I never wanted Christa back, probably the most boring character they could possibly bring back. SO glad they went with Lilly instead, unless both of them return, but that would be stupid.
I hope at the end of the game she goes back to all the places she's been with AJ and it's got music and stuff and just cuts to show her walking through recognisable locations and maybe she finds her dead body
Having Clem meet up with characters from season one is a risky business. In a world overrun by zombies, with almost every form of long-distance communication destroyed, it'd be almost impossible for someone to run into an old acquaintance from years past. There's a reason why Kenny made the only major comeback (besides Clem herself) in season two; too many returns would strain credulity, not to mention deflate the emotional impact every time such a scene happens. But it's been six years since the release of the first season, and Telltale hasn't brought back any other characters since then, so the time is right for Lily's "resurrection."
As for Christa...I don't know. As I said, having TWO major characters return in the same season is straining credulity. I realize saying this will probably get me lynched by Christa's fans, but I'd only have her appear as a zombie. It would also put the player in the unpleasant position of having to choose whether to shoot Christa or just let her walk away. (Clem could spot her from a safe distance in the midst of a zombie horde, or something.)
That'd be depressing as hell, so maybe the best option is just to leave Christa's fate permanently unknown.
yay for me, the whole point of the game for me is to reunite these two with each other regardless of other characters, im sure if Christa is alive she is still searching for Clementine too,Clem was still asking if Christa was at wellington so it's not like it's suddenly out of her mind,i want seasons ones characters to ride off into the sunset together because then the game sort of feels complete
Not really. Seeing Kenny's treatment in S2&ANF, I think it's best she stays unknown. Plus, I don't see what the point of her coming back would be other than "oh, She's back" only to be killed in 1-2 episodes.

Maybe there is a part of Clem that doesn't want her back. She never really actively searched for her. Could it be that Clem has a abusive upbringing from Christa? I feel that the bitterness of losing Omid maybe cause resentment towards Clem in the two year time skip. Notice, eventhough its been two years, she still doesn't realy speak much to Clem. It's almost as if Clem is a burden or some kind of obligation that she doesn't want. This is probably why Clem doesn't talk about Christa either. I feel that Christa is a bad Ghost in the past for Clem. I believe neither of them had fond memories being together, so it would only hurt Clem talking about her.

Because there is absolutely nothing interesting about her character anymore. She got depressed after Omid's death and that's about it. There's not much to talk about except "Oh Christa you're alive". "Yeah I got away"... there's not much to do with her character anymore, unlike Lilly.
While I would love it, the only chance they had to bring Christa back was at Wellington, since Clem and her were both going there and it would have made logical sense for them to meet there.
