Season 1 unplayable after the 12,9 GB update
Season 1 appears to be broken after the update. I was hopeful since the prologue ran flawlessly compared to the other times. But since the gala and the Dent´s dialog the game just falls apart completely. Blackout, (only sound is fictional so is the menus. I guess I´m lucky my season 2 save is on the cloud already.) I tried to adjust the performance, but nothing works and yes, I have the latest drivers.

I'm incredibly angry right now. After I found no way to import my season 1 save, presumably because I replayed later episodes I started season I again, in order to get a "valid save". But after your 12,9 GB update season 1 suddenly is glitched as hell. Broken animations and sequences and Episode 5 is just unplayable. After being greeted by a "background" only screen after arriving in arkham I was able to proceed by hammering keys and trigger the next sequence. But suddenly the next dialogue with Lady Arkham was bugged again 8no movement, invisible batman). Now I'm unable to proceed, because in the following sequence the game won't accept my key-input so I just die. I wasted a lot of my spare time, to replay I game I played quite often, in order to get a valid save, because you implemented a save game-import-system, which is not accepting a majority of saves (great call by the way) and now I'm still not able to get my save. That is so disappointing and annoying.
OMG Telltale, what have you done with this update? Just check Steamdiscussions, so many having big Problems with this. Do me a favour and delete this update (I didn´t download it after I seen These massive complaints). But steam won´t let me start without update. Read forumthreads at steam and make this unhappen. Thanks
If anyone's putting off downloading this update because of the problems above, but you still want to play, try launching the game directly through the .exe where it's installed. You might have to suspend the update in Steam first, then exit Steam, then launch it through the .exe, idk. It's just a random solution I ran into, though I'm not sure if it'll work for everyone.
Or you could just use the backstory creator. Do some research next time before spending your precious time.
Same thing happen to me. It wiped out all of my choices that I have to start playing the game all over again, but as I did the game became a complete mess with alot of broken animation that I had to reboot the game. Sometimes the screen turned black until I press random buttons for the next scene. And then the Cloud Save ended up being worse that I have to keep on refreshing it. Which some parts didn't end up getting imported to the second season
I got a 9 gb update for season 1 and havent face any problems yet. My sister finished all of episodes after the update and she didnt have any problems. In fact, it solved my import problem. I can import my save file now without any difficulty.
It has nothing to do with a lack of research, I saw the option, but it is no valid option for me.
I want my Batman, not a 9 Q&A-Batman. A game series "tailored" by my playstyle and choices
should include my choices...
That's all the major decisions there. Anyhow, it's not my problem that you chose not to and come over here and complain about it.
Well, as I said before: I want my minor descisions, too. But you're obviously unable or unwilling to see my point.
Why shouldn't I use an official forum to complain about bugs or non-functional mechanics, eludes me. Maybe other people experience the same problem, maybe someone found a workaround, maybe a dev answers... Or are in your opinion only certain parts of the range of possibilities of forum-use should be utilised - only praise, only discussion... ?
Complaining about other people's posts, while you display a highly disregarding, dismissive and lofty attitude, is a great way to make a forum enjoyable. Thanks for your effort!
The minor decisions do not carry over, that's that. Developers cannot and shouldn't accustom to such things because this is purely your own wish. It does not in any way affect your new season other than the major decisions.
Yeah...it is nuts, before the update...I ran this like a champ. Now it sucks. And season 2 which is more detailed...runs amazingly well.
It just boggles the mind.
I ended up purchasing and playing season 1 on my PS4 after unsuccessfully performing its demanding new engine on my outdated PC. So naturally, I purchased S2 on the PS4 as well. Unfortunately, importing my save did not want to take, despite the support page's info guide stated that it should be recognized easily if played on the same system (as it had with previous telltale games). I really want to play this new season on my imported save, so I'm wishing Telltale is hard at work to fix this problem.
Can confirm this. My system with all drivers are up to date. As soon as the gala starts, black screen is all I see.
It hasn't happened to me.
Luckily i had my save imported to the enemy within before the update appeared, but the thing that annoys me is Telltale can't even address the issue for those who are having problems.
I replayed through the whole season 1 a few days ago. No issues here.
