Yeah, the final bosses in the dancing substory were much harder than I expected.
Btw, it is actually easier to beat them on higher difficulties, because then they tend to make more mistakes as well, but of course that's down to rng. You pretty much have to play perfectly on easy.
I'm doing a replay on Yakuza 0 for legend difficulty, which is the hardest, but I did end up doing both disco battle sidequests for Kiryu an… mored Majima. Beating the final guys for each was annoying. For Miss Isobe took me at least 7 tries or more to beat her oof, and this was on easy setting for the disco.
Now that I've beaten both disco bosses for Kiryu and Majima, my body feels like nothing. Probably won't do these again.
I hate that for the disco game you have to be exactly perfect for when you hit the buttons. I tried to normal and hard but my score would be at 4000 or less and the disco bosses would sometimes go up to 7000

Not that it matters now. Enjoy the fans!
For the last 2 weeks, I played Gravity Rush 2. It was so much better than the first game but still not perfect. However, this has to be the MOST underrated Playstation exclusive IP of all time. Sony literally has the opportunities to expand their amazing IPs like this one and InFamous for the modern audience but no, they chose Concord ONLY because of Overwatch's success. And also waste resources on remasters/remakes nobody asked for (Fuck you TLOU, Horizon and Until Dawn).
I've been enjoying Remnant From the Ashes co-op with the kids. Go figure they actually got the hang of it quickly since they play Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. Gosh this generation is growing up with great games. I'm kind of jealous lol
Do people play Yakuza mini games like they play Witcher 3 mini games? Trying to gauge if I would enjoy Yakuza 0. It's been on my wishlist for awhile now but was wondering what the day to day gameplay involves

