Is it true that The first episode of Season 2 is Ready but TellTale can't give a release date because they need confirmation from all platforms so they can release the first episode on all platforms

I don't believe anyone knows if the first episode is ready or not for release. However, it has been revealed that, yes, all platforms have to approve the episode before a release date can be announced. So it is possible that the episode is ready, but we can't confirm that. It is just as possible that there are some bugs left to work out as well.
TTG has promised us the first episode will be released before the end of the year. We just need to wait.
While it's no release date, but around the time of the reddit Q&A, didn't they say it was nearly ready for submission and the approval process doesn't take long?
I'm personally expecting it sometime this month, along with The Wolf Among Us episode 2, because they said they were working on episodes 3 - 4 of that, so I don't know why they wouldn't say they were working on the 2nd episode if it wasn't nearly ready.
Still, just speculation about both titles.

Read this about Episode 2 of The Wolf Among Us. It only makes sense.
The Wolf Among Us, will be released in December. I say this based off the fact of when Telltale released Season 1 of The Walking Dead. Both the walking dead season 2 and The wolf among us will have 5 episodes, just like the Walking Dead season 1 did. For a look of how it might go. Here is how The walking dead season one, was released by telltale for PC, Xbox, and Playstation. I am excluding IOS because that came out much later in the year.

Episode 1: April 24 (PC, PSN) April 27 (XBOX)
Episode 2: June 27 (Xbox) June 29 (PC, PSN)

I think that it's ready because I keep hearing November 2013. It's gotta be either 11/19 or 11/26. Maybe their waiting on the PS4 since their have been talks about bringing saves from the PS3 to the PS4. I just hope it's this month.

I heard rumors that it was releasing tomorrow. I don't know if it's true, but if not, then sometime this month or in early december. They said "before Christmas" so soon is all i can estimate. I heard tomorrow. I could be wrong.

Staticfl, I agree with you, through the last 3 episodes, I think she jumps to quickly to judging people. But her heart is in the right place.
