To be fair...they aren't great games, but pretty damn good stories. I think they are improving on the game play department little by little, so that's something, but it's not their main focus any longer which is fine.

...seriously its his choice, Telltale Games don't appeal to everyone, but honestly I think if he tried the recent episodes for Batman and Guardians he might see things have gotten better. If it's a question of too many at once? That I can respect, given how much people like him, Markiplier and Jackspetieye play. They're more focused on big in development sandbox games which need their faces for support and horror games for their faces to freak out on... and support.
I'm assuming it's this one. He's still streaming so you can't rewind it just yet to hear him say it.
Awwww to bad I actually enjoyed seeing his reactions to the games. I at least wanted him to play on he final season of TWD. I hope he realizes telltale is improving.

My kids watch him all the time. I personally don't get him, but I understand why he is popular. The thing is he plays all kinds of games. The quality of those games range from crap to great. So when he makes a comment like this about a very popular series that gets him a lot of views, I immediately assume there is money involved in some way. Not sure if he is paid to play games (a game he plays, especially a smaller one, can get a huge boost) but if at one time he was paid to play telltale games, or if he is now asking and was told no, I can see him bashing them.
If he honestly thinks the games are crap now, if anything it plays into his style of lets play...so I am calling bull on this one..
Good point. I am sure he will play Season 4 as I think it is what gave him that boost to where he is today. But i could be wrong also
I have not enjoyed many of his lets plays lately...he gets bored with all types of games fast....Jacksepticeye has replaced him as my no 1.
But the thing is he off handedly said it on a stream. If he made a whole video with a title like "TELLTALE IS SHIT NOW" then yeah, it could be about the views, but as it is I think he just said his honest opinion.
If we're being honest it's hard to tell if Pewdiepie likes any games.

Batman season 2 had a great first episode. It's the first silver lining Ive seen in some time.

which sucks bc minecraft s1 was sorta fun imo. Wish telltale would slow with the releases and focus on quality games instead of tryna push em out as fast as they can.

Huh. Didn't ever expect Felix to voice an opinion of the sort. Not surprised, I mean people have been realizing the declining quality of Telltale left and right, just wasn't sure he'd ever say anything like it.
my favorite story moment in telltale so far is where none of the choices mattered and the hastily killed off good characters just for shock value and drama

Pewdiepie's playthroughs of The wolf among us and the walking dead are the reasons why I discovered Telltale games in the first place but even though I like Felix as a person, he is oblivious to details and he is very distracted when playing story based games. He can forget some important elements of the story. Many people have expressed their frustration about it. He did that with several telltale games and Undertale. He is very intelligent but easily bored when it comes to games and he needs constant stimulation to stay focused on the story. One thing important when playing choice based games, story games and games that rely on the ''illusion of choices'', as many like to say, is immersion.
Cryaotic is easily immersed in everything he plays. Swingpoynt is dedicated, he will play the same episode numerous times and the differences that seem insignificant to most will affect him greatly because he thinks playing Telltage games is about ''feelings'' and ''different experiences'' not necessarily of how many characters you managed to keep alive and how the story ends. Uberhaxornova might disagree with Swingpoynt and focus on ''bigger'' outcomes ( that's why he says ''choices don't matter in telltale games'' ) but he keeps playing them because he is insanely attentive to details and still interested in the ''role playing'' side of those games. Jacksepticeye is a very empathic person so I think it's obvious why he would care for those games and their characters.
Pewdiepie is great at making story games ''funny'', if you share his humor, but the more he makes funny remarks of serious situations the more it's a bad sign as it means he is lowkey not immersed enough. I wouldn't recommend Pewdiepie to play Dream Daddy for example.
When he played Uncharted 4 if the landscapes weren't enough to attract him the game play was. When he played Until Dawn, constant focus was mandatory to ensure survival, everything from the story to the gameplay was balanced well enough for someone like him; And of course Player unknown works for him as he is constantly involved and needs to ''think'' continuously.
It was obvious he would say that about Telltale games at one point... Telltale games have made some significant progress and they are being audacious with some of their most recent work but it's not for everyone.
It's his opinion, no need for people to start hating on him. I understand why he thinks that too.

I was never impressed with the Resident Evil franchise but when Resident Evil HD Remaster came free on Playstation Plus, I was starting to get attached to the other games.

It seemed like his main complaint was Telltale just keeps rushing out new ips, trying to get them out as fast as possible, lowering the quality, instead of Telltale just working with IPs they had and taking their time to truly make something great.
