Four to six weeks between episodes. Same applies to The Walking Dead. As far as I know we're currently on the sixth week for The Wolf Among Us.

there is no date or estimate for twau is there? so that could be early next year ?

  • thank you, I appreciate it. I don't know how I missed that

  • As one of the mods here put it, that is a guess by them, that isn't "law" put down by telltale staff.. hence 6 weeks since TWAU ep 1 being tomorrow and no game

Please note that the FAQ is compiled by your humble moderators, yet not Telltale officials. The 4-6 week gap is an estimate based on experience - yet also on the time frame Telltale saw fit for the second Season of The Walking Dead.

Might be a bit later this time. :(

I was talking about The Wolf among Us in that thread. That's, errr, why you couldn't find the quote on this sub-forum. You could have copied the entire quote... ;)

The official The Walking Dead Season 2 FAQ does say they intend to release on a 4 to 6 week schedule.

No wonder season 2 is not out yet. It looks like TTG has some new stuff in the pipeline.

Telltale ALWAYS has new stuff in the pipeline.

Thinking TWD Season 2 is delayed because of Game of Thrones is like thinking TWD Season 1 was delayed because of The Wolf among Us...

...damn, I really hope it's not GoT. Nothing against the IP, but I had hoped for Telltale to do a franchise that's NOT completely overused in book AND TV series next time. There are so many beloved franchises out there which do not have thousands of book and comic pages and 178 TV episodes and would actually need a bit more lore.

  • Telltale take all the time in the world I say :) your games are pure works of art, really. Not many can compare to this epic creativity, I just wish you had Back to the future for xbox, best movie ever and if anyone else says other wise, I will find you and fling my Sh** at you !!

  • Did you enjoy playing the episode we got yesterday?

Thursday after all was the most likely date it would be released.

Yeah. I told you so (sorry, had to :p).

  • Masked Machete Lee easter egg, anyone? :D

What if they release it on Friday December 13th?

  • Dude, it been six weeks since the release of TWAU episode 1.

As confirmed by a mod in another thread, the 4-6weeks was an estimate.

No official release plan for The Wolf among Us was given besides 'periodically'.

My estimate was 4 to 7 weeks, which held true for most of Telltale's past publications.

If anyone could make a GoT game work it definately would be Telltale. Every aspect of GoT lends itself perfectly for an episodic story driven adventure! For it to really work though there would have to be alot of freedom in moving across the realm which could prove difficult in development. Or they could take the side-story-arc road and just follow a random character in the GoT universe (like the Dunk & Egg stories). Maybe a game about 'the first men' building the wall and fending off the white walkers could prove entertaining as well as expanding on the GoT universe, but that would mean that GRR Martin would have to be on board and he's not really known for his swift story production :)

Looks at watch Hey it's 'before christmas'! :o)

My money is on November 26th. It would keep in line with some of the 'later in november' release speculations and the 'before christmas' timeframe in the FAQ, as well as leaving some room for a 'before christmas' release for TWAU (and within its bi-monthly timeframe). And it would also allow multiple telltale products to land under christmas trees world wide.

Even if i would prefer a hard deadline for a next installment as soon as i finish an episode, i think Telltale can and should take all the time they need, since we know they deliver good work and they are the only ones who can actually declare a product finished. And i must say there even is some charm in anxiously awaiting news on the next installment. :o)

  • I'm not a big fan either.

  • Come on TellTale pls give us some more information about season 2. I
hope it will be released next week. :)

  • I think the odds are good for a release in one or two weeks. But it got to be before Thanksgiving, or it will be a December release.

    Wouldn't that make the release order wrong? Then it'd be TWAU 1 - TWAU 2 - TWD 1 - TWD 2 etc...

    I thought it was TWAU 1 - TWD 1 - TWAU 2 - TWD 2?

Do you have a source saying they release both games simultaneously AND in chronological order? Beacause I haven't heard of the second. They said concurrently. TWAU ep2 should be released by now, that's why I guess it'll come out in a week latest. TWD on the other hand is highly unlikely to be released BEFORE TWAU. According to puzzleboxes latest statement I guess it will be a december release, a week or so before christmas.

Concurrently doesn't mean it has to be in chronological order. Cool it!

And why would they want to release just before christmas? With the christmas sales and discounts coming up they wouldn't make much profit the first weeks.

I guarantee sometime soon, like maybe a few days to a few weeks, that TT will come out of nowhere and give us a Ep.1 trailer with a few screenshots as well.

I wonder if we get news today.

I think S2 release is November 26th-December 13th. Could be wrong, that's just the time span i expect it to be released.

I always wondered, what does Vainamoinen mean?

  • It's not in chronological order. It's obviously what FreddeN93 said. TWAU1-TWD1-TWAU2-TWD2 simple as that.

  • Yeah, but TWAU is running very late. I just can't imagine it to be released 5 weeks later. You have your speculation, I have mine. No need to be so harsh
