AVGN does Jurassic Park!

edited April 2011 in Jurassic Park
Not sure how many Angry Video Game Nerd fans there are here, but he released his 101st video (and the last one before he starts working on the AVGN Movie) last night: "Steven Spielberg Games." Most of the video is devoted to Jurassic Park games. Seems Telltale doesn't have a lot of competition. ;)

No, they certainly can't do worse than the 3DO apparently.

I own the Genesis version and it's sequal. Both are actually extremely entertaining games.

I just found the strangest JPgame out there! Jurassic Park Scan Command is a game where you scan actual bar codes, with a scanner, to power up your Dinosaurs, and prepare them for combat. In the commercial, a kid runs through all his families groceries just to find barcodes:

I never had all that much trouble with the scanner. The worst trouble I remember having was sometimes different barcodes would register as the same.

Ha! AVGN is awesome, I'd been waiting for him to get around to the Jurassic Park games. I had and loved all those NES/SNES/Genesis JP games, but the 3DO one does look just awful. No competition for Telltale there :D

nblackburn, yes, yes, E.T. can be worse than JP 3DO.

It was so bad, the developer buried millions of cartridges in the deserts of New Mexico in an attempt to hide it's existence from the public forever. But like the One Ring, hiding it won't rid the world of its evil. It must be cast into the fires from whence it came.

Actually, that 3DO game goes to show how licensing even had problems back then, they couldn't use the likes of the characters either so they used doppelgangers, may be yet another reason why TT said the original cast wont be appearing on the game.