This was a fun enough. I probably set my expectations too high for a free game due to how incredible Astro Bot was but worth it just for the bonus VIP bots you can unlock for your Crash Site in Astro Bot.
You can easily tell Team Asobi improved so much from this demo.
I can't believe a studio actually made a AAA exploration focused immersive sim-like game with stealth, puzzles, and surprisingly satisfying combat in this day and age. Not only is it a great addition to the adventures of Indiana Jones, but it's also a ridiculously fun game with an incredibly entertaining story and charming cast of characters. Plus you can't go wrong when it comes to beating the crap out of some nazi's. It took me about 36 hours to finish the campaign and complete all but one of the achievements.
The ID Tech engine really is some black magic cause the game runs fairly well even on my ancient hardware, averaging about 30-50 FPS depending on the location on high settings. I've also had a relatively bug free experience outside one that's preventing me from getting the final achievement to 100% the game. I'm not the only one experiencing this issue so hopefully they fix it soon!
I absolutely love this game, easily my GOTY for 2024.
Witcher 3 and Yakuza are completely different games. Both have great stories but everything else is different. For Witcher you have only Gwent, while Yakuza 0 and the rest of Yakuza games have multiple minigames. Yakuza 0 has baseball, fishing, gambling both Japanese and American, disco, mahjong, bowling, and many others. For combat Witcher 3's is very simple with the sword play until you unlock certain skills. Yakuza is a very fun brawler with different playstyles so there are different ways to fight. I've played Witcher 2 and played 3 many times. I've beaten Yakuza 0 and Yakuza Kiwami so now I'm halfway through Yakuza Kiwami 2. If you can, I would suggest just only getting Yakuza 0, to see if it's your type of game to enjoy before getting the other Yakuzas.
Do people play Yakuza mini games like they play Witcher 3 mini games? Trying to gauge if I would enjoy Yakuza 0. It's been on my wishlist for awhile now but was wondering what the day to day gameplay involves
Replayed a PS2 classic, ICO.
Believe it or not, this is a game that changed the industry forever. It doesn't have the best gameplay loop but the representation is very unmatched.
I've been playing Indiana Jones and the Great Circle and I've been having a lot of fun. The gameplay isn't the most complicated, but I have been enjoying the puzzles a lot and the story has thus far been interesting. Great setting too.
I finally started the Miles Edgeworth Ace Attorney.
Is it bad that I suck at these games soo much? It's hard for me to keep every single detail of a crime in mind, thus losing and having to reload the game.
I got Doom (2016) during the Steam spring sale for $2 USD and can't believe I held off on this game for so many years. I'm having so much fun with the weapons and fighting different types of enemies. I'll also play the sequels when they're on sale.
I'm looking around, and I don't think I ever posted this here yet, but...
Does anyone here have The Outlast Trials? It's a co-op multiplayer spinoff to the outlast series, it's actually pretty good adaptation of the typical run-and-hide gameplay, but it's also freaking terrifying . Would love to partner up with someone on this if you're interested (it's crossplay which is neat!)
It's on a good sale on PS until the end of the month. Kind of picked it up on a whim since I've greatly enjoyed the first Outlast (never played the sequel) despite all the terrifying scares, and probably because the game's focus is on hiding and avoiding the monsters rather than facing them head-on, I guess. And I think it's a good game, but mayyybe a bit much for just me heh.
I do warn people that this new entry is as brutal, bloody, gory, as the series has been. The opening cutscene is particularly yikes. The environments usually have lots of blood and limbs scattered about. It's genuinely still unsettling.
But, ah, overall, it's been fun and reassuring to match online with some randoms. I tried doing a mission solo, but it took me over and hour and I was terrified the whole time. Would love to partner up with someone who doesn't mind chatting since I'm just too chicken or untrustworthy of random gamers online to let them hear my squeals and squawks.
Incredible from top to bottom. Mesmerising visuals, wonderfully written characters and narrative, stunning performances from everyone in the cast, and not to mention a wildly satisfying combat system. Not to mention an amazing soundtrack to boot. I haven't had a mind blowing gut punch of an experience like this in a long time. It's a game that just gets more and more compelling the further along you get, all the way to the very end once you hit the credits. I fuckin' LOVE this game.
It's not a perfect of course. I have my own criticisms like the underbaked romancing and that some of the optional enemies fucking cheat super hard like what is this bullshit how the fuck am I supposed to beat this mother fucker. However, every else is so good that these are things I can easily forgive, especially since they're all completely optional and avoidable unless you're a completionist.
I am playing BlazBlue game, at the moment. I love Rachel and Jin. I love her lolita black and red dress, gorgeous petticoat as she floats in air with umbrella. Jin is rather mean, yet I love him and his ice power.
So I have a few games that I played in the past. Let me breakdown:
Dishonored 2
I put many hours of this game until I platinumed it on July. This was such a great game and I can't express my jaw-dropping appreciation enough for the two iconic levels.
I heard that Jindosh's mansion was almost cut from the game due how ambitious the level design was. Thank God they didn't because it's probably the most original setting for a stealth-based game I have ever seen. But the time-travel level took things to a whole new level (no pun intended). It really made the game feel like it was supposed to be made for the PS5 but it's a PS4 title. WAAY ahead of its time.
My biggest complaint about this game is the story. There was just nothing to write home about because it feels like a complete copy of the first game's narrative, especially if you choose to play as Corvo. D1 also didn't have the best narrative in the world but its simplicity helped me replay it multiple times. Having to choose between Corvo and Emily was a great addition, with both having different powers but I feel like Emily is the canon way for the story because like I said, being Corvo would just be the first game again but with different targets.
Dishonored Death of the Outsider
I don't really have much to say about this one. Except, this felt more like a DLC rather than a full expansion. Why wasn't it just added alongside Dishonored 2? I only played it once because they removed the Karma system for some reason. And I didn't like how they wrote the death of a fan-favorite character in this game. Good conclusion but could have been much better.
Mafia DE, 3 and The Old Country
Because of the latest game releasing this year, I decided to finally experience the entire Mafia franchise, given the fact that I grew up playing the second game.
The remake of the first game was very good.
I wish I loved Mafia 3 because the story is actually good with great characters but unfortunately, it did live up to the criticism of being extremely repetitive. I almost lost my save file because of a stupid bug that the studio did NOT fix for some reason. Luckily I solved it but I would have hated it forever otherwise.
Mafia The Old Country brought me back to my good old PS3 days, when I used to constantly play the Uncharted games. Story was a bit predictable but it did expand on the Mafia lore perfectly. It proves that Hangar 13 is a great studio for this IP.
Little Nightmares 3
I had no expectations for this since Tarsier wasn't the main developer anymore. Just as I expected, it's not as good as the first two games. It has its moments and it didn't lose all the charm of this IP. Worst thing about it is the price. Doesn't justify the short length. Also, this game seems to have been built specifically for coop because the AI partner can be wonky at times.
Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney
I just recently finished this one. My opinion on this game is exactly the same as my opinion on The Legend of Korra. It's not as good as the original trilogy but its flaws do NOT overshadow the overall great writing and characters of this one.
I am honestly surprised how much I enjoyed Phoenix's character in this. Him losing his attorney badge should have been like a character assassination but once I finished the story, it felt like the best direction for his development. It's still not perfect though because the game seems like it wants me to forget that Edgeworth, Maya, Pearl and Iris, the connections that meant soo much to Phoenix, existed. The game never explained why, especially Maya, was separated from him.
Apollo Justice, the titular character, is probably the biggest problem of this game. He was just....there, despite being the playable character. There were some good twists to his character but that's about it.
Klavier Gavin was easily the best character of the game. I think he might be my favorite prosecutor character because he is chill, he doesn't bully the defense attorney, he is funny and doesn't care about winning the Guilty verdicts. He and Eddie Fender are like the chillest lawyers of the franchise.
Trucy Wright was a huge treasure. I think she is the best successor to Maya. She is kinda inspiring me to learn magic tricks. Love her even more than Ema and Kay.
Speaking of Ema, I wasn't really a fan of her portrayal in this game. Her being a detective, replacing Gumshoe no less, made her a bit of a downgrade compared to her roles in the first game and Investigations 2. All I can think of is MUNCH MUNCH MUNCH MUNCH MUNCH MUNCH.
Kristoph Gavin was such a smart villain and his breakdown made me raise my eyebrows in fear, especially when he is constantly smiling.
The way all cases were connected and crafted was brilliant, just like in Investigations saga. Each of them had their own importance. Although, I thought only First and Last cases were the best, while the middle ones were just fine.

