That's what I've been saying but no one wants to believe it.
It's unlikely they're cannibals because if they were they'd have just taken all 4 of the kids they ran across instead of letting the boy and oldest, feistiest girl go. Furthermore, Abel would have just nabbed Violet outside and took off with her without anyone knowing what happened. Clem and AJ would come out and she'd just be gone. Louis wouldn't have seen anything since he was preoccupied with walkers. She would have just disappeared as far as anyone was concerned. The only thing that makes sense is slavery, likely sex slavery.
That’s what I thought originally but then when Brody revealed Marlon was gonna give up Clem AND AJ that’s when I figured it might be something else. Not trying to discriminate (I’m even a male) but usually the males are the rapists, so I don’t get why they would want AJ.
If the raiders wanted normal slavery they'd have taken Brody or maybe Marlon Because they could carry heavy objects and such. I doubt they needed a nurse and chef. And even if they did it's likely to have happened anyway as prisoners. It's not like these Raiders are Negan's Saviors.

My first assumption regarding the raiders was exactly this scenario. And while AJ is male, he's also a young boy and young boys can also be victims. I don't know if Telltale would go there with a group of teens but as shown by Lydia, this isn't far removed from the source material.
[ETA] I also have some concerns about this theory because there are a lot of theories that the returning character is involved with this group, and a lot of people (including myself) think the returning character is Lilly. I don't know whether Lilly would be okay with sexual slavery, but I guess people can change or maybe she doesn't know the extent? IDK
Seriously though, Marlon probably just considers Clem and AJ a package deal. AJ was shithead and handful while Clem was out. Imagine how bad he'd have been if she wasn't ever coming back.

Lilly has been stuck in canon limbo for a while because her backstory was supposed to be that of game!Lilly and then Kirkman wrote some novels that contradicted that entire backstory. I think legally, this Lilly is different than comic Lilly because of that novel series...but I'm not sure.
Yes you're right. Game Lily is different than comic Lily because even though the original plan was for game Lily to be comic Lily, Kirkman wrote those Governor novels and through the backstory of his comic/novel Lily, he killed any possibility of them being the same Lily.

But Tenn's sisters are revealed to be older than him, and it's also shown that they are in the photo album.
Not saying this Lydia-esque theory lacks validity, but I don't think it matters what age the victims are to the raiders. It was implied that this kidnapping was prearranged by Marlon prior to the hunt. Can't prove it yet, but future episodes will reveal if Violet already knew about the deal.
Regardless of the decision tree, she doesn't seem phased by learning they aren't dead. Aasim is one of the few displaying the kind of outrage that I expected from Violet.

Telltale does follow Kirkman canon (this game is literally set in the comic book world) it's just comic Lilly is not the same person as Telltale's Lilly.
Yeah, I got that vibe too. At first I was leaning towards cannabilsim but It would be pretty odd for them to pick the 2 young girls (less meat) and also only take 2 in a whole year (not enough food to sustain them for the entire year that Minnie and Sophie have been dead. Tenn says they have been dead a whole year at the table. So they would have gone hungry by now unless those girls were Ruby and Brie size.
Theirs really only 3 reason's you'd want people in the zombie apocolypse.
For food (St John)
For slavery. (Carver)
For help (How Clem's groups work, more is better to fight off walkers ect..)
With the first already ruled out, You'd assume if it was work type of slavery they'd pick strong, fully grown men like Louis or Assim or just take them all as they are outgunned Carver style. And if they really wanted some powerful help with protection, killing walkers or just some more numbers you'd think they'd pick some guy like Mitch or Assim who are amazing hunters or again just take them all, Carver style.

You haven't heard of men touching little boys inappropriately? Some sickos prefer boys. A large percentage actually. Look at catholic preisthood for example. Not to open that can of worms or anything. But AJ could definitely be a victim or bargaining token for a pedophile group too if one does turn out to exist.
I don't know what to think about the theory so far. But I can't see why they'd want them otherwise. Manual labor would be more for the older and more strong members like Mitch. Eating them as food on Some St John stuff wouldn't explain only 2 captures in a one year span. Unless the girls were fat af. Maybe something will reveal itself in episode 2.

