Pewdiepie: "Telltale makes sh*t games" "I'm so done with them"

  • He continuously displayed his hatred for ANF and Telltale in general during ANF. He even played later episodes days/weeks later because he simply didn't care. I expect his last Telltale game to be S4 but I don't expect him to upload it quickly.

Haha! yeah right... I bet he is gonna play the final season of TWD the same day it's going to be released.

  • Hey, don't forget Swingpoynt, he is a huge fan of them and likes them no matter what.

itsreal85gaming is the king of telltale games anyways

  • itsreal85 is a legend lmao did you see his TWAU playthrough? damn savage

  • I don't blame him for that but to be honest, I think over the years that Pewdiepie's channel has joined them.

I agree with poods 100%. I deleted Games of thrones after the first episode because it was a damn chore to play. the dialogue was cringeworthy (hate that word) and it all seemed so half-assed. and no offence, but the main character sounded like he had a mental disability. lmao rip telltale

  • Still don't understand why he's "famous".

  • From who he is right now, I think it would have been better if he deleted his channel for real after hitting 50 million subs.

  • His girly yell and swedish dialect? He also used to be likable, though I feel the fame and money has gone to his head a lot these days. I find Markiplier and Jack much more likable.

  • because he made shitty pandering content for little idiot kids for 5 years straight and then evolved into a competent content creator with amazing editing skills and genuinely funny jokes for teenagers and young adults. kinda similar to what pendleton ward did with adventure time.

  • I personally disagree as the same could be applied to a television series and opinions on those type of topics are subjective.

but pretty damn good stories. my favorite story moment in telltale so far is where none of the choices mattered and the hastily killed off good characters just for shock value and drama

  • as the same could be applied to a television series

so???????????? of course it can be applied to television series. as it can be with non choice based games, films and fucking books. every piece of story telling media can make a shitty story where a good character is killed off in a poor way for shock and drama.

And he makes shit videos now

  • Just wondering, are you implying that the videos he made before (let's play amnesia era stuff) were better than his current content?

Exactly. The complaints aren't just directed at Telltale, it's common idea and shock value is a tactic in pretty much every form of media. Not everyone is going to live forever. For a source material like walking dead or thrones it's a common occurrence for a character to kick the bucket, the only difference is you deciding when said character does. It's been handled poorly in some characters but it's not fair to say everyone suffers the same fate. Just because a character does die doesn't mean your choice wasn't justified you got to experience path de-similar to someone else. I understand being discouraged but imo it enhanced my experience in this illusion of choice. I'm in it for the ride.

  • Exactly. The complaints aren't just directed at Telltale,

except i am directing these complaints at telltale. just like i'm directing the same kinds of complaints at iron fist, and the bye bye man, and the walking dead.

Not everyone is going to live forever.

nobody said that??? i was just literally stating that 90% of telltale game deaths are weightless and fuck up the story??????

For a source material like walking dead or thrones it's a common occurrence for a character to kick the bucket, the only difference is you deciding when said character does.

except it's not, like, at all.

and i'm fine with characters dying, but when it's really well written characters with potential being killed off in dumbshit pissbaby ways, i'm allowed to call it out.

It's been handled poorly in some characters but it's not fair to say everyone suffers the same fate.

i think you and i played completely different versions of ANF if you think it's "not fair" of me to say that everyone suffers a shitty poorly written death. okay, i'll give you the benefit of the doubt, MAYBE you were talking about season 1, or wolf among us, or game of thrones, or, you know, a good telltale game. but i was referring to shitty telltale games and the shitty deaths in the good telltale games. i never once made the overly generalized statement that all characters suffer the same fate in fact if anything in my JOKE comment i was way too vague, which is what you SHOULD be criticizing me for instead of putting words in my mouth lol.

Just because a character does die doesn't mean your choice wasn't justified you got to experience path de-similar to someone else.

except for the times when a character dies and it does render my choice and everything about it completely void and pointless.

I understand being discouraged but imo it enhanced my experience in this illusion of choice. I'm in it for the ride.

and i am very truly happy that you are enjoying these games, and it's not my intention to force anyone to dislike these games. if you love it i'm very happy as all i want is for other people to find enjoyment in something even with how short and meaningless our lives are in the grand scheme of things. however it will always be my intention to let people know that these problems i'm preaching out don't just not exist. they're there and to gloss over them and give them excuses is pointless to me and encourages the writers to make the same mistakes. there are plenty of games and films and shows i love to bits, yet i'll still criticize. because criticism gives the artist creating the thing you love so much a chance to improve. i fucking LOVE telltale's earlier stuff, hell to an extent i love some of the stuff their modern games do, which is why i criticize their dumb bullshit so much. i want them to improve man. all i want people to know is that it's okay to criticize objectively dumb things and still love what you're criticizing.

i dunno man, fuck i'm tired. i've been at work for 2 weeks

If you're upset with new frontier say that instead of playing it like all telltale games are like that. Improvements are being made and feedback is being noticed.

Just not a fan of newer episodes with fan feedback are being with drawled. It's hard to tell anymore on this site what is a joke response or passive aggressive anger so apologies.

After following the company for 5 years, the man just told his 51 million die hard followers that telltale sucks and they make shit games. 51 MILLION. Telltale doesnt even have one million followers on twitter.

But no everything must be fine because its just his opinion rite?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1!!1!!!!

Oh noes, one significant Youtube person doesn't like Telltale, the horror! Raise the gates! FIRE EVERYTHING! ...seriously its his choice,

  • Same as your opinion, probably. People are allowed to have opinions different from others you know, we're not sheep. Telltale Games are probably very different to the sorts of games he prefers playing and streaming. In a sandbox game like Let's Players tend to do, there's a much greater range of things which can happen and so a greater chance for comedy and reaction.

The moment when he says "When your keyboard is louder than Brad's voice......... For fuck's sake." He was reading my comment. (38:04) :joy:

I'm assuming it's this one. He's still streaming so you can't rewind it just yet to hear him say it.

  • Regardless of how you feel about the guy, he has millions of views on every video he makes and has influence over countless potential customers. It's bad for Telltale that he said this but sadly what he said isn't untrue.
