all joking aside thats a bit messed up...

'SOON!', he screamed, as the machete slowly penetrated the Telltale CEO's back. 'SOON!', he repeated, getting more and more intense each time.

  • Telltale's definition of "soon" = we have no idea right now, and it could be many months later so we will just say soon so the hype doesn't die down and we get more sales when we finally release it around 3 months from now.

  • But.. It already is "soon". Haven't you heard?

I agree with you on this, hope it's soon, the news should be here any day now!

  • Since when did they actually listen to us?

Is there a particular need for Telltale to adhere to your "twitter news after the TV show" theory?

  • Steam had to adjust the date as it's definitely not coming out tomorrow. That is the entirety of information which can be derived from the observance in question.

By the way, remember how earlier this month, Season Two was listed on Steam as being released around November 19 because it was listed right u

I'm not a big fan of the "insult to improve" communicative strategy... and I'm getting tired of the constant hyperbole.

These are all attempts to test out how grossly the situation can be exaggerated to provoke a reaction from Telltale and...

...it's counter-productive. It doesn't work. At all. Four years of experience, trust me on that one. ;)

Another Sunday passes, again we stare into the dark abyss of nothingness.

    "Telltale. Telltale. never changes".

  • Stay positive. GOTY edition will be released in two days.

I know. But will the GOTY Edition be any different? I already own all five episodes plus the DLC. The soundtrack can be found everywhere anyway... The GOTY Edition is more for those wanting to get into the game. I'm hoping for the releae of the GOTY Edition will have something to do with Season Two though.

It wasn't meant to be an insult, it was meant to be a joke. But apparently I suck at making jokes....

edit: And besides, they did tell us "soon" in late september\early october....

  • postponed? it never had a release date or even release month to begin with. And before you say "but steam says..." that date is just a place holder, we will hear from TT when they are ready.

  • Wow. I just looked at what the Wiki people got for December. Wow. They don't even say December. Here's the link. They are going crazy on the Wiki about "the confirmed release date" Stupid BS and waste of my time.

    DEADinTHEhead is correct.

A release in November was never announced by Telltale officials.

In fact, the estimate that Season 2 would release Fall 2013 - an information given as early as late 2012 - still holds true, probably making this the least postponed game of all time. ;)

The wikia, being edited by fans like you and me, naturally doesn't have 'placeholder dates'. They have the 'wishful thinking' ones. ;)

That's what I thought three years ago.

  • no but you will have an abundance of opportunities to play season 1 while you wait. the best way to not think about how long it is taking is by doing other things. i either write in my spare time or tend to my garden. then again i'm a person of great patience. there are a lot of things in life that will require patience. be glad that right now you only have to use your patience on a game rather than something important. be happy for all the little things in life.

But will it be on ps3 also?? Not sure if I can afford a ps4 this soon..

  • ... The fuck?! when did he mention "god"?

  • "The Lord will provide an abundance of opportunities..." but it wasn't focused so much on that as it is for people to stop bitching about the game not being out yet. Multicolt wants us to exercise more patience and that's it, don't crap on the guy for it.

  • Can't wait to see the new trophies for S2! Wonder if it's going to be like S1 were if you beat the game you get a platinum, and will TT put the trophies out before the first episode?

  • ummmm "the lord." I don't mean any negativity by what I said, just don't think this is the place for things like that because it could spark a religion argument. Anyone who has ever been in that kind of talk with someone will know what I mean.

  • I think it would be cool if some of the trophies were sort of like in the "Back To The Future" game, but TWD style. Like if say you had a huge group of walkers coming at your group or something and a trophy was to not let anyone die, or to kill every walker before you escape, or something along those lines.

  • Wouldn't suit for the game though. Couldn't imagine Clementine mowing down a horde of zombies.

I think it would be cool if some of the trophies were sort of like in the "Back To The Future" game, but TWD style. Like if say you had a hug

  • That'd be cool I like that, but maybe sertain choice could give you sertain trophies, example: "fight character" or "calm character down" it'd make the game fun and make people play it over and over to get sertain trophies, plus it'd be something to do while waiting for more episodes...

  • Yeah I've thought about that before. Still registers and gives you a plat for beating the game but certain events would have 2 or hell maybe even 3 trophies depending what you picked would be nice for replays! :)
