Steam is probably estimating. Until we hear directly from Telltale, take it with a massive grain of salt.

Well, at least they're estimating things with a bit of a brain now. The release won't be next week probably, so it kind of has to be the following week. PC versions release on a Tuesday or Friday these days, so it's actually kind of 50-50 what they're doing there.
I think it's safe to assume that Telltale's final console build has entered the certification process by now. This is the final time frame insecurity. Whether it takes two or three weeks, no one knows. So Valve as well as Telltale can only make educated guesses. Always take that into account when you see a release date more than ten (!) days in the future.
Closing this thread - keep the discussion in the release date thread please. We'll have COUNTLESS of those threads popping up during the next two weeks I guess, and I really want to keep the rest of the forum navigable for those who still want to discuss the game.
