Who did try to kill Batman at the end of season 1?
I still didn’t get it, I think it was suppose to be the Joker but it doesn’t seem to be the case

I thought it was made that way to show us that some people still hated Bruce because of his whole father business.
I might be wrong but as I remember it was it not one of the thugs who attacked Selina and Bruce at the bar... one of penguins men. Just a retaliation after what happened between Bruce and Oswald?
I have a feeling that will be addressed in the Batman: Sins of the Father comic.

But if you go as Batman the guy still tries to kill Gordon.
Most likely a disgruntled employee of the Arkham Children.
I guess it was just some thug, probably an ex-penguin thug.
However, I still dont like how John's reaction to the attack is seemingly forgotten in season 2.
His whole personality in season 1 is forgotten in season 2. It took a bit for me to adjust but the story was good enough that I had to let it go. ...Mostly... I mostly let it go.
Eh, it was probably some random criminal causing chaos. I think it was just there to show that not all is still right with Gotham. Also, I believe the attack was meant for the commissioner rather than Bruce/Batman. High profile event, Gordon's official promotion, it's a perfect time to get your 15 minutes of fame...
I took a look at it and I would say that its the same guy who worked for Oswald/Penguin.
(Bar scene: Season 1 ep 2)
(Press conferance scene: Season 1 ep 5)
About the motive, we can just guess as we don't know for sure but it's not too hard to predict what it could be about.
Or telltale is just re using character models
It is obviously reused, I guess we should just assume it was one of Penguin's thugs because Telltale just assumes reusing assets for what was a Penguin Thug should mean it was a penguin thug
I think it's just a random thug attack. John said "It's gonna be hard to top that but I'll take a shot." so it kinda confirms that it was a random thug attack for attention/chaos and Joker want sto do something even better.
Though his whole personality is different than Season 1(for the better to be honest).
When I first saw that guy, I just assume it was Moroni from the comics.
Genius spotted.
no one significant. just a cause cos of the choice you made between bruce or batman attending. it also allowed telltale to tease joker being more important in season 2.
