You sir, need to calm down. TellTale is trying their best to get things out, but at the same time keep a variety in their game selection. Let's say you were making a movie like, let's say Avatar (being represented as a part 2). And you have a staff of about 30. The movie before was great and everyone wants more. But that is the only movie that people are interested in. As an addition, most of the people want to see some more good movies that you make. When they find out you only have the one, you will be pushed a lot to get Avatar out faster before people get fed up with it.
If you would continue with this stop because your company has been "forgotten". If you want to keep your company going, read on...
So, you decide to make a second movie and split your staff in half. That second movie, (let's use Silver Bullet) is a little less elaborate than Avatar and you can get out some parts of it out before Avatar comes out. This ensures that Avatar will look great and be its best when it is released. Also not being affected by people rushing it.(as an example use sonic 2006) than everyone can be happy if they are patient.
Shure, if TellTale only focused on WD S2, it would come out faster, but they just need some extra time to get it right. THATS HOW I SEE IT, you are entitled to your opinion and you do make good points. Just be patient.
The bag is more of a symbolic thing for Clementine you see her carrying it every now and then in S1 and then it disappears. In the same essence as how everyone pulls things out of their ass like Kenny and Lee.

I haven't been on these forums for very long (mostly because I didn't need to be before to try to find any scraps of information about release dates since they didn't shun the community and delay releases so much in the past) but rest assured, I have been playing Telltale's games for a very long time, well before they picked up The Walking Dead License. Specifically, since they picked up the Sam and Max license, and I don't remember the wait times between episodes being nearly this long. I also, as you stated, don't remember them announcing games a year in advance. I remember Sam & Max S3 having an episode release pretty much monthly. In fact I remember most of their episodic titles being released pretty much monthly. It was only when The Walking Dead came along that they took significantly longer between episodes. So, I wouldn't call the situation with TWAU so much unusual as it is indicative of a trend of them taking longer and longer to release subsequent episodes for their titles, and that is not something I want to see them continue to do in the future. Based on how they've been conducting their releases recently, though, it seems that may be the case. The problem with it is that it takes away from the gravity and impact of the game. I like episodic content and living with the game, discussing it with friends and even strangers, and so forth, but if they take too long, all of that fades. Telltale has enough weight now that they don't NEED a big gaming event/platform, especially one as poorly run as VGX, to get their games' hype rolling with an announcement. They can do that on their own without putting off their fans so much as they did with these announcements.
Not telling people release dates until the last minute is how Telltale's always done things. It's just their way, although they have been anno… moreuncing games being developed a lot earlier than before. I remember how they first announced Tales of Monkey Island the month before it actually came out!
As for the timing... there's not really any other big gaming events for months, so when exactly COULD they announce the games to a large audience? That said though, yeah, I can understand some people being concerned, especially with Telltale not being very communicative about the situation. That's never a good thing.
The whole TWAU thing is extremely unusual for Telltale, so people familiar with the company know that the long gap between episodes isn't a regular thing. But for newcomers, yes, I do sympathise. Of course I do. Hence my post. I wasn't attempting to tell people off, just explain how Telltale works a little better and try to re-assure peo… [view original content]
I think, that you to are basiccally just talking past each other.
I am a man, but I do get, why you are tired of female characters in games, who are only designed to be eyecandy.
A game like fx DOA needs the bimbos, because it has very little else to give. Ofcause there should be room for games like DOA, my girlfriend actually plays it, because she likes to play as the (in her words) hot guy and beat up the bimbos. But if every gamecompany in the world think, that bimbos and bimbos only is a must have, then it is a problem, and it is getting boring very fast.
Thankfully a few developers make female charecters with more than just sexappeal. You mentioned bioshock, and I like it very much to. It is importent to understand, a females sexuality is only one tool in the toolbox, when developing a charecter. And I think that both Irrational (Bioshock) and TTG are very good at this. So I do not think, that you will have to worry about Game of Trones being only focused on a male audience. TTG is giving us Clementine as a protagonist for crying out loud:)
If you watch GOT the TV show, the most interesting charecters is actually the stronger and struggling females.. and ofcause the midget (Tywind?). The way the female charecters have to be smart and manipulating to effect their fates, makes them much deeper than many of the more primitive male charecters. A few male charecters have actually died because they underestimated female charecters. (like last episode of s01;))
It is not bad charecter writing, when these women need to use their sexuality to get by in this sexist world. And by showing a world, that most men can agree is very sexist, I actually think, that they promot feminist values. It is obvius, that the women are treated unfair in this time, and that should hopefully give people, men and women alike motivation to think about these problems.
* Vainamoinen can assure you I am not english raised, I just take that as a complement
* you said I sound sexist which contradicts with what … moreI said in point 3. Never intended to sound smart
* Edit: you said ' due to ur llittle circle of female friends'
* well: to accuse so personally is never good, with or without anger. I'm not mad it's just against the forum rules - for s good reason
* when I said 'strong' women I never meant those bigchested muscled killing machines but quite the characteristics you stated, with women being strong in other ways. I hope telltale can make it.
you can call me feminist. I am just sick of those bigchested or dumb female characters in video games and Id on't think sou can blame me for that
When Telltale released Sam & Max Season 1 they had release dates for every episode before the season came out. It made the timelines very clear and gave you confidence in purchasing a full season of the game.

Yeah, they should continue the adventure games. And atleast finish the bone series with a trilogy, I really liked the bone games they did and was pretty sad when they stopped after the second.

At this point the only thing I would ask Telltale, is if the save glitch is gone. I think I can speak for all when I say we don't want to replay season 1 because of a bug in the save system.
ahhhh but I said I do not mean the little word as a insult I just tend to use that word alot my bad
Don't blame you for that XD I agree and god big chested women as in muscle wise scare the shit out of me

I hope they make more use of it in Season Two. A larger inventory with items we perhaps can use when we wish to. Flashlight perhaps.
You can remove a post by.... ....yeah actually,Vain, how are we supposed to do that?
That would make it seem more realistic, but that may not be their intention in the game. Who knows
PSN down for maintenance, Telltale answering questions, new Vine clip... I seriously think we can expect a big surprise by tomorrow at the latest!

It would be like spoiling that Gandalf is not really dead at the beginning of the second movie!
...oh wait.
Let's keep our fingers crossed.
By asking me to do it.

Please don't - she said it was one of the nicest compliments anyone's paid her all year.
I figured I'd ask on here, what's the F5 joke referring to?
F5, the refresh button?
I'd like to know as well please.
Ohhh, I thought it was some sort of meme referring to computer games in general, oooops!
When Telltale released Sam & Max Season 1 they had release dates for every episode before the season came out. It made the timelines very clear and gave you confidence in purchasing a full season of the game.

EDIT: Too bad posting it didn't work, took forever to find that pic.
easiest way to be safe is to make backup of the save folder in another directory (on pc) console wise use a usb drive/memory card/ cloud save option.
admin/documents/telltale/insert game name here. (for pc)
not quite as big as season 1 ep2 release...
trust me...
that was a big ass shit storm.
