edited December 2012 in The Walking Dead
Hi, well, the topic already says it all, I'm looking for the location of the save game and I've already checked documents and settings. I'm talking about the pc version here.

If there is already a topic opened with the same subject, please refer to it kindly please :).

It appears deleting the game is in fact possible in the game itself, so thanks anyways :).

This is to facilitate the rewind capability of the save games. Without previously saved spots, we would be unable to continue from an earlier place in the game.

Probably. A little more insight into the mechanics here could not hurt though. I've 24 save files in there - 3 save slots x 8 chapters?? Is that the connection?

So the entire folder "The Walking Dead" under "Telltale Games" in my "Documents" holds my prefs and savegames. This at least could be copied in full and stored somewhere else to prevent savegame corruption, play TWD on another computer or make room for more savegames. That is definitely a start, I'd say.

Please be aware that this is the one and only savegame folder for the entire season; you have just these three slots to get you through the entire game!

I wonder what would happen if you made a backup of the folder, deleted the saves inside the game interface, then restored the folder. I may run some experiments just to see. Even if that worked though, it's a lot to go through for only 3 more save slots.

I vote they add more save slots into the game.

I'm with you there. Three is just not enough for an entire game. Six, okay! ;)

    Hello,

I played The Walking Dead on one computer, got to the fourth episode, copied the entire The Walking Dead folder from Documents and moved on to another computer. I then installed the game there, but it seems to store its save games somewhere else now. I started playing Episode 1 hoping it would create The Walking Dead folder in Documents, but it didn't. It did however save my "progress" in Episode 1, so I'm assuming the save games location is different now?

I tried to manually create Telltale Games folder in Documents, and then pasted The Walking Dead folder with my Episode 4 save files on it, but that didn't do anything.

    What's going on?

how about no limit to the amount of saves, it seems arbitrary to limit them
  • I have about the same question right now.
Since I have a new Computer, I wanted to import my saves which I burned on a CD.
Now I copied them into the folder where they used to be on the old PC, but I can only start a new game. - Which is saved, but I can't find the new file.

  • Do I really have to replay the whole Season 1 again?
Not that it's not fun, but I want to start Season 2 now!
