fight with Thanos, Rocket, who's voiced by Nolan North, repeatedly says the word 'crap', which could be a reference to the Uncharted games, where Nathan Drake, who's also voiced by Nolan North, uses a similar "crap" catchphrase.
Right. He probably wrote that email when he was with Rocket, but after he was shooed-away, Rocket simply sent it for him.
Also, I adore how Drax needed to explain exactly who he was in the 'From' box.
Whenever you're left to wander around, go to Peter's room and look at the "You are AWESOME!!!" Poster bc he does something different every time and it's adorable.
They even reference this in "Transformers Prime", a cartoon which Nolan North voiced main character Smokescreen. In the show he'd constantly say "scrap", which is the Transformers equivalent of "crap".

She seriously didn't want to press that button? If so, that's really cool (yet really scary) how your negative standing in a relationship locks off one path to completing a puzzle. So this means you needed to ask Groot for help in this situation, right?
If you introduce yourself as "Star-Lord, baby" to Mantis the first time you meet her, she will refer to Peter as "Star-Lord Baby" on several occasions during the episode.

I asked her to do it and she ranted at me, and told me to get someone else to do it. Then either I couldn't talk to her anymore (option vanished) or it was the tiny filler conversation with no dialogue options. This was the most negative standing possible - I disagreed with her on every major choice and told her not to call Nebula.
I had to ask Groot to do it, which ended up being pretty cool. Still. That playthrough seems to be the one where everything keeps going wrong for me.
Thankfully she still helped with stuff in episode 3 but since I disagreed with her on the major choice in that episode I'm expecting something else like that to come up again...
Ok, this is a late reply but...

If you talk to the bartender in episode 3, he offers you a drink, if you ask him to surprise you, he gives a drink that makes Peter cough and choke, when he asks the bartender what it was, he calls it the "Pay Your Tab".
Ask him for a "sex on the beach" and he thinks you're actually asking for the act, not the drink. He then gives you some red thing that I have forgotten already.

It really shows how this game has a big depth of choices, and that Telltale has been really looking at them.
And, -- if certain conditions are met -- you get special situations like that. And I find that really cool. That's the perfect kind of tailoring and choices mattering.
I'm sure it really felt like you caused that occurrence and had numerous options beforehand to change it, but did not.
Yeah seriously.

I found this out to, but I'm kinda pedantic and what to exhaust all dialogue that I can lmao.

A similar thing happens with Gamora but it's not as amusing. She eventually says "Peter, you're back.... again."

Oooh, really interesting. Guess the big lug can understand her a bit.
She definitely did not press that button. That was the moment I truly realised I'd f****d up in a long-term major way

I got this after I told Drax that Rocket wanted rid of him so I'm guessing it doesn't make a difference.
Ah, well I didn't check my emails after that, as I had already read all of them, and simply thought there was nothing else to see. Guess I was wrong.
Thanks for showing this off!

Nolan North voices Rocket? Never knew that. I'm probably gonna give Guardians a try now.
Yes, that was superb! The absurdly long list of titles and descriptive language...
Dax is so precious in this game.
No. Either way you get the money. it's more fun with the collector tho.

This poster in the electronics store is a reference to an old ad for a game testing college course but with sunglasses added.
The video it's referencing.
Sumalee Montano (Mantis) voices Montoya and the Blonde at the casino in Batman: The Enemy Within.
If you introduce yourself as "Star-Lord, baby" to Mantis the first time you meet her, she will refer to Peter as "Star-Lord Baby" on several occasions during the episode.
It was really funny. Star-Lord's attempts at flirting in this game always never work just like that.
The guy, Mark Barbolak, who voices Yondu, and some other minor characters, is the guy who does Telltale's Legal. I'm pretty sure.
Yeah seriously.

I didn't even realize there was a bartender I could talk to?!
Well he's right next to Drax not sure how you missed him.
Talked to Drax but never saw anyone around him, might've been just outside of the screen?
Same for me. Never saw a bartender. Probably because I just wasn't looking for one. Mah team is Mah priority
Spoiler tagging the next post, because it'll have a lot of pictures.
