I would turn around and go away from that WEIRD person.
I'd tell them that everyone is entitled to a stupid wrong opinion and that it's fine.
Well an inteligent person has a reason to hate something or someone. In the first 2 seasons she didn't really do anything to be hated about. In Season 3 she was rude multipile times, but still it doesn't even place her in TOP 20 most hated characters from the game. If we talk about Comic Series and TV series also then it doesn't even place her in TOP 75.
I would tell them that I don't blame them. As her character has pretty much become nothing of what it used to be, and has been a huge waste of time, because of that.
I would go up to them and engage in a reasonable and civil debate regarding our opposing opinions. This exchange of ideas is how we not only come to a better understanding of the other side's views and helps us see them in a much more positive manner, not just as someone who we disagree with, but also serves to strengthen my own convictions and viewpoints. It also encourages further research and perspective on the subject and may enlighten me to a new way of thinking that I had not considered. Forcefully shutting down another person's believe is wrong in all forms, no matter the view or how much I think it's wrong.
I used to think there were no wrong opinions but....now....
I wouldn't care. Clem is too awesome for them to understand.
People often hate people that remind them of themselves in some way, so I might really like this person. I don't know how I would respond to be honest, I'd probably both hug and slap the person in one fell swoop.
I know a friend who doesn’t like her. His whole reasoning behind it is he basically just hates kids in TWD and thinks they all act dumb. I personally don’t see how you could hate Clem in the first two seasons sense in S1 she was only 8 (and is more self reliant then many other 8 year old girls) and in S2 you literally play as her and chose what she does. ANF is where it gets kinda shady, I could understand if someone doesn’t like what she’s become. But you should like her in S4 sense you play as her again, and chose what she does.
Curl up in a ball and pretend i'm far away
Yep.
Remember that torture scene from GTA 5...
Can't tell if you're serious or not, but I hope you're just joking
Honestly I'll just REEEEEEEEE
I mean, it would be more weird if she didnt change at all. She was 8 when the thing started, now she is like 14? 16? Her character evolution has been pretty natural (Except for some cases of being downright dumb in season 2)
I would ask why and dependent on their response I'd argue or understand the point they made
Admittedly, that does seems rather weird, but I'd probably just ask them why that is, if I'm/they're curious/approachable enough.
True.
Holy shit, maturity!
Eugh...
Tell me, if you were to change Clem's name, appearance, and history, would this character remind you of Clementine? Who or what made her turn into this character that constantly swears, lies, robs people at gun point, kills people without any remorse, having an edgy outlook on life, etc. etc. with little explanation, if any? Lee & Kenny sure didn't change her to be like this. Did she meet someone in the alone ending that caused her to be like this? Did Jane do this to her in the span of no more than a month, before she killed herself? That's the only logical thing that I can think of, and if that's the case, it's a major stretch, because that route is determinant, happens in a very short amount of time, and makes the other routes completely pointless.
I hardly ever joke on here, and when I do, I make it plainly obvious.
Honestly, they probably could've put Mariana, Ava, or maybe even fuckin Becca in her place and gotten a stronger, more cohesive story out of it.
I really wish they did more with Shel & Becca. That story was the first one I chose when I first played 400 Days.
Some here. They just looked inherently more "interesting" then the others, who were a little too eclectic and "My College Days" for my tastes.
I have no idea what any of that is.
Your first game was ANF? Huh, how odd.
Well Telltale did make the game for newcomers.
I thought they made it for comic fans?

I was being partially sarcastic and referring to the initially stated reasoning behind the time skip & ThatPaulGuy's presence in the game.
I don't know how to respond to that. So I'll just leave this.
I thought about this a few days ago for some fuckin reason. Even though I don't even remember the actual context of that scene.
Grim & Mandy were trying to make Billy get over his fear of clowns, by dressing up as them, and it got to the point where Grim angrily shook him, telling him to stop being afraid of clowns.
And it failed so hard you can start TFS right after S2 and not miss a beat. Get over it, and pretend it doesn't exist like most of us are trying to.
Hard to pretend ANF doesn't exist, when Telltale clearly isn't, by having references to it.
But I'll give the benefit of the doubt and ask, is Clem any different than how I described her? Asking cause I've only seen clips of the first episode of TFS, and those clips are not doing her character justice. But I'm assuming you've played the whole episode, and can put in a better word for her.
Damn. I definitely remember that scene too, but didn't remember that it was because of clowns.
That's why Boomerang is so awesome. They play all the late 90's and early 00's shows after midnight.
I had no problem with her, she certainly wasn't all "void in my heart sadface" and "Where's mah bullets MUTHA****A Oops shot you in the face", but that might all come down to how people choose to respond. As far as references go, they mention the ranch but really go into no more detail than that other game did, so you wouldn't really need to play it to know what they're talking about. AJ was there in ANF, Clem and AJ were there prior to TFS.
Talking about the characters isn't much more in depth, either. You can name drop during the card game and talk about Kenny or Lee, she'll talk about your experience in the game with them, out side of them you can ask if they've met anyone famous, and she'll say she met "a baseball player", Gabe gets mentioned as "there was a boy". Pretty sure neither of their names gets mentioned, watched the alternate card scene responses after I finished so it's been some a bit so I might be wrong. Neither one of them came up in my run, though, so I was all good on that front.
That's crazy I was just watching this on YT
I think it was because he was afraid of clowns
Really now? Are there some choices that I'm not aware of that change the way she acts during those scenes?
Alright, alright. Now as long as that leaked information about Clem doesn't go through, in the next episode, perhaps I'll consider giving the season a try... once they release the episodes individually.
