Developers, do not make Clem's death the only final of the game

I never felt anything like this - this game is truly masterpiece! But damn, im too emotional and i wont be able to deal with Clem's death, even when i understand its just game. Please, make it optional, make it possible for her to stay alive and maybe we will even see her in future Walking Dead games, that would be great.
Thanks for good games, we need more like these in modern days of game industry!
By the way, will appreciate to know if there are any games like this i should play too?

I don’t think they will just kill clem I’m pretty certain she will survive or the more than likely option that it will be determined if AJ and clem either both die, survive or just one of them dies and the other survives

  • Telltale should make just one (but good) ending. Just like with season 1.

  • I hope the game diverges like telltales batman did. Episode 4 would be completely different from start to finish depending on previous choices. That would make determinant endings feel much more natural and not just a 'one choice decides whether she lives or dies'.

  • I doubt they would be that predictable, that would just be bad.

  • It sounds a bit crazy, but im really into this game and i will be glad to know that there is way to let her be alive. Doesnt matter that much if i can do this, but if its possible at all.

  • Are you saying S1's ending isn't good?

  • This. Quality over quantity. Besides, if Clem ends up in the comics, people will just say that Kirkman ruined her. Don't overdo her. Let her be at peace.

  • If Clementine does die it won't have anywhere near the emotional weight and proper sendoff it should from the excessive hysteria and severe anticipation.

That's part of what made Lee's death so impactful is that it was a genuine surprise and unexpected fate of a character we came to know and love.

  • Yes, but there’s a difference between a character we’ve known for one game and a character we’ve known for six and a half years.

  • Doesn't matter if it's 10-20 years when you have the overhypobeolized excessive hysteria and speculation of a character's death that will remove a degree of genuine shock and emotion from it. Its like expecting to lose a family member opposed to a sudden death in the family.

For those 6 years of Clementine's story there has been speculation of her death since S2 (2014) and it's been kicked into over drive X10 in S4.

  • I honestly thought there would be multiple endings were Clementine would live in some until...

someone spoiled the episode 4 trophies/achievements...

  • Wait What are the trophies/achievements for epsiode 4?

I honestly thought there would be multiple endings were Clementine would live in some until... (Spoiler)

  • Yea and Telltale went a bit... overboard with the names of the achievements/trophies. If you want to know them you can find them easily but I would warn you that they spoil a lot more then you think so be careful.

  • It's not guaranteed. Clem may or may not die. I've heard there are 4 endings to episode 4. Which would make sense - Clem dies, AJ djes, Both die, Both live. Now Telltale did say that this was an end to Clementine's story. I just wanna say that it's gonna be so emotional as I've grown with her along in these seasons. However, Telltale do know that millions of people love Clem. So there's a possibility that she doesn't die. And as it's been confirmed that in episode 2 she has sex with whoever you appealed to in the ending of episode 1 - if u appealed with Louis u have sex with him, if u appealed with Violet, u have sex with her - the being might be that she continues with her family and becomes a mom (this is just an additional guess for the ending).

  • Spelling error - the ending

  • I haven’t seen all of them because I try to avoid them but some people mention them in comments and I’m really active on the forums and Reddit, I guess I can share the ones I know...

One in episode 2 heavily hints at a romance scene, Rosie will live until episode 3 because she has an achievement for ep 2 and 3, and here’s the big one for episode 4 so MEGA SPOILERS AHEAD... I read a comment that stated their are achievements in ep 4 called ‘Come full Circle’ and ‘Goodbye’... put two and two together and well... you get the idea...

  • Well it depends on what you classify as a spoiler, it’s diffrent for everyone. But dude...

The episode 4 achievements... I mean the ones I saw basically hinted hard at Clem’s death.

  • The interesting thing is that those achievements are not story achievements (Acts) but the secret/optional ones like Use all the traps or tickle AJ in the first episode.

  • Damn, that ost "waiting around to die" was also used in "Breaking Bad". What an interesting situation, i miss it too

  • i really don't want some boring "happily ever after ending" like that one in anf where its only david that dies, it makes it rubbish tbh, want something sad and memorable

  • Which means her death won't be scripted and the only ending there is.

  • Just so you know, those achievements especially the ones you think mean Clem dies, arnt spoilers. Those are secret achievements, and they are also listed chronologically, so unless Clem dies before saying she will never leave and finding her hat (which doesnt make sense) you're all good homie.

  • Yeah, why do people play a Walking Dead game if they want a happy ending? Complete antithesis of the theme of series.

If this is indeed Clem's final season, Telltale should follow through on that.

Leaving her alive and well will just bring up annoying speculation as to whether she makes cameos and shit for years on end.

  • Not saying it isn't, but it isn't the same as an abrupt death that was unforeseen.

Expecting to lose a family member is still incredibly sad.

  • The title says "final", I think they used it specifically to highlight the end is loud and clear. With another branched out ending fans would never stop asking for a continuation - and honestly it wouldn't be fair to leave them hanging. So I don't think they will risk dragging this on and on without one solid close-up.

  • Well they did say the final season - of Clementines story. They must plan to make more. The name of the season is stupid though

  • This achievement names are too vague to make something out of it. The first one can be anything really, for example Clem mentioning her hamster again, ya know, the one which escaped and ate bunch of cookies. Full circle done and dusted. The second one can also mean anything, goodbyes aren't always definite death. There are happy goodbyes too.

I haven’t seen all of them because I try to avoid them but some people mention them in comments and I’m really active on the forums and Reddit, I guess I can share the ones I know... (Spoiler)

  • I don't see the point of her living honestly. Sending her off, like a final farewell goodbye, would be more impactful and emotional. If she's still alive then the series would feel so open and its the final season of Clem's story. If she dies then its giving the series closure.

I feel like the choices you make this (and maybe even the previous seasons) determines how she dies.

Telltale likes to give everyone the same overall result of each season (I think its so everyone can have a fair ending)

Season 1: Lee still dies, No matter what
Season 2: Clem will eventually be alone, no matter what ending you got
Season 3: Clem will still leave Richmond, no matter what ending you ended up with
