  • Finally got the chance to play the game
Only three complaints, 1 I played from my one save file I had since the game started and during the previously on it showed me not killing the first brother in episode two, 2 the ending of the episode was too similar to the a new day, and 3 way to short

I also encountered a weird model glitch after the time skip and for a good while clementines model was missing an eye. Freaked me out

  • Ok so I have a question, when the heck is The Walking Dead Episode 1 (Season 2) coming out on PS3 in New Zealand?

  • 'Soon'

According to this thread by Telltale's PR person puzzlebox, Telltale ran into ratings issues in New Zealand, Ireland, and Russia, so the game has been delayed in those countries until early next year.

  • I played the vita version for season 1, and I wait for season 2 release on vita in order to be able to use the season 1 backup. Please, tell us when you plan to release this version.

  • We should hopefully be getting news about this soon. Hang in there.

Anything to add about the releases in Russia, New Zealand or Ireland yet Telltale?

    We are waiting.

  • Telltale's PR person @puzzlebox just posted about the situation today:

We're still working to get Season Two rated and released in these regions. As with all our content, we're unable to announce concrete release dates until we have them confirmed. I'll post here as soon as we have dates for you guys!

  • What's the hold up though? They've been classified in New Zealand since the 13th of December. I'm not sure how the ratings are going in the other countries but I'd hope that we aren't being made to wait just so that they can release in these final markets simultaneously.

There are five episodes in each season. Episodes are usually available to download between 4 and 6 weeks apart.

With all the stuff going on with the Vita version, and trouble with releases in some countries, and with The Wolf Among Us god knows where. I'm wondering if Telltale will ever live up to this. They seem awfully quiet... Well, I will come back in one or two months again to check on things.

  • Could someone explain something to me?
They say they had rating issues in Ireland. But sure it's released in Ireland on PC/Mac and PS3.
Surely Microsoft doesn't have its own rating system? So if it was approved for PS3, then why not for Xbox?
I'm assuming that's either a bullshit explanation, or I'm missing something here

  • Ya I haven't been around much but thought I'd drop by, things haven't changed it seems.
Unfortunately I personally believe Telltale bit off more than they could chew, handling 2 games seems to be a great feat so why guarantee another 2. Anyways good luck Telltale and associates, if the past year was a headache.......

PS Still love TWD/TWAU, just don't agree with the companies practices.

It's TTG's inability to adapt to Sony's and MS's game approval systems, that's what it is =(

I'm not a member of the Telltale team, just a volunteer moderator, so my post isn't an official response, but it's clear Telltale is still working with all of the necessary organizations in order to resolve this issues they've been having with releasing the game on the Xbox 360 in New Zealand, Ireland, and Russia.

The proof that work has been done on this matter is in the fact that the Microsoft marketplace now has pages for The Walking Dead Season Two in New Zealand, Ireland, and Russia. The fact that the store pages have been made is a good indication that any issues have been resolved in these regions, and the game should be coming soon. :)

Now we just have to wait for Microsoft to set the release dates. Hopefully it won't be too long.

  • when the episode 2 is comming?!

  • Q1 of 2014. (on PC, PSN and Xbox)

  • When i went on my ps3 after i stopped looking on here i went on the psn store and the season pass was there. Brilliant i was so annoyed when season 1 episodes would take a whole month longer i'm really glad they've stoped this

Good thing I have both the PS3 and the Vita. Otherwise, I'd be sitting here waiting like a madman. Hang in there :/

  • Yeah, I understand. They're not very good with communicating with their fans, but the games themselves makes up for it (for me, at least). I would love to have season 2 on the go now, though.

The only official word from Telltale was that news would be coming "soon after the holidays". The January bit was my fault, as I jumped the gun a bit when I updated the thread title. Hopefully the news for the vita releases of The Walking Dead Season Two and The Wolf Among Us will be coming soon.

  • It's not really your fault. "Soon after the holidays" pretty much means January, as far as I'm concerned. 35 days (and counting) is not very "soon", if you ask me.