Perhaps they wanted to provide them with food and safety...perhaps these are GOOD raiders...yeah...never thought about that did you? Ok I think not either...those girls were either food or used for fun sadly.

I would have to assume the raiders took the girls for reproductive purposes. But I still have to ask myself why Brody wasn't taken as Well. Violet said Brody took her place . So I'd have to assume Marlon saved Brody from being taken.

No violet didn't know the girls were going to be taken. She was just going to be part of the hunting party with the two girls and Marlon. But she wanted to stay behind instead and asked Brody to take her place. If she was there with the girls she would have been taken as well. My question is why did Marlon not have Brody taken because Brody was with them?
I suspect Marlon and Brody were an item so he wouldn't let them take her and rather than fight and possibly lose all of them, the raiders settled for the 2 younger girls.

Is it bad that my first reaction to this is that it might be worse?

Pretty much.
Though I kinda have to wonder why they'd take Violet.

Yes, and? I don't think I said they weren't older than Tenn. I'm guessing the twins are about the same age as Violet, who seems to be about 15 or 16 maybe. idk. Brody is still the oldest girl there. I think her, Marlon, and Louis are the oldest, followed by Violet, Aasim, and maybe Mitch... and the twins when they were still there.

I keep wondering if the Trade was a pre-arranged or just a "Hunting trip gone wrong".
I don't think the raider group would've just taken the twins if they had just crashed into Marlon and the others. I think they would've killed Marlon and taken the rest because letting Marlon and Brody go back would be quite risky considering they and their group could potentially attack.
I think it was a pre-arranged deal (which would make Marlon's actions even worse) where Violet was also supposed to be traded along with Minnie but since she opted to stay, she avoided that fate. I'm not sure why Brody wasn't taken instead but I'm guessing Marlon was fonded of her enough to save her.
I hope we learn about the Trade more in upcoming episodes

I know are you saying bandits would just say "a hole is a hole"? Violet is more attractive. Plus if you are crude about it it's easier to talk about than Actually thinking about it as a real thing.
Well if I am crude about it then I would agree with you that Violet is more attractive but I'm pretty sure "a hole is a hole" applies with these bandits.

I thought it was obvious since what other reason would a group of shitty raiders take two young girls?
That's what I've been saying but no one wants to believe it.

Maybe some of them are catholic priests lol

If TTG follows kirkman Canon Lily is with the survivors of The Prison/Woodbury. Hopefully she's a better leader than the Governor.
Lilly has been stuck in canon limbo for a while because her backstory was supposed to be that of game!Lilly and then Kirkman wrote some novels that contradicted that entire backstory. I think legally, this Lilly is different than comic Lilly because of that novel series...but I'm not sure.

So Brody did lick Marlon's hole?
I think in this case it would be Violet's(Carl) hole getting licked by Minnie (Lydia)

Honestly I don’t think Lilly would be okay with that.. maybe she doesn’t know about the girls?? Either way this whole thing rubs me the wrong

Sadly it doesn't leave much on the table....
carl was gonna be raped before rick went walker on the leader, its caled pedophilla

It is that situation. I find it weird how Lilly would associate herself with such "people" but w'ell see.
Perhaps they wanted to provide them with food and safety...perhaps these are GOOD raiders...yeah...never thought about that did you? Ok I think not either...those girls were either food or used for fun sadly.
Lol yeah it can't turn out to be anything good because if it was, the girls would likely have lead them to the school to help the other kids.

I suspect the raiders wanted the more feminine girls for obvious reasons.
...
To be fair, all we really learned is that walkers didn't kill them.
And Assim clearly had a beef with Marlon to begin with.
You set yourself up for that.
Eeeeenrh...you're not in the wrong field of thought...

Bandit: hi we're going to take these two girls who are your friends but you have no connection to.
Brody and marlon: please don't kill us!
Bandit: were going to take your girlfriend.
Violet: I'll fucking kill you!
If violet had gone with Marlon she definitely wouldn't have been coming back.
I keep wondering if the Trade was a pre-arranged or just a "Hunting trip gone wrong".

From a physical perspective who'd you rather? Violet or Brody?
Both, at the same time.
facepalm
Jesus Christ man, were talking about rape here...
