  • Yeah, the in game downloads didn't work for me. I had to use the "alternate download" site that is buried somewhere in the forums by now. It's probably my fault for playing the game in Linux though. Maybe it'll work better for season 2.

The only good thing that has come from switching to in game downloads is that Telltale fans don't hammer their F5 keys so much any more.

The PR and marketing people (and executives) often play through an episode at various stages of development just to see how it's tracking and make sure it "feels" right (you'd be surprised how much can change in just a week or two). The QA team are the ones who actually play to find and report bugs.

If JobJStauffer works in PR, is it actually in his field of work to test for bugs? My theory is that he was testing for fun and it may as well

  • @puzzlebox Is this done before or after submitting the game to your partners?

  • Ohh so the PR can play it at any given time, makes sense I guess, I'm really hoping JobJStauffer liked it and now their just waiting on their partners...

They have made a post talking about TWD S1 GOTY edition that you can find on their Facebook page.
And they added a small bit of info about season 2.

Look for it today [Edit: The Goty edition] and be ready for the upcoming premiere of Telltale Games' The Walking Dead: The Game Season Two, which we'll have more news on VERY soon before the end of the year!

Another "very soon" huh? Where have we heard that before? They gave us a very soon in October; Sounds more like we'll get it on December 23..

  • December 23rd is before Christmas so they could release it then yeah; or even the 24th and still be within when it is set to be released

  • I won't be surprised if we get news like tomorrow or something.

"Very soon" doesn't mean tomorrow with Telltale... with Telltale, "very soon" means a painstaking wait. They promised information "very soon" on October 29. 21 days later, still nothing more than what we got with the initial reveal.

I won't be surprised if we get news like tomorrow or something.

  • either on the 26 of this month or 3rd,10th,17th,24th of december seeing as xbox updates on a tuesday i think ps3 is the day after. all in all its within only 5 weeks. so thats good. :)

  • I didn't mean it literally. It was a joke. Oh, you call 3 weeks a "painstaking wait?" Give me break.

  • Okay, before Christmas or before the end of the year? MAKE UP YOUR MIND TT!

  • They could, but they probably won't do the 23rd. Seeing how a Monday isn't that great of guess.

December 23rd is before Christmas so they could release it then yeah; or even the 24th and still be within when it is set to be released

  • Now it looks like Telltale is just screwing with us... Before Christmas, End of the Year, Soon, Very Soon... What are you getting at Telltale?

  • I don't know about you guys but this is good news to me, VERY soon is better then
    "Coming soon" or "soon"

  • They said very soon in late October, they used soon in mid-November, and now in late November they're back on very soon...

Maybe now they mean it. I don't know, they can't keep it for much longer, they gotta say something.

Yes... Let the hate flow through you...

  • Play something else in the meantime, I'm sure you can come up with something. If not I can always suggest something for you :D

  • Here's the second teaser image that might not even be apart of the game, but still something to speculate.

Well, according to how Telltale chose words it looks like we will only get "news" before the end of the year. Telltale, I am disappointed. Shouldn't the actual game come out before the end of the year? I just got a very choking feeling we'll be sitting here waiting past Christmas for this bloody thing. If this is the case I'm gonna request a refund for the Season Two Season Pass as I've got other plans for Christmas and could use what I spent on this... Telltale, get down here and tell me it is just you pushing the hype before we lose all faith. Because this is really starting to get ridiculous with your immature teasing and uncertain statements. Not to mention their horrible job of keeping the making of video for the GOTY Edition "exclusive", and them mixing up the soundtrack... I can't find one track because they are all mixed together.

  • I think it's Negan holding Lucille... so comic stuff then

  • Not exactly. The wait is becoming better because i now have better upcoming things to do other than mope on this thread every day. I have NFL going on with my favorite team, San Francisco, AMC's TWD, vacation on Friday, and other stuff. TWD actually is my favorite game. We'll get news and the game in December at the latest. So hold your horses

3 weeks after the teaser trailer with no info is a painstaking wait when TWD is your favourite game..

  • I'm gonna try very hard not to cuss in this thread.

I'm starting to get really annoyed. Telltale just announced this "be ready for the upcoming premiere of Telltale Games' The Walking Dead: The Game Season Two, which we'll have more news on VERY soon before the end of the year!" (sic)

OOOH, GOODY! What a treat! Some info on season 2! What is it? "Coming soon before the end of 2013"

Dafuq is this? Honestly, I'm tired of this. I don't care how late telltale releases the game from now (although they keep changing their goddamned dates) but give us some...fudging...info on the game already. I'm genuinely starting to wonder if the game's going to even get any info before it's released.

How hard is it to open a WIP forum? Show us the progress? Instead of letting us sit here twiddling our thumbs saying "Is it here yet? How 'bout now?"

This is unreal. I can't begin to reiterate my anger right now.

I for one totally agree with you. Nothing has been more irritating that anticipating this amazing game. I loved Season 1 and started playing when Episode 1 and 2 were out. It was borderline torture waiting for the next episodes to release. I'm totally with you, I could care less if they have to push back a set date to make sure the release dosent suck or have too many bugs. I just would like some info or at the very least a date for release. They don't really update their fans and its kind of annoying.

  • Most likely comic stuff. But hold on, let's see how this turns out.

  • Its extremely hard for me to be patient at this point. I feel like the fans deserve some kind of info besides "Coming Soon" its a very broad and cover up response. I wouldn't be upset if they gave us a release date and had to push it back... Id just like something concrete to hold us over. They are good at keep their fans on their toes and pacing ahah!

    .

Well, which one is it guys? Did Telltale give you dates and change them? Or didn't give any at all? They can't both be right.
Hint: They didn't give dates, just general "fall 2013", "before Christmas" and now "end of the year". Unless it really comes out after Christmas none of these were a lie. (If it comes 2014 all of them were)

Although I do get the frustration by now. One way to go is to not be here every day and just do something else. That's what I'm doing. When it finally comes out, you get the message via email. So I'm not gonna miss it. And the frustration level (to me at least) is lower when I'm not reading other frustrated people waiting for the game.

  • Lol whine all you want, every time TT says something this whole forum thinks it's delayed! You guys need some help!
