It'll come out when it's ready.
You obviously trust this company to make good games, or you wouldn't be here getting upset about it. So wh… morey not trust them to know when the game is ready for release?
They don't give us a solid date because they want to make absolutely sure that they don't disappoint us. I'd much rather have another 'coming soon' than an announcement of a specific target that they can't end up hitting.
That's certainly possible. And if that's the amount of time that it takes to make an amazingly great video game, then I'll gladly wait.
In the meantime, why don't you go ahead and keep making the amazing art that you create and always make sure to have come out exactly when your fans want it? Make sure to tell everyone exactly when it'll be released months in advance and not to miss your announcement date, because you wouldn't want to be a hypocrite or nothin.
That trailer was AWESOME!!! That guy 38 seconds in looks too much like kenny to be anyone else. I am kinda ticked about the cop out on the release date at the very end though. We've already heard "Coming Soon" way too much.
This is most certainly the reason. They haven't yet gotten the release date back from all of their distribution partners (remember, it's the console manufacturers that control the release dates, not Telltale), so they aren't yet able to give a release date for all platforms.
We already know the Xbox release date of December 18th, and very likely the Steam release of December 17th, since it's only one day before the Xbox release, and this page on the official UK PSN site that has a date of December 18th. It just looks like we're waiting for the North American PSN date now.
That's just the XBox release date, which we've had for a good while. I'd imagine they aren't giving anything more solid coz they don't have a… morenything for other platforms and don't want to say "Coming Dec. 18th on Xbox and real soon for everything else."
My hope is that they aren't saying that coz it'll be out on PC the day before.
I think I just uncovered a major spoiler. Some crazy holiday spirit-ghost is dragging corpses into the woods, and it's up to detective Clementine to banish it back into the nether realms
I totally noticed the same thing. It's Duck's picture of his family. Sad when you see it in season 1, and much sadder to think of Clem carrying it around with her to remember those she's lost.
I'm sorry but I would like to hear from Telltale and not Steam or Xbox Live. Until Telltale can confirm or deny, or even give a simple maybe to those dates...I don't believe it. Telltale has the final call.

I really don't think that is Kenny. Not to say that I wouldn't like it to be Kenny, but I just wouldn't put it pass TTG to put a tease like that in to get our hopes up, only to dash them when the first episode is finally released.
From a story perspective, having a character that looks like Kenny (at least from the back), but is not is a great way to build suspense and tension. I think Clem will be with Omid and Christa initially, then get separated from them. Lost and alone, Clem sees someone she thinks in Kenny, only for her to find out it is someone else.
But... I could be wrong. Personally, I think it is just best to wait and see until we get some confirmation.

