My adventure game application for Telltale Games :)
Hello everyone!
My name is Diego Delfino, and I am a media producer. My credits include work for clients like EA, Hyundai, and SyFy Channel, and I'm also currently a producer for a Live-Action webseries on Machinima, backed by Microsoft Studios and 343. Some of you may also remember me from the Mixnmojo community.
I am currently trying to get a position as an assistant producer with my favorite company of all: Telltale Games. Hence, I decided to program a little videogame application. I hope you all like it! It should give you a good 40 minutes of fun:

Just extract the files, and double-click on Super Assistant Producer 4 FINAL.exe
Some of you may remember Marius Fietzek's brilliant application for Double Fine. I could never top such brilliant feat from a presentational standpoint! But at least I wanted to prove that I can lead a team in making a single episode and release it by Christmas, bug free (minus a few graphic glitches), and enjoyable. I really do hope you enjoy it as much as my team enjoyed making it.
Happy holidays!
PS: Here's a video walkthrough if you can't play it or if you get stuck:
PS2: If you want to play it on Mac, you can try Sonneveld's AGS Mac Engine and run it from there. http://www.agidev.com/tmp/EngineMac_2012_04_26.dmg. It works great, except it can't play the music.
UPDATE: Known bugs: the game crashes if you try to pick up (Le)Chuck the plant. I'll be fixing these as they appear and upload a new version soon
Comments
Tell Tale has applications in their section titled careers.
Thanks for the tip, fusedmass! I did see that. But I thought it would also be cool to also share my game with the community. Did you get the chance to play it?
It's worth noting that Marius got the idea from Tim Schafer himself, who made an adventure game about working at Lucasarts as his application to Lucasarts.
Your game looks rad, dude. I'll have to try it out later. I see from the screenshot that you didn't scrimp on inventory! Did you make this with AGS?
Haha, indeed, Tim Schafer's application was also an inspiration to me - as most likely to Marius as well.
Thanks for the comments about the game! I hope you get to play it and enjoy it. I did make it with AGS. It's really easy to pick up for all of us who are familiar with adventure games. Have you used it?
But I'm glad he also posted here so more people could see and enjoy his impressive work.
It's Marius 'Majus' Winter now, actually.
And his application has worked out quite, quite well.
It wasn't supposed to leak initially though, but Majus had hosted it on his own server and German games mags had picked up on the flash file so quickly... it went viral.
I'm afraid that mine doesn't have the viral potential Marius' had (because people actually have to play it) but I really hope it helps me! I've always dreamt of working at Telltale and I hope this is my chance. I'm happy to say that The International House of Mojo blogged about it though
