  • True, he didn't go screaming NOOOO when Brie died.

Speaking of which, Glenn could've just been Doug. Yep, we already heard how Doug had the "hero syndrome" when he saved Carley, so hi

  • Why because of the weird little mention of her thinking Doug is cute?

    That too.

Hell, they'd make a better pairing than lee (who fits better with lilly).

Kinda get the feeling that's how it was meant to be at one point.

What was the point of that anyway?

What, Carley not wanting to help Irene?

He was a main character for the first couple volumes, then he faded into the background. He was kinda set up to be the main character's best friend or right hand guy, and then he just slowly got less and less important. But yeah, the game does connect pretty decently to the comic in regards to his character.

Sounds like Mark, Luke, Kate, and debatably Tripp. Damn.
I thought he lasted quite a while and had kid at some point?

well he gets one if you talk to carley first.

    I guess.

Yeah, can you tell we've discussed this game too much? I'm scraping the bottom here.

This game was out since the world ended and had quite a bit of attention to detail and nuance involved within and around the main story elements. Of course there's still stuff to talk about, even on the fringe-.

And Carley being against helping Irene would have more correlation as well. Why because of the weird little mention of her thinking

  • I just hope it’s darker as the first and second season that’s what I really hope for.

    That too.

Well, what was the other reason?

Kinda get the feeling that's how it was meant to be at one point.

Well, it wouldn't have amounted to much if Lilly was always meant to leave in episode 3. Maybe Katjaa would have asked Lee if he was fond of her insead of carley.

What, Carley not wanting to help Irene?

"you guys are suicidal... over a girl" that was a weird line. It makes it sound like she's ashamed of being a damsel in distress, even though she got rescued by Doug. Or maybe she doesn't identify as a girl? :smirk:
but no, I mean the mention of Carley "crushing" on Doug.

I thought he lasted quite a while and had kid at some point?

yeah he lasted until issue 100 where he was killed. He started getting more page-time just before his death, too. Just like the games do with characters.

As for the kid, he and Hershel's daughter Maggie adopted an orphan (Sophia) of a dead group member. Maggie and Sophia are still alive, I think.

  • Well, what was the other reason?

I'm honestly blanking a bit at the moment, but I believe it was because it would help contrast Doug's personality with hers and further characterize him in practice.
Cause honestly, other than the fact that he saved her and they liked each other, there's no correlation or conflict between the two, making the major, iconic choice seem random and potentially typical(?) as is.

Well, it wouldn't have amounted to much if Lilly was always meant to leave in episode 3.

Again, I believe that was kinda the point.
If you consistently side with Kenny, you're siding with an actual successful family man with a loving wife and son who's willing to do what he has to for them, effectively becoming his best friend and the guy who's got his back throughout the entire journey.
If you side with Lily, however(under this thought process), you're siding with a troubled woman who often comes off as brusque despite her intention to keep the entire group safe and has apparently been trying to earn her father's open approval all her life, effecting becoming the one person she felt she could trust and a star-crossed lover due to her nervous breakdown.

Maybe Katjaa would have asked Lee if he was fond of her insead of carley.

    Probably.

    ...Yeah. ...Yeah.

but no, I mean the mention of Carley "crushing" on Doug.

To fully reciprocate the feeling that no matter which one you saved, they're gonna feel hurt that the other couldn't have made it as well and show that an unfortunately sacrifice call had to be made in the heat of the moment.
Also, perhaps as another way of having the hypercompetent chick attitude wane for a
moment to show a softer, sentimental(?) side.

    It Was His Sled

    Oh damn, a milestone!
Yeah, that's how those things tend to be handled/written.

As for the kid, he and Hershel's daughter Maggie adopted an orphan (Sophia) of a dead group member. Maggie and Sophia are still alive, I think.

    Oh....
Is Sophia the one who [didn't] lick Carl's eye?

The one who licked his eye was Lydia, the 16 year old girl.

Is Sophia the one who [didn't] lick Carl's eye?

Uh...yeah. Though the artist isn't so great at different faces, so I assumed it was her when I first saw the page. I also saw some people that actually follow the comic discussing the potential of a love triangle there. Hoo boy. Exciting.
...Oh my God, I just remembered they actually made a TOY of the eye-socket licking girl. Kirkman is messed up.

Yeah, Sophia was around for the entire series, but does she get an action figure? Nope.

  • I know! It's even crazier that I forgot to mention this because I've actually seen this figure at my local comic book store. (never saw any clems or lees, though)

Makes me think that Kirkman has some weird priorities if he wanted an action figure made of her...

Somebody that refers to things as "satanic" and "not christian" should probably know that suicide is a sin. It seems silly.