The same people rushing them to get the game out ASAP will be the same people that will complain if the game comes out with an ungodly amount of bugs and a bad story.
Tell me more about the dozens of people working hundreds of hours that it takes to make your fan art and how you'd respond graciously if people sat and kept demanding that you create it on their schedule.
The difference, of course, is that there's really no one who expects your next piece of fan art, so there's not any actual pressure for you to come out with a new piece. That, and the fact that it's undoubtedly incredibly simple in comparison to a full-blown video game.
It's looking a lot like next week is the game's release. Just hold out a little longer. The only likely reason Telltale hasn't outright confirmed/denied the 17th/18th rumors is because they have to wait until they have official dates from Microsoft/Sony/etc, and are then able to confirm they are releasing it "very soon."
Given the rumored dates, I'm pretty sure it's safe to assume "very soon" is next week. Telltale usually waits to confirm dates themselves because they have to wait until they get release date info from Microsoft/Sony/etc.
I don't need to hear 'Coming very soon' for two months straight if it isn't true. Give an estimate of when you want it out like 'Fall 2013'. If it doesn't work, then just announced it's delayed for a while to further the process. Instead of hearing 'very soon' all the time...we'd at least know to wait. 'Very soon' to me means within a day or two, maybe three. Not a week or two. And most certainly not this 2 month gap in between waiting.
The same people rushing them to get the game out ASAP will be the same people that will complain if the game comes out with an ungodly amount of bugs and a bad story.
Once again you are wrong. Please stop it. And yes. You are generalising. This sentence right here:
Call me feminist but I think the medieval theme might be difficult to be implemented appealing for female gamers for reasons I listed above.
Why should I call you a feminist. You seem to be degrading women in most of what you say, so feminist isn't really the right word. And I don't have a problem with you generalising. What is the problem is that you are just plain wrong. It is not difficult - at all - to make medievel themes appealing for women. Check out The White Queen. Many women like Lord of The Rings, Game of Thrones, The Tudors and even Spartacus.
YOU don't like fantasy in medievel settings. YOU. From there - to saying that it will be difficult to make fantasy in medievel settings appealing to women there is a long stupid leap. If you inform yourself on the subject matter, then you would understand that women don't have a problem with fantasy in medievel settings.
I know: I like sci fi and I don't hate fantasy at all: I don't like fantasy in combination with medieval surrounding, though. I seem to talk t… moreo brick walls. Never said all women don't like it and still all of you try to impute me generalising. Call me feminist but I think the medieval theme might be difficult to be implemented appealing for female gamers for reasons I listed above. You are right everything has its raison d'etre as long as its presented the right way, but it's not always an easy thing to do. am repeating myself.
Given the rumored dates, I'm pretty sure it's safe to assume "very soon" is next week. Telltale usually waits to confirm dates themselves because they have to wait until they get release date info from Microsoft/Sony/etc.
That's a good idea, they should totally give an estimate of "Fall 2013" and then not make any more promises until they're absolutely sure as to when it'll be released on multiple platforms.
Wait, isn't that exactly what happened?
Also, the original release trailer in October only said "Coming soon," not "Coming very soon." So maybe actually wait a day or two, or maybe three, before you whine in a bunch of threads?

With deepest respect for this company. ,,they announced something major, they list time zones, and everyone waits hours in suspense. Keep in mind wolf among us, was delayed three months, for no reason. (I can understand give me a reason. Be Logical. Don't act your doing me a favor.
Very soon is more then a week. I know it was repeated to me a thousand times. They make great games. They seriously need stop blowing things from they should. Am I being a jerk, is news actually news, sound reasonable. What ig other company's did same, they'd get told.

Except "Duke Nukem Forever". That took, what, over 15 years to come out? Season 2 will be out, just how "soon" is soon is the real question at his point. I'm guessing it will be out either next week or after the first of the year. I really doubt TTG will release a game the week of Christmas or between Christmas and New Years. I think we should start preparing ourselves to a January or February release at this point.
Please tell me there is more. Tell me we did not wait almost a week for an eposide of preview of the game. I will reserve myself till I know w… morehich is case. If this isn't the game. Tell Tale is seriously over hyping it's stuff. It needs to tell difference from big event and something could been linked on homepage.
Seriously. No other company. Says so many times it's coming, it never does.

Telltale. When game is released i will say to myself "soon i will buy this game". Then after finishing epizode "soon i will buy this game". After playing all epizodes i will say "very soon i will buy this game". Then if its as good or better then 1 season i might buy this game. Very soon.
I love that the Telltale community really doesn't support opinions in any way unless they're positive. That's good to know. I don't need to come around here anymore. I'm just venting my frustration.
Brilliant. Yet another thread saying absolutely nothing that couldn't have been said on an existing one.
I guess someone just likes to see his name up top.

Sure looks like Kenny to me!
If you complain they have to release it later later. :P
When Telltale give us a "soon" we can't expect a release until a month from now.

That we heard in October.
Nice catch! I didn't notice that.
Noooooooo I can't be crying! I have to go to work in a few minutes and my eyes are sore and red. And now this!!!!
When I say coming very soon about my fanart, I mean tomorrow...
Last I heard from Telltale about "very soon" was in October.
You can keep waiting for an official announcement while we're playing the game on Steam.
Clem drew it, didn't she? In Ep3?

This thread reminds me a lot of the quicktime events in the game.
Coz it's all like QQ QQ QQ QQ QQ QQ QQ QQ
They're the only ones that can get away with it
And yet they don't tell us this. They just leave us with a soon...
