Full Throttle from Telltale Games
I'm sure it was discussed before, but woudln't it be friggin' epic? I mean, they did Monkey Island, they did Sam&Max (which both was part of Lucas Arts great legacy), but decided to skip Full Throttle and do something like Borderlands and Game of Thrones instead? I mean, is there any possibility Full Throttle won't be a success? Should we start a petition or something? Was there any annoucements on this I missed?

Full Throttle has Tim Schafer written all over it. The game shares a whole lot of themes with 'Brütal Legend'. Heck, it doesn't take much to see Ben as a plain ol' Mary Sue for Tim. There's even a certain likeness. Telltale doesn't come into THAT equation, I'm afraid.
I'm sorry, I don't really follow your point. Is it something to do with intellectual property issues? I can see why the sequel never worked out, with Tim Schafer leaving Lucas Arts, and the drafts that was made for the sequel... well... wasn't very impressive. It's a matter of talent and direction. And after playing Telltale's games, I firmly believe they are up to the task, even without Tim Schafer at the helm.
As far as I know, Full Throttle (like Monkey Island) was part of LucasArts and when they got bought by Disney so did all the game IPs. Disney would have to contact Telltale or Telltale would have to build up their influence and stature in gaming over the next decade before an attempt at reaching Disney could be done successfully.
What, haven't they already? One of their games been nominated for GOTY by multiple gaming publications, and made it to the "top 5" in some. If that's not "stature", I don't know what is
That's only step 1. Step 2 is being tethered to a big compuglobalhypermeganet Corp. (TM) - only then will they have a chance at talking to Disney.
Telltale has already peaked.
Surprised the other mods didn't mention this, but there's already a thread for games Telltale should make. It's right here.