I want to play islamic games.
Finished RDR2 after hopping off of it for a few years. Easily one of the best games I've ever played.

My Christmas Present. Already a fucking banger and I don't even like platformers.

Finished it on Christmas day. Couldn't have been more perfect. Merry Christmas!

I've been enjoying Remnant From the Ashes co-op with the kids. Go figure they actually got the hang of it quickly since they play Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. Gosh this generation is growing up with great games. I'm kind of jealous lol
I was wondering how it got Game of the Year at TGA a lot of people love this game for good reason
Do people play Yakuza mini games like they play Witcher 3 mini games? Trying to gauge if I would enjoy Yakuza 0. It's been on my wishlist for awhile now but was wondering what the day to day gameplay involves
It's a fun game from start to finish. There is not single level wasted in the game. Some of them can be hard though.
That's good to know. Maybe if I ever get a PS5 I might get the chance to experience it
I'm hoping it'll come to PC one of these days such a beautiful game
First game finished in 2025.

Does anyone of a list of the telltale games that actually still connect /allow you to login to track decisions/stats? Thanks
Lang Zi says: "Aron finished the first game, which he thought was great but has yet to reach the best part that is the sequel".
i got dead space 2 for Xbox 360 a few days ago and I'm gonna play that game i still buy games for my Xbox 360

Pretty sure I played Bugsnax on Switch if it’s anything not related to Telltale
I finished Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.
