Episode 1 is finished and sent out to 3rd parties, taking any longer now won't make the episode any better. They need to give us the release date now, and make it come out ASAP!
why do people think nov. 19th is any different from any other date? it was a PLACEHOLDER. I don't mean to be an A-hole but I hate to see fal… morese info that's going to most likely let people down. Sure there's a chance it will be released on or around that day, but no more a chance than any other other day. Some time in December is probably more likely and realistic, seeing as we don't have a trailer yet. As awesome as a Nov. release would be, I wouldn't count on it. The longer it takes to be released, the better season 2 will be anyway. It helps to think of the wait that way.
Exactly what I was thinking. And it was a while ago they said they're submitting to their partners. (Around the same time we got the reveal trailer). According to Telltale it's a two week process, so they should say something perhaps this Sunday after the show again?

Have this ever crossed your mind? As we all know Telltale must have submitted Season Two to their partners by now. This means the game is finished. It can't get any better or worse; So why waiting to December when the game is finished? Submitting takes about two weeks, and Telltale was about to submit around the same time we got the reveal trailer. I still think we'll be getting something interesting this weekend after the show, or some day next week. According to Telltale the wait after the game getting approved "won't be long". Don't make sense to wait... Unless it takes months to prepare the final trailers.
The certification process (at least on MS) takes alot of time, 2 weeks at least. When i was waiting for SoD to get verified on the XBLA i recall waiting around a month while MS sorted everything out.

I just hope they get this one out fast.

Read it at Reddit. They officially stated they were to send it in for approval, (not confirmed if it has been or not). I read that seven days ago though.
As we all know Telltale must have submitted Season Two to their partners by now.
I've never seen official confirmation of this and at … morethe time do not think it has happened yet.
This from just a bit more than a week ago:
But I can say we are very close to submitting, and it's usually not too long after that!
That sounds suspiciously like "soon" to me, don't you think?
If the game was not almost done. Why would telltale say soon and mess with people minds? Anyways if it's not send out by now. It's highly likely it will be send out in the next 2 weeks or so.
I have to agree with Vain. Why would thay tell us; before cristmass, if the game actually is out in a few weeks?
Before cristmass sounds like early or mid December in my ears.

This very moment can also be considered as "before Christmas". Would you rather like them to use soon or very soon again? Before Christmas is a welcome change of words for once don't you think?

No I would like them to be as specific as possible.
But I would not like to give anyone false hope. I would like to get my hands on it as much as the next guy, but I haven't seen it officially confirmed, that it has been submittet. If you have some information about this, please share.

I read the Reddit AMA, but I don't think that it is entirely safe to assume that "soon" (from that point in time of the AMA) meant it is in approval now. Obviously I hope it gets in soon, but it may be jumping the gun to make assumptions.

I haven't seen anything from TT saying it was sent in yet. That's just an assumption. Unless i'm missing something I wouldn't count on it any time in the next few weeks. Just being realistic. Wish I were wrong though. EDIT: unfortunately "before Christmas" isn't anything new, because Fall ends before Christmas.
They aren't playing around. It hasn't even been a year since Episode 5 and only a few months since 400 Days. I want Season 2 as much as the next person, but Walking Dead has hardy been neglected by Telltale.
Making an optimistic assumption with little actual proof isn't entirely equal to common sense.
I'm not trying to be rude with the way I said that, but still it's hard to say we have any proof.
I'm not going to drag this out and start drama or something, but I don't see how I am being a spoilsport. I'm just making an attempt at a realistic guess. Sorry if me stating that we don't know for certain that Telltale sent Walking Dead 201 for approval makes me a spoilsport.
If it hasn't even been sent in yet, there's a very high chance your going to be disappointed. just a heads up. The 12th is an extremely unlikely date for a release. Maybe a few weeks from now if we are lucky, but 4 days from now is dreaming. (but hey, it's been said that dreams can come true!) That would be a pleasant surprise though.

Right now I see alot of assumptions about it hasn't been sent in for approval... It's just as bad as assuming it has been sent in by looking at your comments. Some of you should make up your minds.
I can't speak for everyone else, but the point I was making is that no one knows for certain. Why is everyone getting so defensive about this? If they want to let us know, they'll let us know.

I guess because someone make an assumption, then another one make another assumption in return. Right now it's about the game being approved by Telltale's partners, and I believe it has been sent, and you perhaps don't. We defend our own assumptions and it eventually turn into a fight. If we could leave each other's opinions alone it'd make it so much better. I like being optimistic; keeping the spirit up. Hope for the best, and expect the worst. You maybe like being realistic and accept facts, but still unconfirmed facts like me and my optimism.

That's fine. I don't have a problem with people being optimistic. It just seems like whenever I try to point something out that supports the possibility the game might come later than sooner, people seem to jump to the conclusion that I am being rude/sarcastic/passive aggressive to them whereas I am just trying to point out something for the sake of discussion.
I honestly don't intend to come off as rude or sarcastic in my posts when I point out that the game might not come out soon as we like, but it seems like people unfortunately misinterpret my dissenting opinion as rudeness or passive aggression or something along those lines.

My spirits are high, I want a November release but it seems like a long shot considering all the games their working on releasing ( TWAU ep2 TWD GOTY) but I do agree with you guys, I would really like a November release..
Clearly people are pretty divided, however... I don't think they are misinterpreting what you say. I think they are downvoting you simply for suggesting the game isn't coming out tomorrow, this week, or this month. I think it's a petty thing to thumb down for, when you're just giving your realistic expectation for release which could be completely correct because we have no idea!

yea people downvote over the most petty things here. But oh well, if there is a button there will always be some people who will feel the need to push it. I don't think TT will do the same thing they did with 400 days though, they will want the release to be hyped alot more than 400 days was.

Indeed I hope. It all depends on the partners now.
Almost everybody gets a whole week off for Thanksgiving?? Dammit, I need to work for one of THOSE companies!
Telltale should have season 2 out within 4 weeks it seems. Hope they don't be silly and delay it for months.
Did they officially say they sent if off for approval or is that an assumption?
Whens Season 2 coming out?
I've never seen official confirmation of this and at the time do not think it has happened yet.

telltale needs to get the date ready and stop playing, thats all we want

Lol, no puzzle box you need to get your butt In Gear for The walking dead season two!
My guess is still Tuesday the 12th (4 days away) I think they announce the release date Sunday along with a new trailer..

It's funny to know how we, fans, have different opinions about the Walking Dead characters , yet we are united while waiting for a release date.

It's almost Sunday! Hang in there!
What's happening on Sunday?
