I liked Kenny, mostly because I think his character shows how a pretty "good" guy can be broken into a thousand pieces by tragic circumstances.
When my Lee made up with Kenny in the attic, despite the fact that they didn't get along for most of my Season 1 play through, I really meant it.
Despite his failings, I believe Kenny did what he thought was best and I couldn't fault him for that (because that's all I could do when put in tough spots... and we all know how even the best choice at those times is still no choice at all)...
I have to agree with this post... for the most part at least as I wasn't really a fan of Lily either. I didn't dislike either of them but I didn't particularly like them either. Both had valid points but both made some bad decisions and I lost any respect I had for Lily when she shot Carley. Kenny did redeem himself when he scarified himself... However, for me that's where his story ends. He died. I don't want him to have made it out alive. I don't see how it's possible.
I felt neutral-to-dislike toward kenny.
I certainly agree that I would have preferred Katjaa more, although I feel she would be less adept … moreat surviving alone than he.
But I think he is definitely selfish, rather annoying and really quite horrible to Lee.
His actions in the meat locker were abhorrent.
Some people view him as their bro. That's fine, I viewed Lilly as my bro until Telltale made it so she had to leave.
Regardless, I feel his character arc was tied up well in episode 5, sacrificing himself and saying that he didn't want to live as his family were dead.
It seems weird that he will now return, having said that he wanted to die, but whatever. As long as he isn't rammed down the throats of those that don't like him, as he was last season, it will be fine.
Same applies to those who hated omid and christa.
At one point, this guy Tyreese (black guy, has a kid that just died because of some stupid suicide she wanted with her boyfriend) he, Andrea and Glenn go to the prison's cafeteria to clean it up, and they get overrun, but Tyreese could've escaped, which he didn't. When Andrea goes back with Rick to the cafeteria they find him sitting down with all the walkers' corpses around him, and he says "Shit, what took you so long" (or somethin').
So yeah, he's alive, he took one for the team like a big bad mother fucker, but he was suicidal, that doesn't mean he wasn't heroic, or considerate to the rest of the group (although I do understand the situation wasn't the same).
I'm not saying the scene was heroic because he died. In fact, I don't think I ever said it was heroic, so you're running on a false assumption… more. Actually, I never said he lacked courage either, so I question if you fully read my comment, but anyway.
I'm saying it was a fitting end to his story, and a kind action, and indeed one that made me like him more, because of the big speech he made about how he doesn't mind sacrificing himself because he has nothing left to live for.
At that moment it didn't sound like he wanted to live anymore. So I find it surprising that he fought his way out of a very difficult situation, bearing that in mind.
The fact that he survived makes me skeptical that he was being genuine when he said he didn't want to live anymore. I mean, he must have fought incredibly hard to survive that building or the alleyway with very few bullets.
I don't want to necessarily call him a liar, but his words certainly don't matc… [view original content]
Lilly apologises for ditching you in the RV (if you say you won't leave).
If you say you will leave her, the only reason you can't go with … moreher is due to having too big of a plot split; that doesn't relate to her character.
I'm not sure what you mean about lilly letting your face be burned, I supported Lilly all the time and I managed to fight Andy off....why would she in particular be able to help?
She accuses you of stealing supplies because she has to accuse everyone. Everyone is a suspect in cases like that.
In my opinion, Kenny refusing to help you rescue clementine is worse than Lilly leaving in the RV.
If we look at both characters kill totals, indirect and direct, you have
Lilly: Doug/Carley (after being traumatised by having her father murdered brutally in front of her) = 1
Kenny: Shawn, Larry = 2
I know who I would trust more, the woman induced to mistrust and murder by a brutal slaughter and loss of everything sh… [view original content]
I always saw that as a "I'm not going to wait around while crazed, drug addicted, rape happy murderers and rotting, undead corpses are both sw… morearming through the walls just to save ONE person." I don't think he would have held the door shut had Lilly come to her senses earlier than she did, but he wouldn't have waited around for her if she'd kept shooting. I mean, even LEE says "Lilly, last chance!" before she snaps out of it.
But Merak and Byakuren are right, Kenny and Lilly really ARE very similar. It's too bad that he two of them never realized it.
Did you ever try to save Shawn in episode one? You can't, he dies anyway, bud.
So it counts as a kill for Lee as well? You can't count it as a kill in Kenny's shoulders because the writers wanted Shawn to die no matter what.

Y'all need to read the comic.

That is pretty interesting considering the both of them could be alive and could just appear in Season 2.
I mean you never see Lilly dying, if I'm correct.
I like most characters. My favourites are Shel, Clementine, Molly, Omid and Eddie. Why do you ask?
No, it doesn't count as a kill for Lee. I'm not sure you understand my point.
My point is that Kenny had the CAPABILITY to at least TRY to save Shaun, but he didn't.
If Lee saves duck first, he then tries to save Shaun. Kenny just runs off and leaves him to die.
You can say 'he was getting his kid to safety'; he could have just put duck down and ran to help. Duck wouldn't be in any danger.
I think he would have stayed for Katjaa, which shows that he wasn't only influenced by situation and was influenced by personal relations.
